Online (POF) 3 years ago. I knew he was something worth pursuing during after our first date. I hadn't once looked at my phone in about 3 hours.

We moved in together within 10 months, engaged/married just outwith our first year and now we're expecting.

He wasn't my usual type, I replied to his message as he seemed like he could be good chat, turns out I was right

I did a summer placement at his place of work while I was still at uni. We were engaged within a month of meeting and married a year later. Still going strong after 14 years.

I met him on a train.

He read a term in my notebook and we started talking. When we got off at the same stop i felt a bit miffed he hadn't asked for my number.

Next morning we were on the same train again and nattered all the way to placement / training. As we got off the train he asked for it and said one of the kids at work had distracted him the night before.

It's nearly 4 years now.

Through a website called meetup. It's more to find people with similar interests/hobbies that a friend of mine mentioned to me when I said I wanted to get out and find new friends. I joined a 25-40s group, went along for a Sunday roast and my OH was there. We were both signed up to online dating at the time, but never expected to find any one through meetup! We now have a lovely group of friends who we met through meetup and our lives are immeasurably better
