Thanks Dancing & SA, I ordered a couple of jumpers that are on sale and I've been looking at them for a while. The sale price plus delivery worked out at the price of one full price so just went for it.

Have had a fairly lazy day today, I have hung out, dried and put away 3 washings and did the big clean out of the cat litter trays. Have done a few surveys, trying to get my totals up and have cashed in points for a n*xt voucher to put towards the next size up joggers for DS.

Next month I will put the survey money back towards overpaying the 0% CC's. I think I'll start saving vouchers towards Christmas unless there is something we need straight away. I also want to save towards getting a bed and mattress for DD, she is so tall that she'll need a single bed soon rather than her toddler bed.

I think I'll give DD a break from the potty and put pants on her if she asks for them, I think she's stubborn like her big brother so pushing will get us exactly nowhere. 😂

The weather is much cooler today thankfully as I need to go out to work later. We have pretty much hidden away from the heat the last 2 days apart from hanging out washings, watering the garden and taking DS to his swimming lesson.

The swimming teacher has asked us to get DS goggles for his lessons so I have ordered some, hopefully he will tolerate wearing them. I had a survey voucher so they cost about £5 "actual" money. I bought slightly more expensive ones hoping that they will last.

I was looking at buying chairs for our dining table as we have a random assortment just now of a bench, 2 folding chairs and a computer chair!! 😂 DD is getting too big to sit in the high chair so we need proper chairs. They are so expensive though. I think we will just be heading to ikea for some more folding metal chairs, they are actually quite comfy and I don't want to spend a lot on something the kids will wreck! I actually looked last week and the folding chairs were £12 each, looked today and they are now £13! Better buy them soon before the price goes up again. 😱

I tidied the cupboard of doom in the kitchen again yesterday and it looks a bit better (for now). I have tidied all the kids hats/scarves/gloves into one drawer of a unit and took out the ones that are too small. Another drawer has DH's gloves/hats etc, one has mine and the bottom one has DD's collection of sandals! I also sorted the kids shoes and removed any that are too small, took out DS's hand me down fake crocs for DD etc. Have also put the next size up coats in there and took the older ones upstairs - I can stick them on v!nted at some point.

Have cashed in some survey money and have £40 towards the things I have bought, if I can get another £20-£40 that would be great but not sure that's achievable.

We have decided to skip our supermarket shop this week and try to use up what we have in the house. We are due our second fruit & veg box delivery tomorrow so looking forward to seeing what's in it.

The jumpers I ordered arrived yesterday and one had a pull in the sleeve. I emailed the company with photos and they asked me to return it and they will send out a replacement and refund the original postage cost. The return is free so I was pleased with that, very good customer service.

The fruit & veg box arrived today whilst I was at work. DH said they have given us extra as it was late. He sent me a photo and there are apples, bananas, tangerines, plums, peaches, melon, cherry tomatoes, courgette, cauliflower, lettuce, aubergine, onions, sweet potatoes, broccoli, carrots, chillies & garlic. Very pleased with it so far and every 2 weeks seems to suit us.

The fruit and veg box sounds brilliant. Is it from a local place?

Yes SA, the company goes to a big fruit & veg market in Glasgow every morning and then sorts out a selection into a box and delivers it. The market is on from 3am so I'm happy to pay someone else to go!

You can tell them if there are any fruits/veg you don't want in your box as well and then they deliver it weekly/every 2 weeks. They use nice sturdy cardboard boxes and take them back too.

They deliver to a different area every day, the stuff is really fresh and good quality. I also discovered we had a bag of cherries in our box when I got home. I love cherries but rarely buy them as they're quite expensive.

We only found out about it as they had people coming round the doors asking if we wanted to sign up. Luckily I answered the door as DH usually chases anyone selling away but I like to listen in case it's useful. 😂 I also had to convince him to try the local milkman and it's been brilliant and well worth the money for us, again a man had come to the door and I answered.

That’s similar to the one I’ve had. They get the stuff from wholesale market. I didn’t sign up to a subscription though just get one offs.

Beanie, this company does the same and donates excess stock to the foodbank. 👍

DH & I went to ikea yesterday and got seats for the dining table, unfortunately not the cheap ones I saw online as they were plastic rather than metal like I thought and were quite shoogly. 😒 The ones we ended up buying were £65 each 😱 DH had £100 from selling something which we can use towards the chairs but still a lot of money. 😞 I have paid £50 survey money off the spending CC towards the things I bought myself as well. Will try my best to earn a bit more towards paying off the chairs now.

Got a decent bundle of clothes for DD from v!nted in age 3-4 as she's getting so tall. I got 4 pairs of leggings, 2 pairs of joggers and 5 long sleeved tops for £9 including postage & fees. They are all in lovely condition so I'm quite pleased, I think I have most things for her now to do autumn/winter as have already bought a coat and boots. I will need to buy polo shirts and a couple of nursery jumpers but not until October. I also have some of DS's age 3-4 nursery jumpers that are still in ok condition for her to wear.

Going to my aunt's later as it's her 60th birthday party - unfortunately raining this weekend! I have a bottle of prosecco in the cupboard so will take that as a present. The kids are looking forward to seeing their cousins and eating party food. 😂

I'm exhausted after ikea yesterday and working tomorrow late shift. 😭 Only 3 more shifts before I'm on annual leave though.

Just sitting in bed with a cup of tea as DH has actually been getting up with the kids on my last few late shifts. 😱 Wonders will never cease!

DS gets up every morning at half 7 & dresses himself then wants one of us to go downstairs with him to help him with his breakfast & he puts cartoons on the tv. DD normally sleeps a bit longer but obviously still needs help to get dressed etc.

Usually it’s me that gets up with DS then I get the washing hung up/out or put away and stick the previous day’s nappies on prewash once I get DD up. So I pretty much end up just staying up whilst DH snores in bed. 🙄

DH has actually started taking a turn, still gets DD up later than is ideal but better than nothing.

We all had a nice time at my aunt’s birthday party on Saturday. The kids had great fun seeing everyone and eating party food. DS fell out with one of his cousins a few times over toys and was crying dramatically on the stairs. 😂 We left about 8pm and got the kids to bed by 9.

Work yesterday was very dull, DH had made some cauliflower cheese and I made potato wedges so I could take it to work for dinner. It also used up some of our veg from the fruit & veg box.

I ordered a long cat shaped soft toy/pillow as part of DD’s Christmas. For her birthday I think we will get her a big easel, pens & paint and some soft toys.

Will need to have a shower shortly then brush and hoover the couches. DH has hung out a washing and put the nappy prewash on so a few less things to do.

Have you tried the lego sets at wilk0s? That's what I used to get my nephew until he was old enough to look after it properly. I still sometimes buy him sets from there as wilk0 version is cheaper and does the same job.
