RE: Cancellation of £25 Voucher
I am writing to notify you of my disdain regarding your recent statement stating that the £25 off voucher that I used 3 months ago (on the 24th July 2007) has been cancelled and I now owe Littlewoods the sum of £25 payable by 15th October!
I would like to point out the following:
· On the 24/07/07 an order (no: xxxxxxxxxxx) was completed, with the voucher accepted, thus a contract accepted by Littlewoods for the sale of the item at the price of £33.30 minus £25.00 = £8.30
· For the past 3 months, I have had no indication that this voucher was void, or would be cancelled, in which case you are illegally revising a completed and accepted contract
I would like to summarise that I will not be paying the £25 “outstanding balance” as the order has been completed with no indication or reason for the voucher to be cancelled at the time of transaction., however should you wish to withdraw this unlawful and immoral cancellation of a 3month old voucher, I will consider continuing to buy from Littlewoods. Should you persist in demanding this money, I will gladly settle this in a court of Law.
Sincerely,

I am not getting any responses to my e-mails so I have sent the last one as far as I am concerned making use of your letter and also of the fact that you have received a refund.
This is what I have sent .....

This is my last e-mail on this matter. I am not successful in getting a response so far, though by the read receipts I am getting, the e-mails are being read. A read receipt for this e-mail is suitable proof that its contents have been received and read by Littlewoods. There seems little point posting anything due to the postal strike which will be impacting on deliveries for the next week.
I am using the wording of a letter that has been used to get this illegal charge removed from an account and I expect the charge to be removed from my account in the same manner.
If I do not get a return phone call or e-mail by 11th October I will consider the matter closed. If the cancellation is not withdrawn then I will challenge this in court. However by issuing refunds to other complainants the company has set a precedent as to how they choose to deal with such complaints and weakens any tenuous case for the charge substantially.
Any attempt to influence my credit rating as a result of this will be dealt with to the fullest extent possible under the law.
Note to Watchdog: There are hundreds of people being treated in this way by Littlewoods and some are being refunded and some, so far, are not.

RE: Cancellation of £25 Voucher
I am writing to notify you of my disdain regarding your recent statement stating that the £25 off voucher that I used nearly 3 months ago (on the 24th July 2007) has been cancelled and I now owe Littlewoods the sum of £25 payable by 15th October!
I would like to point out the following:
· On the 24/07/07 an order (A/C Vxxxxxx-1) was completed, with the voucher accepted, thus a contract accepted by Littlewoods for the sale of the item at the price of £28.50 minus £25.00 = £3.50
· For the past 2 months, I have had no indication that this voucher was void, or would be cancelled, in which case you are illegally revising a completed and accepted contract
I would like to summarise that I will not be paying the £25 “outstanding balance” or "arrears" (sic) as the order has been completed with no indication or reason for the voucher to be cancelled at the time of transaction., however should you wish to withdraw this unlawful and immoral cancellation of an over 2 month old voucher, I will consider continuing to buy from Littlewoods. Should you persist in demanding this money, I will gladly settle this in a court of Law.
Sincerely,

i contacted consumerdirect about this last night and the response was...
Dear Ms XXXXXX
Thank you for contacting Consumer Direct, Please make a note of your case reference number SC XXXXXXX, which should be quoted in future correspondence .
In response to your email I would advise that if all terms and conditions of the offer were met and this was accepted by the trader and the contract completed they should not be able to request further payment (unless you were aware there had been an error made at the time).
I would advise making complaint by recorded delivery letter advising that the payment had been accepted and the contract was complete and request written confirmation that no further payment is owed.
Why is the voucher/code not valid

I've heard of catologue selling, but this farce is turning Littlewoods into a "catologue of disasters". One wonders how much business they have lost through people reading this thread and similar - doesn't show Littlewoods or the likes of Littlewoods up in a good light !0
