I forgot to mention that I made a no knead bread the other day and it was actually really nice. It was really easy to do as you could make the dough up then leave it to rise for 2 hours before either baking straight away or sticking it in the fridge for a few hours.

I left it overnight and baked the next day and was quite pleased with how it turned out. It kept well and made lovely toast so I think I'll do it again.

Yep Beanie that about sums up my outlaws. 🤣

My mum was at the hospital until 1am 😱 she got a temporary cast and went home. One of my aunts went with her and took her home as well so we didn’t have to wait up.

She’s now back at the hospital as she needs surgery, waiting for a slot. She’s probably going to be out of action for quite a few weeks, selfishly I’m worrying about childcare. 😩

DS is off nursery again today as he keeps having really runny poos (tmi I know) and still not right. Hoping he can go in tomorrow as we’re meant to be going to a primary 1 intro session at the school. I’m working early shift so will have to ask to leave early to get there in time.

My mum was meant to be watching DD so DH could go with DS, DH doesn’t want to go on his own (🤷🏻‍♀️) so I need to go too and now we’ll probably just have to take DD as well. 😂 Chaos here we come.

Have put one washing away today, hung another up and have about 3 others to go on. Stripped & remade the kids bedding, washed dishes & cleaned out the cat litter trays. Have had a shower and going to do some surveys shortly.

DH is going out tonight so I’m stuck doing dinner, bath & bed myself again. If I’m going out I generally stay and help get the kids settled before leaving, I don’t think I’ll bother any more because it’s not reciprocated. 😐

    Oh your poor mum.
No wonder that you are worried about childcare.
    It's only natural.
    Hope tomorrow goes well.
Other people will have their wee ones with them too.

Thanks Beanie, my mum has a plate and pins in her wrist now. Sounds like it was a bad break.

My aunt is collecting her from hospital this morning, will try and see her tomorrow after work. DS will want to see her too.

The school thing is out in the playground so at least the kids can run about. Hopefully the rain won’t be too heavy!!

Yesterday afternoon I wiped the bathrooms down and hoovered upstairs then used the lint brush on the couches - it collected so much cat hair. Then wiped all the kitchen worktops down as well. Got the other washings done athough the towels and bedding had to go into the TD.

We were lucky and it stayed dry for DS’s wee playground visit. He was quite unsure and worried about it. Didn’t want to join in with anything either.

He found a wee boy he knows from nursery who was there with the nursery teachers as his parents couldn’t make it and they ran about holding hands for most of the time.

There was a wee boy from a different nursery with his parents who was obviously overwhelmed and crying. 😢

DD slept in the pram for the first 10 mins but wanted out as soon as she woke up. She just ran about and joined in with everything that DS refused to. 😂 DH filled in all the forms while I kept an eye on the kids.

Next visit is in a couple of weeks, fingers crossed DS settles ok as we have to leave him in the P1 class while we go to the assembly hall for a talk. Nursery are taking the kids into the P1 classes most weeks for an hour or so to try and get them used to it.

Quite worried about DS as he likes his familiar routine and struggles with change. 😕

Feeling tired today, have caught DS’s cold so not feeling great at all. Have had a fairly relaxed day though, have done a couple of washings and got into the garden for half an hour.

I repotted my one(!) courgette seedling and have moved all seedlings except cucumber & jalapeños into the greenhouse. The sweet peas will need to be planted out in the front garden soon.

Have sown quite a few runner beans, any extra can go to family or DS’s nursery as they have a wee garden. That’s assuming any of them germinate, I’m not having much luck so far!

My brother is having a 30th birthday party tomorrow so it will be a running about day no doubt.

Forgot to mention that I ordered new sandals for myself yesterday as there was 20% off and I had a £10 voucher. I also ordered underwear & socks as they also had 20% off. I have been noticing lately that a lot of my socks are wearing through so definitely need new ones!

Pleased that I waited to buy the sandals as I knew there would be money off soon. They usually last me 2 years so well worth spending on them.
