In fact, off topic but relevant, the local council have switched to fortnightly rubbish collection here, and theres never enough room in the bin. Posting it upto Littlewoods would seem to kill two birds with one stone........illegitimi non carborundum0

Also how about applying for loads of catalogues to be sent to non-existent addresses.......would cost them the cost of the catalogue, its postage, and its return postage from addressee unknown.illegitimi non carborundum0

Seems like they want to dig a really big hole for themselves as they have already been formally notified that the amount is in dispute and so have breached the OFT guidlines on Debt Collection - Unfair business practise. THis action is now viewed as harassment conttrary to s40(1) Administration of Justice Act.
A claim is going in against them
Time to see what Littlewoods reply will be to a summons
have you heard anything since you put in this claim?0 -

Send another letter tomorrow recorded if you can. You have your email proof anyway, but just to make sure. Once you can prove you have disputed the amount, any extra charges are illegal and you will be able to get these taken off. Have you been to http://www.geteven.biz to register your details and fill in the form? The more people that do this, the better chance and better case we have against these morons!
Spread the word!
NTM - I doubt whether it is imperative you send Littlewoods a R/D letter confirming you are challenging their right to apply a £12 surcharge, as they are operating outside their own t's and c's by applying one in the first place. According to my reckoning the £12 applies to a credit account ONLY.0 -

I agree, but they are opening up credit accounts for people that paid in full via card at the time of purchase - highly illegal! They are then adding £12 admin fees onto these accounts when people are refusing to pay...0 -

Okay i admit to being one of those scared to fight, so I just paid off the £25 and asked to close my account. However, this morning I receive a letter saying they have checked my account and i owe a further £50.41 due to vouchers I have used in the past (over about 2 years), and the balance is due immediately. I know that most of these vouchers I used over the 2 years I did receive personally, and now I don't know what to do, I already have a lot of stressful situations going on in life at the moment and I could do without another one.0

That's outrageous!!!! snakeeyes21 on hotukdeals had the same thing and threatened them with Small Claims Court. They soon backed down after that! Let me assure you that what they have done/are trying to do is completely illegal and you should tell them to do one. Cancel your DD, inform them that you will not be paying and that you are placing the amount in dispute (by recorded delivery). Also, get in touch with You and Yours (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/youandyours/youandyours_contact.shtml) - this is programme I was on and I am sure they will be extremely interested in your story! Why not send it Watchdog also?
I see you have joined www.geteven.biz - good move!Whatever you do, don't stress about it. Any charges they apply are illegal, as are the extra amounts for the cancelled vouchers. They don't have a leg to stand on - we'll get it sorted eventually!!!
Oh, one final thing, could you fill in this form on geteven please?
Cheers
