Write to the CEO to complain about the customer service agent you talked to. No matter what the deal with vouchers you should have been treated decently

Not going to waste a stamp, or any more time, on these crooks.

Avoid Littlewoods everyone, let's hope they do a Farepak and disappear up their own backsides.

With the way they treat their customers, I probably won't have long to wait for the last laugh.

PS: The CEO Mark Newton Jones is one of the people I have sent e-mails to, got automated read receipts, but not a hint of a reply. Crap customer care from the top downwards, no doubt having a good laugh at our expense.
  • Your not the only one mate.

I got a letter this morning from their Directors Office. I will type it out when I have a few minutes.

Basically said iour T&C's mean we can do what we want to you as the consumer.

Did not even address the fact that I was called names "Code Abuser" by their customer services.

Going to write 1 last letter saying that I appreciate their "Standard" response but it does not address the numpty who insulted their customer and distressed me and that I would request £25 goodwill payment for the distress caused by their customer services soiling my good name.

    Hehehehe.

Wonder where I got the £25 good will gesture from. Or should I make it £50 as they usually pay half. Lol. When I receive the goodwill gesture i can pay for their stupid code. lol.

  • Dear Heavensbug, thank you; i'm in hysterics again !!!!
I do hope you aren't too traumatised at being called a code abuser !!!
I will never phone customer services..if they called me that I would be cackling down the phone, obviously I need to get out more ! lol
Let's face it, none of us would order their overpriced goods without some kind of code to abuse !!
  • I remembered this happening to a lot of people last year and posted a warning on the other littlewoods post but not sure if people noticed, heres a link to the thread ..this was same time last year.....http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=196731&highlight=warning+littlewoods

In my opinon I think you can generally use the codes, but once loads of people start using it, it gets flagged up and they start revoking....so the first lot of people to use it will probably get away with it but the last lot won't.

    Read point 2.3 on their t & C ....

2.3 Where you have redeemed a promotional code or any other offer ("a Code") against your order, acceptance of this order is subject to our verifying that the Code has been issued to you personally, that you comply with all the terms of the offer and qualify for the Code. In the event that the Code has not been issued to you for your personal use or you do not qualify for the offer, the price of the order will be adjusted notwithstanding any email or other confirmation that you receive.

That is quite confusing...but in some cases if you fight them and say they should have rejected the purchase at the point of check out when verifying, and not sent out the goods, some tend to back down, it really depends on who you speak with and how hard you fight...goodluck :o

This is just a suggestion; I think if everyone on this forum and other forums dealing with littlewoods all write in on a specific day and copy in trading standards, consumer rights, watchdog etc it might just make a difference.

I know people have been writing in, but thats like one letter a week which can be ignored with a standard letter reply. If everyone comes together and decide to send thier letters of complaint out on a particular day lets say a Monday (postal strike withstanding) littlewoods and all the other agencies would receive a bulk of letters within 3/4 days and that might make at least one of the agencies sit up and start to wonder whats going on over at littlewoods.

Well thats my little suggestion its just a little excersise in people power sorry if not explained properly but I think its better if everyone send a letter in at the same time as oppose to here and there.....:o

I'll have to start charging. Got to get my £25 back for my code abusing somehow ;)

Or, we could order loads of stuff and just keep sending it back, the postage would cost them heaps.;)

Me too! I've closed my account and received an email saying they pride theirselves on their customer care:rotfl:

I have responded with another saying 'you have absolutely nothing to be proud of'.
