Hi Sarah, no I haven't but will have a look, thanks. DH has a bit of a thing about buying "proper" lego but we have agreed to only buy one "proper" set for DS for Christmas. I think some lego people would be good for his stocking.

I didn't get the couches done yesterday, in fact I feel like I hardly got anything done apart from surviving. 😂 DH & I did a rough meal plan for the week and added anything we needed to the online shopping.

I also went through DD's clothes and removed a lot of the age 2-3 leggings, dresses & long sleeved tops as she's too tall for them. It was a huge pile as she has so many clothes! It's a combination of my friend & my cousin passing on things from their girls and me buying for her as well. I'm aiming to stop buying so much because she just doesn't wear half of it.

I have left the age 2-3 shorts, t-shirts and summer dresses & pjs for now as most still fit and are being used. I added the age 3-4 leggings, pjs & long sleeved tops that I've bought to her drawers so I have a better idea of what is there.

I added half of the stuff to v!nted, hopefully it will sell. I still have the other half to add and the stuff that is already on there may need to be reduced if they still don't sell. It's taking up a corner of my bedroom now so will have to go into the charity bag otherwise.

DS enjoyed his swimming lesson but wouldn't let DH help him with his goggles, only his swimming teacher. 🤷‍♀️ 😂

Today I have hung one washing out and have the big nappy wash on, it can go out too. The kids beds need changed so the sheets will go out later. I also picked some blueberries in the garden & a mini cucumber from the greenhouse then wrestled one of my raspberry shoots back under the netting. The courgette plants are flowering but don't seem to want to produce anything!

Will attempt to at least brush the couches today and would be good to get the bathrooms cleaned. Hoping to take both kids swimming tomorrow morning as DD hasn't been for a while and she loves it. DS has a free swim pass to use as well as he's completed half of the reading challenge at the library.

  • Hi Sashy, re the Lego people I randomly saw some on Vinted yesterday so might be worth a look?

Thanks Dancing, I’ll have a look, I forgot about toys on there. I got DD some my little ponies on there last year for a great price and she loves them.

Still haven’t hoovered the couches or turned the cushions but did at least brush them yesterday. Got 3 loads of washing done, line dried & put away.

Also did some weeding and planted out violas, calendulas & marigolds grown from seed.

Made beef quesadillas for dinner last night & DS really enjoyed them, usually he won’t try anything that looks different so it was brilliant when he ate everything & asked for more. DD wasn’t fussed on them and preferred the sour cream & guacamole! Have two leftover uncooked quesadillas in the freezer for another day.

Did 20 mins of yoga last night with DH and we are both achey today. It’s been so long since either of us did any but it’s so good to stretch out. I mean DH looked like he might die at any moment (he’s not very flexible, which is why he needs to do it!) but we both felt better afterwards.

Took the kids swimming this morning and they both had a great time. DS begged for a McDs so that was lunch. DD was crying all the way home because she was hungry so I had to feed her the fries.

Cashed £10 out of PA today, will probably need to go towards the expensive chairs rather than off a debt.

Working yesterday and today so feeling tired as I never sleep well on early shifts.

DS was up coughing a lot on Thursday night and shouted on me at 4am and DD was also up crying about 2am. DH went in to see DD and she was screaming “I don’t want you I want mummy” 🤦🏻‍♀️ So that was lovely.

I have annual leave after today so hoping to get some painting done in the house and maybe take the kids on a couple of days out before DS starts school.

Have booked an appointment for DS to get his feet measured at Clark’s next week for school shoes. Cringing at the thought of how much they will cost but hopefully they will last and he doesn’t grow out of them too quickly.

I was in B00ts yesterday on my break at work and found some mini soap & glory body scrubs for 74p each so bought 4. I will use 2 for my older nieces’ birthday and 2 as part of Christmas presents.

Also found shower gel at 50p so got that for my nieces as well. Going to get them a small bag of toiletries and probably give them a bit of money for their birthday.

Took the kids to see my mum on Thursday and my aunt brought her granddaughter over. She is between my two age wise so gets on well enough with both of them.

My older nieces were there too so we have arranged for them to come up and stay next week. They like to bake & help make dinner and are good with the kids.

I thought they might not want to stay since they’re teenagers now but they seemed happy about coming over.

Thanks Beanie, I don't get to see my nieces as much as I'd like due to general life stuff plus they're getting towards the age where it's not cool to hang out at your aunt's house baking. 😂

The kids were wild at my mum's yesterday, she watched them as DH went out late morning and I was working. She looked exhausted when I picked them up, she had one of my younger nieces as well (who is nearly 6). My older nieces were also there for half the day so they did help her out.

I didn't sleep well again as DD's nappy leaked about 1am and she was having a screaming fit and I had to change her nappy & sheets. 😴

Meant to be seeing some of my friends next week but the hosting friend has now cancelled (again!) and I'm a bit annoyed with her. No alternative date offered and I'm sick of having to organise things. Also annoyed because I need to get out without the kids!

V!nted also annoying me as people are being ever more silly with offers and wanting things for nothing. I price things reasonably, offer bundle discounts and people still send silly offers. I know not to expect much but it's still annoying! I also don't sell anything that's not clean/in good condition unlike some things I've received where people haven't even bothered cleaning them. I would say 90% of the things I've bought have been clean and in good condition but there's that other 10% that puts me off. 😖

Can you tell I've woken up in a good mood. 😂 DH stayed over at his friend's house last night and no idea when he'll appear back home. I just want to sleep for a year, fed up today.

Who got up on the wrong side of the bed 🤣 Seriously though it’s these little niggles that all add up and make you feel annoyed. I hope your day improves 😊

Oh dear, have a hug. There are some days that make you wonder why you didn't stay single and stick to pets......

😂 SA I definitely woke up grumpy 🤭

Cranky I wonder that a lot atm! 🤣

I have cleaned all the floors downstairs and am now going through all the fruit & veg in the fridge to see what needs used up.

Currently have aubergine & cherry tomatoes roasting in the oven and am going to make a quiche as have eggs & pastry to use up (cheated & bought ready rolled) and also some bacon that needs used.

I chopped up the melon and gave some to the kids, rest in the fridge to use over the next couple of days. Put the last few plums & apricots into the fruit bowl so they are eaten & not forgotten about too.

I could do with hoovering the stairs plus the bedrooms and cleaning the bathrooms. Have one washing on and have put another away.

Kids have the tv on but whatever it takes to get a bit of peace today. DS is playing with his Lego at the same time & DD is playing about so they’re not completely glued to it. 🤣

I can understand wanting proper when bit older and can look after it properly but when younger and pieces go missing cheaper versions may be better. also try eb@y as we got my nephew a lego set from there for half the price.
