So DS woke a couple of times but wasn’t sick during the night. He had some water in the morning and was sick over the couch and floor, had a lie down, got up necked juice before I could stop him and spewed it back up over the living room floor again. On his 3rd change of clothes already. 🤦🏻♀️DD woke at 5 instead of 3am so slightly better. Her nappy had leaked at the side so had to change her and the fitted sheet and mattress protector. She did go back down for a few more hours thankfully.
DH & the kids gave me a card, slippers & chocolate this morning for Mother’s Day. The kids were not amused when they weren’t allowed my chocolate - not wasting good Hotel chocolat stuff on them. 😂 Plus DS still being sick!
Just enjoying a bit of sun while DH keeps DS occupied and DD has her nap. Have hung out some washing and have more in the machine.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Sorry to hear about the 🤮 From past experience kids just throw up wherever they are, no plans on doing it in the bathroom. You have my sympathy, hopefully it will be short lived 🙏
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Thanks Beanie & SA, DS hasn’t been sick again since yesterday afternoon and managed to eat some toast before bed. In fact he was demanding toast, cheese, crackers, an apple & cake! 😂 He got toast. 😂
Have kept him off nursery today to make sure he’s fully well and he can go back tomorrow. Nursery finishes on Friday for the Easter holidays so don’t want him to miss the last week plus it’s my last week of peace!
Poor DS also got stung by a wasp yesterday! The blinking thing had somehow got down his trousers and stung him on the thigh and just above his knee. He called it a bad bee. 😂 Got the fright of my life when he was fidgeting saying oww and I said let me see, pulled down his trousers and a wasp flew out!!
Just hoping DD dodges the sickness bug, she seems ok so far. Fingers crossed 🤞
Cashed out some more survey money so paid £20 off the CC and £10 off DH’s car loan.

Spent yesterday afternoon cleaning, sanding and then painting the old rocking chair. It's now a lovely French navy colour and looks so much better. I just need to buy some new cushions for it and it will be finished. No rush on the cushions as need to find the right size and colour. I still have quite a lot of paint left over so will paint the small bookcase in the spare room to match as that's where the chair lives.
Also managed to get the towels and nappies washed and hung out on the line yesterday but minimal housework otherwise.
Today I have done DS's washing as he was running low on joggers, the nappy prewash and that's about it. Have caught up with some surveys and will maybe get some quick cleaning done later but am working early shift the next 2 days so trying to relax a bit as well.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Thanks Dancing, DS had a great time at nursery today so he's definitely a lot better, he came out covered in mud again. 😂
Thanks Beanie, I'm really pleased with the chair, it's the exact colour I was looking for. 😃
Dropped the kids off with my mum after nursery as DH & I both have early starts tomorrow and went to Mr A's for a few things. I spotted some chicken breasts reduced from £12 to £4 so bought those to put in the freezer, there were 7 in the tray. Also sorted the kids easter chocolate for about £5, just got them a medium egg and a chocolate bunny each.
Got home and sorted my overnight oats for work tomorrow and did a quick general tidy up before dinner. Hoping the kids will be ok with my mum as last week DS was crying and wanting to come home and DD was up at 3am for an hour. 😱 DD also has a bad cough like DS had before the sickness bug so fingers crossed she doesn't puke everywhere.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Have been busy catching up with the housework today. Got 2 washings done & hung out, it started to rain so brought them in, luckily they were mostly dry, stuck the stuff that was still damp on the heated airer. Have another washing in to go on the airer now.
I hoovered upstairs/plus the actual stairs and gave all the bathrooms a quick clean. Also brushed & hoovered the couches to try and get rid of the cat hair then turned and swapped all of the cushions.
Emptied the dishwasher, washed dishes and emptied all the recycling bags before doing quick cat litter cleans.
I walked down to nursery with DD in the pram so I am exhausted after that plus all the housework.

The kids were a bit of a nightmare both nights for my mum, think she was exhausted. 🤭 At least she gets to escape. 😂
I walked down with DD in the pram to collect DS yesterday and he was so grumpy and tired he was crying on the way back. He kept stopping and saying he didn’t want to walk. 😂 Of course DD chose that day to drop her blanket and I didn’t notice until we had went up the first hill. 😭 Had to go back to look for it as it’s one MIL knitted.
DS was then hanging onto the pram with all his weight which made it so hard to push up the giant hill. We were both exhausted and annoyed by the time we got home. DD was happy enough in the pram!
DS finished nursery today for the Easter holidays, only 18 days until he goes back. 😱 Poor DD won’t get peace now.
Got some dates for primary 1 induction for DS but not got the letter telling us which days DS is going yet.I’m seeing 2 of my oldest friends tonight, it has been postponed twice due to covid! So looking forward to actually seeing them this time!Been watching season 2 of Bridgerton and actually enjoyed it more than the first season. DH thinks he’s hilarious by calling it Shaggerton 🙄 must admit the first series was a bit ott with the sex scenes, not so much this series which was better.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
