Thanks SA, I don't know why my mum has a bee in her bonnet about it, it's not like he's not tired at that time. 😂 I was doing bedtime on my own last night as DH working so got both kids changed into pjs then let DS watch fireman Sam downstairs whilst I got DD settled. Got DS into bed at half 7 and he was fine but still lay in bed chatting away for ages before going to sleep. 🤷♀️
Still feeling wiped out from my early shifts, had a good day yesterday with surveys and cashed £12 out from prolific & £5 from vypr. Put £7 into christmas savings and will pay the £10 off one of the debts.
Got the kids beds stripped yesterday and DH hung them out along with a dark washing. It's been sunny but the wind is still really cold, good for drying washing though! Also hoovered upstairs and brushed all the cat hair off the couches, hoovered them (& underneath) then turned all the cushions round.
Today I have hung the big nappy wash out and did the big cat litter clean whilst DH cleaned the floor downstairs. Made leek and potato soup for lunch and DD thoroughly enjoyed it. 😊
Taking the kids round to see my mum after nursery today, DS will be happy as he asks to see her most days.
The outlaws will be up for their visit in a couple of weeks. 😩

If you can get your DS down at 7, I’d stick with that! I battle bedtimes with my youngest, - he’s always worried he’s missing out as he knows his older siblings are still up!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

😂 Don't tempt me Beanie, I'd quite happily run away from them. 😂
Honeysuckle, I think I'll stick with 7/half 7 depending on how tired he is and maybe 8 on a Saturday night again depending on how tired he is/how stressed out I am!
We let DS play too much mario kart during the easter holidays and had a 45 minute tantrum after the first day back at nursery with him screaming for it. So that is now being limited to weekends only. He gets so obsessive about things, I had to ban him from watching truck videos on y0utube after him having screaming fits when I put it off, no matter how long/short the time he was allowed to watch. 😱 My mum didn't believe me until she experienced it first hand. 🙄
I had a very lazy day today, hung one washing out and did minimal dish washing as was feeling so wiped out. DD was very good and just pottered about, DH gave her her lunch before going to work and I got her down for a nap.
The kids had a good time at my mum's yesterday as 1 of my aunts was there with her 3yo granddaughter and an aunt & uncle from down south popped in for a while as they are up for a cousin's wedding. My mum also fed the kids so I just had to launch them into bed when we got home. 😂
Hoping to get some cleaning done tomorrow and maybe a bit of tidying done in the greenhouse while the kids play in the garden if the weather is dry. Would be good to get a couple of washings hung out too. The kitchen needs a good scrub and I have rhubarb in the freezer that needs using up so might make a crumble.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. So far today I have hung 2 washings out and put 1 away as it’s so windy that it dried quickly. The other one should try too so that’s good. 👍🏻I got the greenhouse emptied and brushed the floor, found some lovely moss growing in parts of the frame. 😱 It was also very cobwebby. 😐 Emptied old pots of compost onto the borders and front garden and got rid of last years tomato grow bag. 😳
Cleaned what I could, organised all the pots, tools, buckets, frames, fleece, nets, growing bags and bits and bobs and threw out quite a few things. All of my hanging baskets had to be binned as they are brittle/falling to bits and the chains have rusted badly. There were a few plastic tubs that also had to be binned due to cracking as soon as I touched them.
It looks so much better now it’s tidied, hopefully I can give the floor and both inside and outside glass a good scrub in the autumn. The glass isn’t too bad tbh, DH usually gives it a spray with the pressure washer once a year.
Both kids were screeching and refusing to play in the garden. 🤷🏻♀️ I took DD in and put her down for her nap. DS continued being a grump until DH let him use the hose and help spread some lawn seed I found. We have some bald patches so hoping it will do something but it might be too old. 🤔I need to empty out the kids sand/water table to clean it and put new sand in. Will hopefully get that done tomorrow.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. It’s been really windy here too. Great drying weather.I’d love to know which grass seed the park across the road from me use as it’s always green and healthy despite the amount of people walking on it and dogs weeing on it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

