POF. I'd about given up on it but had a message notification so logged in to read it. While I was online I got another message from he who is now the bloke, remembered having looked at his profile a few times as he had a profile picture which shows his face utterly lit up in a huge smile, but had been a totally intimidated by the fact our only common interest is running but he takes it incredibly seriously while I tend to sign up to events after a few drinks then take part equally hungover.
But the message was written in actual English, punctuated and grammatically decent as well as being interesting and making me laugh.
Chatted on the site for a week then decided we should meet up before he was going away for a week. Spent 4 hours chatting and not drinking (in a pub for me thats pretty well unheard of) the next two weeks chatting via text then went out on our second date two weeks later and haven't looked back. Albeit I had to force three glasses of wine down his neck before he'd agree to stay over the first time (being too much of a gentleman he thought I'd be too tired after having done a triathlon that afternoon) but we've hardly spent a night apart in the 5 months since then.
Still no idea why he puts up with me!It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

On POF. He had a unique way with words which seemed different to everyone else I had spoken to. Took us 8 weeks to meet up, during which time we were in constant contact.
