Thanks Beanie, the house was a pit after being at work for 2 days 😂 I need to get back into TOMM, which is 30 minutes a day in different rooms of the house on top of daily base jobs like washing dishes etc.

The kids had a great time at my uncle's 60th, DD was just running up to everyone and saying hello, even the people she didn't know. DS was glued to one of my aunts for a good hour and kept a very close eye on the birthday cake until he got a bit. 😂 He had great fun with his cousins and wasn't bothered that he was the only boy.

I didn't get to sit down for more than 5 mins at a time as constantly running after DD and had about 10 half sentence conversations with aunts & uncles before running off again. 😆

Got the kids home about half 6, they had a bath and went to bed and both slept great as they were so tired! I was exhausted as well mind you.

Having a wee hour to myself before work today, I dropped the kids off at my mum's and DH will pick them up later on his way home from work. Just chilling out on the couch and browsing the internet, wish I didn't have to move!

Have returned the dress I ordered but am keeping the 2 jumpers. The dress was nice but not amazing and I didn't really need it. So that will be £15 back onto my card, still waiting for the cardigan refund as well (£19).

Need to put a claim in for my last chiropractor appointment whilst I'm at work today and also need to start the photo book for my brother's 30th, I have photos to scan in so will need to do that tomorrow.

I found a fly boarding experience for my brother to do, best way to explain it is a sort of jet pack in the water. 😂 He's going to love it. 😂 The voucher arrived the other day and is valid for a year, split between us, my mum & sister it cost £30 each. DH also wants to use his 3D printer to make a model for my brother of one of his favourite superheroes, again something he will love.

Have done one washing of towels and the nappy prewash, put the dry nappies from yesterday away and made 2 coconut loaves - one for the kids and one for the big kids at work. 😛

Have you discovered the TOMM podcasts, not that many of them yet but the 30 minutes  kitchen clean one is brilliant.

No SA, I remember you mentioned them on your diary but I haven’t listened yet, I might try that this week.

Managed a good amount of housework yesterday - cleaned all the floors downstairs, did 2 washings, cleaned the kids face/hand prints off the inside of the patio doors, cleaned the inside of the fridge and gave the TOMM kitchen clean podcast a listen and did the cleaning in that too.

Made chicken enchiladas for dinner for DH & I after the kids were in bed. Had enough left over to freeze 2 portions so that will do for work when I’m next on late shift. Used up some salsa & tomatoes before they went funny and chicken from the freezer.

Went to Mr Al’s this morning and managed to spend £50 on not very much. 😱 Scary when even the budget supermarkets are starting to get expensive.

The outlaws are going home tomorrow, luckily I was working two of the three full days. 😂 They haven’t been quite as irritating as usual but still moderately annoying.

The kids have loved seeing them though so at least someone enjoyed seeing them. DH has been quite stressed out.

DS has a bad cold and has spent most of today miserable and lying on the couch. I don’t think he’ll be well enough for nursery tomorrow but will see in the morning. I have had a terrible headache all day.

The outlaws are going on about DH bringing DS down during the summer. DD & I aren’t invited! Thanks a lot! I’m not really happy about it but they all (DH included) seem to think it’s a great idea and have been talking to DS about “when” he goes down to see them.

MIL even said if his visit goes well maybe he can go down again and stay himself! Well how does that work because he’s not quite 5 so we would have to travel 300 miles to drop him off then again to pick him up and he would probably freak anyway if we tried to leave him!!

I just said oh maybe next year and am hoping she forgets about it as it’s a stupid idea, he’s too young.

Glad you discovered the TOMM podcast, it’s really motivating, she needs to do one for every room of the house 😆 Your outlaws remind me so much of mine when they were alive 😬

Yes SA a podcast for every room sounds ideal. 😄 I’m sure it will happen. ☺️

The outlaws are just on their own planet. I spoke to DH today about just him & DS visiting them in the summer and he doesn’t want to do it! He was just agreeing as didn’t want them to cause a fuss and he thought they’d asked me about it and I was ok with it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s definitely looking like they favour DS over DD but I’m not sure if it’s because of her age as they don’t like small children. Either way it’s pretty bad. 😐

Yesterday I managed to get the bed stripped and clean sheets on then DH put the dirty sheets in the wash and MIL made herself useful by hanging them out. DH hung out DS’s washing that I did overnight.

Hoping to give the bathrooms a quick wipe and maybe hoover upstairs today. I have a washing hung up on the heated airer & the big nappy wash on now. It’s meant to be raining most of the week which is a pain for getting the washing dry.

Apparently she does on the Patreon app, although you have to pay £3.60 a month. Although if you use Spotify there are some Rock the Housework playlists on there.

That’s awful how the outlaws make it obvious they prefer DS. They have two grandchildren and should love them both equally 😡

Ah thanks for that SA, I hadn't actually checked, thanks for the playlist link too. 👍

Yes I think the outlaws prefer DS as he's older and a boy. They seem to be a bit disparaging of girls in general. 😱 We will have to have a serious think about how often they see the kids if they keep it up. It's a very weird attitude but then they are weird people.

My DD is the most loving little girl and kept going to them for cuddles and they weren't really bothered. They kept saying "She has to learn" every time she cried or did something they didn't like - she's 2 and a half!!! 😖 They don't say these things in front of me though, only DH so I can't pull them up!

I have had a lazy day today, hung the nappy wash up and tidied my pantry cupboard up but that's about it. I had bought a medium glass container and a bigger one from the £ shop the other day, they cost £3 in total and used the smaller one for the mixed herbs I bought in 100g bag and the bigger one for red lentils that I'd also bought in a bigger bag.

Tomorrow I need to change the kids beds and hoover upstairs as well as put a couple of washings on.

My mum was down in London for my cousin's wedding and managed to trip on the way to  the train station on the way back and she thinks she's broken her wrist. 🤦‍♀️ So we will no doubt have to collect her from the hospital later tonight. Hoping it's not a break that requires surgery.

Have done a couple of surveys and claimed an am@zon voucher which I will use towards DS's birthday.
