That doesn’t sound like a fairly lazy day to me 😆 Hope you get a decent night’s rest with DD tonight.

  • You sound as busy as always! Hope DH has the car now and that DD has been settling better, it's such hard work dealing with overtired, emotional munchkins x

Thanks guys, DD has slept better the last few nights. I think she is always a bit knocked off when I’m working as otherwise she’s with me 80% of the time. Hopefully she will settle more once she’s at nursery.

DH still not got the new car, apparently getting it next week now. 😠

Went over to my friend’s house on Saturday and had a nice night. I went to school with both friends and have known one of them since I was about 5 so seats good to catch up!

DH is going down south tomorrow to visit one of his friends for a couple of days. I’m looking forward to the peace to be honest even though I’ll have the kids and will be doing the school runs on my own.

Have sold more of the kids stuff on v!nted and my friend gave me a big bag of clothes for DD. Means I only need to buy her socks & tights now which is great.

DD has been a nightmare on the school runs, she is refusing to hold my hand when we're walking along the busy road so I have to hold her arm in a death grip. She bites, scratches, nips and headbutts me trying to escape - all whilst screaming in a demon voice "Let me GO!" "I want to WALK" "I want a CUDDLE" "I want to pick you up" 😆 obviously she wants me to pick her up 🤷‍♀️

Poor DS just walks along looking fed up and I'm just holding on for dear life. It took me 20 mins to get her sorted in the car at home time yesterday because she was still raging that I didn't carry her all the way from the car to school and back again. She kept taking her arms out of the car seat straps and trying to get out whenever I got into the car to start driving. 😖

Today both kids were crying as we walked into school FML - DS because I "went the wrong way" into the school and he "didn't want to walk that way" - the way we walk 80% of the time but hey what do I know. DD was just being her charming self then started screaming (more) when DS was walking in the door "But I want to go to SCHOOOOOL".

I have dropped DD off at my mum's for the day so I can have some peace and try to recover from her terrible school run behaviour. Honestly in the mornings she is fine until we get out of the car then is a demon until we get back in the car and she is her normal self!

Oh Sashy I feel your pain! These 2nd children really test every fibre of our being don't they? You really wonder what is going through their minds at times and it's so hard keeping calm when they're kicking off in public  :(

    (((((Big hugs)))))

Well done for dropping her at your Mums, you need the time to decompress. Hope you manage to do something just for you while you're child free.

I've packed my 2 off to breakfast club at school today as I'm sick of battling DS2 from the minute he opens his eyes! There's hardly any children around at that time of day so he doesn't have an audience to play up to, I've been for a quiet cup of coffee at my favourite cafe, am dreading picking him up at 3 though  :s

Thanks Dancing, I hope DS2 behaves a bit better for you later.

It’s so embarrassing as DD now behaves like this every day, twice a day!! She’s actually pretty good most of the time at home but you would never believe it if you saw her at school drop off/pick up. People must hear her coming & think oh not that demon child again 🤣

Yesterday at pick up she was screaming because she didn’t like the ground we were standing on in the playground!! I mean what am I meant to do about the ground offending her? 🤣

I remember now why I found the age of 3 difficult with DS and he was nowhere as bad as DD.

Just hoping she’ll calm down a bit once she’s in nursery, I think a lot of the rage is because she’s desperate to go into nursery and we’re walking past. Only 6 weeks now until she starts, I can’t wait!

My mum is taking DD one day a week just now to give me a break as she’s such a handful at times. She’s having epic meltdowns as soon as she doesn’t get her own way which is always fun. My mum also said I can drop DD off for a few hours on another day if she’s really driving me mad.

Luckily(!) I’m working lates Fri/Sat and then Mon/Tues so DH will have to deal with her. 👀

Oh this brings back so many memories of my two. DD had tantrums at everything. I have so many photos of her having a strop. DS was a lot calmer apart from a blip involving shoes when he was 2 🤦‍♀️

Good that your mum will take her when needed as they tend to behave for grandparents.