SA, it would be useful to find out what the parks use as you're right, they generally have good grass. 😊
Got the big nappy wash and DD's clothes washed and dried on the line again yesterday as still sunny and windy. It's a lot duller here today, may have to resort to chucking the towels in the tumble drier. Have only had to use the TD once in the last week which is a record!
Still haven't sorted the kids water/sand table. 😬 Maybe later today.
I took DS with me to collect a v!nted parcel from the local shop, a couple of short sleeved shirts and a top for him in a bigger size as he's getting lanky and a lot of his tops are getting too short on the sleeves. Lovely things and only cost £4 including the postage. I need to add some more of the kids outgrown things to sell on actually.
Anyway, DS was very well behaved in the local shop but was a bit of a pain in Mr M's, he kept trying to take over pushing the trolley and was swerving it everywhere. 😱 He also kept arguing with me and then wanted to buy every toy he saw! He's not normally like that in shops so I was quite surprised. He kept telling me I was a naughty boy. 😂
Oh the girl in the local shop gave me a lovely compliment! She said I looked like Emilia Clarke (Daenerys in Game of Thrones) when she has her natural brown hair colour. I'm pretty sure I would be a much more knackered/less pretty looking version but I'll take it. 😂 😂
Made chicken casserole with cheese & herb dumplings for dinner yesterday and a rhubarb crumble using up the last of our garden rhubarb from last year. The kids were very impressed with the dumplings and DS really enjoyed the crumble.
Taking the kids to the dentist tomorrow after nursery, actually dreading it as DS hasn't been since he was 2 due to covid and DD has never been at all. DH won't make the appointment as he's working day shift so my mum is coming to help me and that means I can get my own check up done too.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Take the compliment 😊 When Neighbours first aired back in the 80s I was always being told I looked like Kylie by random people in the street. This was in the days of her dodgy perm but I’d be more than happy for someone to say that now 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

😂 SA, I loved Kylie at that point in time - I had her first album on cassette & I feel old saying that. 😂
The kids were both brilliant at the dentist, they took turns sitting in the chair and let the dentist look at their teeth no problem. I was really surprised but glad!I had my check up as well, no problems. My dentist loves me because I still don’t have any fillings 🤣 just been lucky I think.DS got a fluoride coating put on his teeth to help protect them. They have gone really tiny, the dentist asked if he grinds them at night but I’ve never noticed him doing that. 🤔
I had noticed them getting smaller so reduced the amount of juice he drinks in case it was that. I only give him milk or water at home, he does have juice at my mum’s or if we’re somewhere he has the choice though as he loves it.
Working 2 late shifts this week, have managed to get washings done and out on the line for DH to bring in when I’m at work. He seems to be allergic to actually putting the washing away mind you. 🙄
Changed the kids bedding today, will try to hoover upstairs tomorrow and change our bed as well.
Added more things to v!nted and have sold a couple of things. The money can be split between CC & the Christmas fund.
Still waiting on a refund for a cardigan I ordered over a month ago and never received. The company have been dire at responding and couldn’t tell me when it would be sent out! They haven’t replied to my request for a refund so have opened a payp@l case. So irritating.Ordered a couple of jumpers & a dress for myself. I might send some of it back, I don’t really need it. At the very least I should do another clear out of clothes & maybe sell the better things on v!nted.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Yesterday was fairly productive, hoovered upstairs plus the stairs, cleaned the bathrooms, changed my bedding and got the sheets hung out. Also got another washing done, hung out, dried and put away. Also did a few surveys and enjoyed sitting in the sun in the garden for an hour. Finally emptied the water out of the kids sand table thingy.
Today I hung a washing out, had to run out and get it back in again after a couple of hours as the rain started. Luckily it was mostly dry. Have also got the big nappy wash done and hung up on the heated airer.
Cleaned the kitchen worktops, sinks, hob and the outside of the fridge freezer and also de-furred the couches of cat hair and turned/swapped the cushions. Cleaned out the cat water fountain and litter trays.
Need to get organised soon as taking the kids down to my aunt's house for a couple of hours. My uncle is 60 so she is having a party, the kids will enjoy it as they will see their cousins. DS has been asking when we're going all day. 🙄 Shame it's raining today as it was lovely yesterday.
Working again tomorrow and could do without it. My mum is going to watch the kids for a couple of hours as there is a gap between me leaving for work and DH finishing work.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
