I’m such a bad influence, my biscuit chat has jumped threads 🤣🍪🍪🍪
oh no to the nits 😖, nasty little blighters. You’d think they would have died out completely over lockdown…who was harbouring them for all that time??

I dread to think. I might have to blow torch her head!

I've just washed the towels she used this morning. I only bloody washed them all yesterday 🤦‍♀️ and now stuck all her bedding in.

Ouch! We only had nits once that we know of, but I have no idea how long we had them for. My head was very itchy and I kept chaging shampoos, thinking that my scalp was too dry or sotmehing. The boys never complained and when I finally found out and asked them they said they were never itchy. The nigth I found out I couldn't bear the itch anymore and had a thought that I should give the special comb a try. 2am in the morning I was combing my freshly washed/heavily conditioned hair, there were so many of them  :scream:

Had them twice. Once I was at work, scratched my head and a little blighter dropped on a piece of paper in front of me. Sure I caught them from the headrest on a plane.😬

Will be off to supermarket at lunchtime to buy industrial amounts of conditioner and special shampoo.

Eurgh I feel all itchy now. Doesn't help I have dermatitis in the back of my head so it gets itchy anyway 😔

Thanks for the recipe will give them a go.

we’ve had nits once - straight after a holiday at Haven where DS wore one of their swimming hats in the pool (was doing underwater jetting) - emailed them afterwards to warn them and the manager replied telling me they couldn’t have got nits in them as they drown and the chlorine would kill them.

Managed to do madams hair. OMG 😮 I've never seen so many! I got a fine tooth comb through it but couldn't get the nit comb. Copious amounts of washing and conditioner over the next few days. Did mine too and apparently clear but I'm still itching 😬

My Friday started pretty much how my Thursday did. Stressful!  16yo had to be at work at 7am. He was up in time and left at 6.30am on his electric scooter.  At 7am I get a phone call from him saying he's lost and at Krispy Kreme's (worse places to be stranded. I got stuck there for about four hours once!) and would I come and get him.  Got to him and dropped him at work, had a word with his boss to let them know not entirely his fault. MrM had told him to use the car route on Google Maps. Unfortunately this took him to the A3 and a 3 lane dual carriage way and he had no idea where to go.  Then I had to rush back home, sort out 11yo's packed lunch and get her to school.

Work is super busy as I did nothing yesterday at all and it's coming up to month end. Good news is it's payday! Although I still need to finish working on my budget.

We may also be rehoming a little 3 year old blenheim cavalier king charles spaniel.  My friends sister runs a greyhound rescue and one of her volunteers was asking about rehoming this poor dog that is living with a family she works for. The dog doesn't get on with their dog but they'd already rehomed him from one of their family members.  We had said we didn't really want to get another dog and not a cavalier as that's what Ozzie was.  However Ozzie was a tri colour, black, white & brown grumpy eyebrows and this boy is red and white.  Had a chat with MrM and 16yo and both in agreement we should do this so now waiting to arrange to see the dog. We've seen a picture and a video of him out on a lead walk.  Looks like he just needs some loving, attention and regular walks.  I melted when I saw his picture, I'm a sucker for a sob story.

This weekend I need to get 16yo some cheap trackies, shorts and t-shirts to take away and then take him off to his camping job for the next 10 days.  Hoping to get a nice pub lunch in on Sunday on the way 😀

    Have fun one and all!

What a spendy weekend! Spent £50 in Primani on 16yo then dropped him up to Derbyshire for his 10 days of work. Stopped on the services on the way up and back. They charge a fortune as have a captive audience 🤬.  My back is also aching as we went in MrM's car. Much speedier than mine but seats not suited to me. Also needed a tank of petrol so that will have to come out of my July budget.

Did 11yo's hair again, got a load more of the buggers out but all tiny and got the nit comb through her hair.  Did my hair and I too have the nasties 🤢.  Good thing is she is home self isolating for 10 days after a positive case at school so her year bubble home schooling again. Gives me a chance to get on top of it and her not to share them!

Still haven't finished doing the budget. I'm so busy with work and too tired in the evenings.  I still have to do my MrT's online shop for tonight or it'll be more expensive bananas being delivered. 🤦‍♀️

No news on the dog yet. I think the family that have him are having 2nd thoughts but the rescue contact I'm going through has told them to decide by Friday and do what's best for the dog.

Just caught up on the dog. It sounds like he needs you! I hope they do the right thing.
I’m still wishing I could get stuck in a donut shop for 4 hours….
