I have emailed all my catalouge accounts that are owned by littlewoods, asking them to close my accounts, I have just had replies, saying they are sorry to see me go, but are closing my accounts,
Louise
I closed my account with them too, got an email "sorry to hear you want to leave, hope you back to us.. blah blah blah!" Got a letter through post telling me that my account was now closed..BUT I can still log on to my online accountHave telephoned them and they said its just incase I change my mind...SO they havent really closed the account:mad: CS told me that all though I have "closed" the account I and they still have access to it. I don't understand all this. And if the day came when I would want to shop with them I wouldn't be able to get new cusatomer discount!

Don't know about you but i'm kinda getting hooked on this thread, at MSE together with Google, HotUKDeals and others - it's a bit like a nicotine addiction isn't it - if I don't get a fix of reading the threads and the new postings every so often I go into a depressed state !!
At best I feel that I should cough up the £25 and put it down to it being worth that price for a damn good read - almost turning into a best seller.
I noticed that someone, can't remember where suggested in "taking LW to court". If they believe I owe them money - it's up to them to take me to Court not visa versa. Bring it on I say
There's more ...... occasionally someone will post a reply to the effect that LW are covered by their t's & c's - now it wouldn't be too much to expect that these forums are being read and written into by LW employees would it0 -
My statement does not show when I have to pay the £25 by and it does not even show how to pay. As you can see below:0

I recently used a voucher when buying some shirts. The voucher worked and the £10 was credited back to my bank account.
However, the shirts did not fit and they were returned. I was refunded the full amount by littlewoods, so now I am waiting for the £10 to be taken from bank, ie the voucher.
I think it is because of the way they use the vouchers, you pay the full amount and then the discount is paid back into your bank account.
It is a very strange way of doing things, but this is probably how they are able to track all of the seperate codes and vouchers they have issued to individual people.
It won't affect me, but hopefully this will shed a bit of light on things for other people??0 -
Just had one of their call centre numpties on the phone and I was just banging my head against the wall. She was wittering on and on and on for 26 minutes. She was also very abusive and said my credit rating will be badly affected if I didn't pay there and then (payment due by 15 October).
So I am sorry but I paid by credit card.
But ultimately it is them who will pay. I will make sure that anybody I meet will be told about these crooks. That will cost them a lot more than £25.
Why are they so desparate for the money I wonder. I hope the credit crunch and the postal strike is hitting these scammers where it hurts.
Its probably cost them more than £25 to read all my e-mails for the last fortnight.
With that sort of abusive employee, it is a company even more best avoided not withstanding this voucher scandal.

No I have a cash account as statement says credit limit £0.00 Arrears £25.00.
I have had enough of this company and their refusal to answer e-mails despite being read by Mark Newton Jones, Anne-Marie Groarke and Lesley Coyne who are supposed to be senior people at this cowboy outfit.
I will not have my credit rating impacted by these scum. So I just paid for peace of mind (by credit card to get that damned harridan off the phone), but I am not happy and this company has left a bitter taste in the mouth.
I e-mailed watchdog over a week ago, and updated them with the e-mails I was sending to Shittlewoods.
I heard nothing back from them.
I think Watchdog is only interested in whatever gets viewer ratings. A bunch of internet users moaning about a voucher being cancelled is probably of no interest.
I will cost that company more than £25 in the long run, what with comments on any thread I see about that crooked company and warning anybody I jknow not to do business with them.
That vile call centre woman really distressed me to be honest. They don't give a toss about consumer law and seem to think they are above it. Maybe they are.0 -
Write to the CEO to complain about the customer service agent you talked to. No matter what the deal with vouchers you should have been treated decently0
