Hi all, thanks for popping in. Feeling a bit better now as DH has spoken to his managers and they are giving him the rest days we need for 4 weeks whilst they try and organise a permanent swap for him. Fingers crossed they can find someone willing to do it.

Still need to sit down & figure out childcare for next month as there will still be days when we cross over work-wise and will need an hour or two of DS cover.

Got most of the housework done today that I wanted to get done which was good. :T But now have slightly swollen ankles and my mum was giving me a row for not putting my feet up enough. Will have to try and rest a bit more tomorrow. Would like to clean the kitchen and bathroom floors as well as get more washing done but will see how things go.

DH is giving me lectures about not getting stressed and relaxing more. He doesn't want me to do the overtime shift I agreed to do on Saturday but I don't like to cancel now I've said I'll do it. It's only one shift and then I have 3 days off though.

Had to stop there to move to let my Siamese boy onto my knee, he was sitting beside me tapping my arm very politely. :rotfl: Usually he just gives me a bite  so he must be in a good mood. :rotfl:

Need to head to bed soon, not sleeping great but need to at least rest.

Well at least that’s some good news on the shifts

Hi Beanie, yes I was really panicking about the shifts, at least we have 4 weeks and hopefully DH can get sorted beyond that. His managers have been surprisingly helpful, at his last depot he would have just been told tough luck.

Was hoping to get a washing hung out but it's just started raining, still stuffy though so got fans on in the house etc. The rain will be good for the garden at least. Will try and clean the kitchen and bathroom floors then have a rest.

80p off cashing out with OP and cashed another £5 out yesterday on another site. Survey money will probably need to go towards my clothes spending for the rest of this month. :( Have a couple of things to return so will get a refund on those, only £14 but better than keeping things I'm not sure about and wasting that money totally.

DH has given me a voucher for a massage/treatment for my birthday, I might save it for after the baby is born. I usually go to the girl the voucher is for for facials but she also does lovely back massages. Not been for ages and do miss having the odd treatment as it's so relaxing. My sister has said she is going to book me in for a pregnancy massage in the next week or so. :)

DS is staying with my mum again tonight as both DH and I are early shift tomorrow. So lucky that she is happy and able to do this for us as it makes life so much easier.

Got the hospital on Friday for a glucose tolerance test, not looking forward to that. Will be there all morning, hopefully won't be too bad and I can take my kindle to pass the time I suppose.

DH also has an architect coming over in the afternoon that day to give us an idea of the costs for plans etc due to the council's nitpicking over our original plan. At least we can make an informed decision after that though.

Well the glucose tolerance test wasn't too bad and I coped quite well with the needles (sometimes feel faint with them :o) but my first fasting bloods came back right on the cut off for possible gestational diabetes. So now I have to go back to the hospital next week for the diabetes clinic. :( Have never been to the hospital so much in my life! I think this baby will be a medical professional. :rotfl:

Was also told my Haemoglobin was very low so am now on iron tablets as well. :( I thought I would be as had to take them when pregnant with DS as well.

Saw my midwife for the 28 week check up whilst I was there and everything was fine. Measuring normally etc but then I measured fine with DS and he was just under 10lbs when he was born.

Feeling fed up with hospitals and appointments atm as have to try and juggle them around work and childcare. I refuse to take DS with me to the hospital as it would be a total stress fest - he'd be running off every 2 seconds.

In less stressful news my sister has booked me in for a full body pregnancy massage next week. :T Looking forward to that and will probably fall asleep!

Cashed out on OP yesterday but was a donkey and made a typo in my p@ypal email. I emailed them straight away and they were pretty quick to reply saying that they had attached a note to the payment request with the correct email. Fingers crossed it goes through ok.

Work was like Groundhog Day - wondering why I bother putting things in the log as no one seems to read them. In tomorrow for my overtime shift and DH doing OT tonight and tomorrow as well. We're exchanging our child in the car park at my work so DH can get to his shift on time tomorrow. :rotfl:

Finally did my ironing today. :j The pile has been lying there for literally months as I iron as little as possible and only really tragically creased things are even added to the pile. :o Also got rid of a bag of old/unwanted clothes this morning as one of the charity bags came through the door. Have made a start on the next one, need DH to go through his things and will need to do mine again too. I have far too many clothes that just don't get worn. :o

DH put a washing on and hung it out earlier so I brought it in and put it all away. Nothing much else done housework wise apart from the dishes etc.

The architect came round and we're looking at £900 plus VAT for the plans the council require just to convert the garage. DS took a real liking to the architect and kept trying to cuddle him. :rotfl:

Oh, forgot to mention in my giant post that my student loan statement arrived the other day. The total has went up because they charge interest (and also put the interest rate up from 1.5 to 1.75%).

Obviously I'm now paying less to it as on job share and I don't always earn enough every month for them to take some money but it's just so annoying. I feel like I'll never get rid of it, still owe them £8K and it's going up!! Not going to get better in the short term either as obviously will be on maternity leave again in a few months.

My pension contributions are dire too on the job share rate so will need to try and pay extra to that once I'm back at work after baby no2.

Best to just put the student loan to the back of your mind.
Nothing you can do about it.

Yes you're right Beanie, my DH said the same about the student loan. It's just annoying.

My DS was a big boy. :rotfl: He was 13 days overdue though so I think that had something to do with his size.
