Yay for the car being delivered. Finally 🥴
Once you get used to the automatic you might not want to go back to a manual 🙃

Thanks guys, I still haven't tried it, feel very apprehensive about it as it's different to what I'm used to and it's a bigger car as well. I can't get too used to the automatic anyway as I'll mostly be driving the manual. 😂
I'm exhausted, DD still isn't well and hasn't been sleeping great the last two nights. Last night was the worst though as she was waking up every hour to 2 hours from 1am screaming about something else. 😫 She didn't feel well, then she wanted her onesie pjs off then she wanted a nightie but then she wanted pjs then she wanted medicine/a drink/a cuddle/a tickle/daddy etc etc. She was screaming so loudly that she woke DS up at 3am and he started playing and chatting! 🤦♀️ This morning was not fun. 😢
Just to add to the joy the outlaws are descending on us this weekend. 😩 I have cleaned the bathrooms and the kitchen, did the big cat litter clean, hung out one washing and have another on. Yesterday I hoovered the stairs and the upstairs rooms. Still need to brush and hoover the couches and clean the floor downstairs but have run out of energy.
DH & I went to the big Swedish shop yesterday and bought an easel for DD's birthday. I also bought big cushions and covers to replace the cushions on the rocking chair I painted earlier in the year. I think I'll need to sew some ties onto the cushions for the back of the chair so it doesn't slide down but that should be easy enough.
Is it bad that I am going to hide the cushions whilst the outlaws are here? 😂 Because otherwise they will insist that FIL needs the chair for his back and want to move it downstairs where he will then proceed to ruin/flatten my new cushions! FIL always used to take that chair when it was downstairs even though it was actually there for me to sit in with the babies. 😠
I had such a difficult birth with DS and had a long recovery period - I could only walk short distances for a long time and had terrible back and pelvic pain for months afterwards but the outlaws thought nothing of turfing me out of my own chair. I didn't have the energy to argue with them at that point in time. As one of my friends likes to say about the outlaws - they are terrible people!Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. So tempting to say to DH that while his mum and dad are here to help you're going to have a few days away like he does.....2

😂 good idea Cranky, I just don’t trust the outlaws with the kids being so young. They are going home today, luckily I was working yesterday and today/tomorrow so don’t have to deal with them now.Outlaws were better behaved than previously but still irritating. DD has been in a foul mood all weekend because she’s not well, I think she might have an ear infection so need to phone the Drs this morning. The outlaws of course were getting annoyed with her screaming and crying. They kept saying to DH that we should ignore her! She was actually getting hysterical at one point trying to get to me and I had to just go and get her. I ignored them instead. 😠
They are persisting in the preference for DS and think DD is spoiled - no she is just coming up to 3 and has no impulse control.
We moved DS’s bedframe into DD’s room with a new mattress so she is now in a single bed and built the new bedframe I bought for DS. They both seem happy.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Forgot to mention that I managed to get another 3 months kindle unlimited free. I only finished my last 3 months free a week ago so that’s pretty good. 👍🏻Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Thanks SA, yes at least we will have a couple of months break from the outlaws now. Fortunately they were making comments to DH about DD’s behaviour and not to me because I probably would have bitten their heads off.
DH had to take DD to the Dr yesterday and she has an infection in both ears so has antibiotics now. No wonder she was screaming & crying all weekend ☹️ I feel bad as was going to phone the Dr on Friday but she seemed to be getting better.
DH said she screamed the whole time at the surgery and tried to hit the Dr when he went near her. 😳
I was at bedtime story club last night with DS, it was at the library so I took a load of books back that I had taken out for the kids and we got a couple more out.
DS’s teacher said they keep finding him looking at books at school, nursery always said the same too. He is very interested in books but is struggling with learning letters and sounds. I have found an app that helps kids to learn letters & sounds but it’s more like a game and he quite enjoys it so fingers crossed it helps.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