She’ll grow out of it eventually, give her another 15 years or so 😆 Wait until she hits her teens, brace yourself  😬

😂 SA my mum told me to pre-order some anti-depressants to deal with DD's teenage years. 😳 😩 DD seems to take after my sister and she was a wild teenager so I'm scared.

Today's school run wasn't quite so bad, DD only attempted to bite me once and scratched me a few times half-heartedly. The screaming wasn't as loud either, I told her if she behaved she could have a banana and a chocolate coin when we got home. 😂

The deputy head who deals with the nursery and lower school was on the gate this morning and she already knows DD due to her always kicking off during bookbug. 🤦‍♀️ She said hello to DD and asked her if she was causing a fuss (as she was grumbling/trying to escape) and I just replied "as usual". 😂

DD and I have just been having a chilled day at home as I'm back at work tomorrow. I need to leave earlier than usual so I can go into town and get birthday cards for my nephew and twin nieces. It's my nephew's 21st birthday which makes me feel old, I still think he's about 6. 😆 I'm just going to give him some money as I'm not sure what he's really into apart from his playstation!

DH is meant to be coming back on the train today but the overhead wires are down on the West Coast Mainline (again) so he has had to book a flight. 😩 He needs to get back as I'm working tomorrow.

I have ordered some pants for DD, ever hopeful that she will use the toilet soon and some socks. Got them in the Marks sale which is good as I was looking at them full price the other day. I also got a camouflage hoodie for DS as he loves camo and hoodies, I bought a couple of sizes up and will save it for Christmas.

I was sorting through the things I have already bought for Christmas yesterday and have got the kids December boxes sorted apart from a bauble each and some chocolate. I have already got pjs and a couple of wee toys each in there.

I need to buy sweets/choc for both their stockings and another few bits for DD's stocking.

I have most things for DS apart from a tablet but have the money saved for it and hoping to get a good deal in the Black Friday sales. I don't have as much for DD as her birthday is next month, once that's by I can have a think about what she would like/needs.

I'm trying my best not to overbuy for the kids as they will get things from my mum, the outlaws, my brother and sister as well. I'm using my Christmas list app to keep track of what I have bought them and am separating into Xmas box, Stocking & Presents.

I have ordered a perfume gift set for my mum’s Christmas as asked her what she would like so I could look out for any good deals.

She told me which perfume she liked & I found the gift set reduced online as it has last year’s packaging. Also got 10% off as it was my first order with the website.

So got 100ml perfume plus body lotion & cleanser for £67 instead of £100+ which I’m pleased with. 👍🏻 Means I only need to get a couple of bits like chocolate and a sheet mask for her now.

Bought cards for my nephew & nieces and also got some small Christmas gift bags as the card factory are doing 3 for £1 on them and 3 for £1.50 on the big ones. Also stocked up on sellotape as down to my last roll.

Sold another item on v!nted so will post it on my way to work today. Have withdrawn £11 and will pay £10 off my CC with it.

0% interest runs out on the lower CC balance next March so I want to pay it down as much as I can before doing a balance transfer. Hoping to get another no fee BT but not sure I will be accepted. If not I will hopefully have a BT offer from one of my existing cards that I can use.

We should be getting our new car tomorrow so fingers crossed it actually happens.

The new car finally arrived, a few small issues, including them dropping the part exchange price for by car by £250 due to damage. 😑 But still got a decent price for it and at least they didn’t refuse to take it.

Apart from that the new car is very nice, DH is getting used to driving it as it’s an automatic and bigger than our other cars. I think I’ll wait until he’s used to it before attempting to drive it. I won’t be driving it very often but will still need to know how to.

I have applied for a fee free BT credit card to transfer my smaller cc debt over to and been accepted. So that’s one less thing to worry about as it should be paid off by the time the new card 0% ends.

Went out for lunch yesterday with my mum, brother, sister and all the kids and OH’s. It was nice to see them all and the kids had a great time although poor DD isn’t feeling very well again.
