Thanks Sarah, will check it out. DS keeps looking through the Lego booklets and asking to put different sets on his list for Santa. 😂 I keep explaining to him that he can put it on a list but it doesn’t mean he’ll get it.
Still feeling a bit grumpy today, went to bed with a headache and woke up with a headache. 😩
Didn’t get any more cleaning done yesterday so need to try and do that today.DD loved the roasted tomatoes and was so-so with the quiche. DS not keen on any of it. 🙄. DH & I enjoyed it all anyway.
Sold a bundle on v!nted after slightly ridiculous haggling - they already got a bundle discount and still wanted more than £1 off on top. I compromised in the end so that I was only missing out on 57p but still can’t understand some people. Also sold something else so have 2 parcels to drop off. Still have quite a few things to add and other things to reduce or remove to try and get some space back in my bedroom!Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Managed to clean the bathrooms yesterday, hoover the bedrooms & the stairs and cleaned my make up brushes.
Today I stripped all the beds, remade them & washed the sheets and DH has hung them out. It’s very windy so they will dry quickly.
Had a stressful morning as DS freaked out when we took him to get his feet measured to buy school shoes. He was crying and refusing to let the lady measure his feet, DD then started crying so DH took her out of the shop (the crying changed to screaming then as she wanted me 🤦🏻♀️).
DS finally got his feet measured but would only try on one pair of shoes and then refused to walk in them. 🫤 We bought them but obviously can take back if they don’t fit right.
Also picked up a click & collect order of joggers for DS and went into another shop. DD was screaming/moaning the whole time and getting looks. It was highly stressful so we headed home, we were out for barely an hour. 😂Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. My DS used to be exactly the same with shoes, total nightmare. The minute we walked into the shop he would throw himself on the ground and refuse to go in. Then when we finally got the shoes on his feet he used to walk silly in them and refuse to say whether they were comfortable. So embarrassing. Must be a boy thing 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Just caught up. My DD was hot and miss with shoes and would say they hurt before on if she didn’t like them 😂
Was reading you post about selling and wondered if the people buying were so desperate they were offering low because of the cost of living?
I’ve always had the odd chancer and I’ve noticed it a lot too and wondered whether it’s circumstances that have changed.

😂 Why are children so strange about shoes?! DS doesn't like trying anything on and just moans the whole time. I have to guess sizes with clothes as well as he just won't try them on. Need to persuade him to try his uniform on next week.
Willow, I was wondering that too, I think some people are just chancers though! I am going to reduce prices on things that have been on for a while and will add to the charity bag if they still don't sell. Might try and add a few more things today.
Took the kids to the library this morning where they proceeded to run around in circles chasing each other. 🤦♀️ I picked books for them as quickly as I could, there was no one else there for the first 10 mins anyway so no one to disturb thankfully.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. There’s always those chancers! I had one today too.DD can be very stubborn and did not like strangers at all when you get so that was a joy!
She did like the library though. You’ve just given me an idea to go over the holidays thank you! XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Willow I loved going to the library as a kid, I can still remember sitting on the itchy carpet there. 😂 The excitement when I got an “adult” library card and could take out loads of books too. I read at least 6 books a week until I was about 16. I still read every day and hope the kids enjoy it too.
Have had a tiring few days, DD has been really challenging, the 3 yo tantrums have kicked in already and it’s not her birthday for another couple of months. 😩
Went out for dinner with DH the other night & had a few drinks so also had a bit of a headache.
Yesterday my sister did the top up on my eyebrows so I can’t get them wet for a week now. I forgot how sore I found it even with the numbing gel, I’m such a wimp. 😂
Sold a few more bits & pieces on v!nted, so sent them off yesterday.
My older nieces came to stay yesterday so they made brownies with DH & chicken quesadillas for dinner with me. We played a game with them once the kids were in bed, DD was a nightmare & was screaming and needed us both until after 10pm. 😂
Our nieces are still here, will probably drop them off later, they’re playing on DH’s PS5.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
In Christmas savings DH has sold a couple of things so we have put £200 away towards a tablet for DS. Aiming for £300 then will look for a deal on Black Friday.
I have bought a few small things towards Christmas but will concentrate on birthdays now. Have loads coming up - 3 nieces and 2 nephews in the next two months plus a couple of friends’ kids and then FIL & DD in October.
