Got my Mother’s Day cards ordered with a discount code and also bought a gr0upon voucher for a photo book.
Ordered a new teepee tent for DD as had survey vouchers meaning it only cost £15. I know what to get my niece but waiting to get another £10 survey voucher so it will only cost £2 “real” money.
Still looking for a reasonably priced set of pots & pans for my sister’s birthday as that’s what she wants. 🤣 Also still need to get my mum’s garden fork.
Today I de-furred the couches, hoovered them and turned all the cushions over. I made pizza rolls with puff pastry that needed using and also made a ginger loaf cake.
Got two washings done & hung out to dry.
Went to Ald! and stocked up on the things we like from there. DH is working late shift so I managed to go on my own whilst he had DD.Walked down to collect DS from nursery, I’m exhausted now. Just need to get the washings in and put away, feed the kids & cats and put the kids to bed then I can relax.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Is your brother into cooking? I’ve seen courses that might make a good experience gift. Tour of a brewery, distillery, vineyard? For sporty types a coasteering experience?paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Thanks SA, I had a shower and then relaxed once the kids were in bed. DD woke up at midnight and then at 5am, I ended up taking her into bed with me and was nearly hanging off the edge thanks to her & DH hogging all the space! Thankfully she slept through last night.
Honeysuckle thank you those are good ideas, he would probably like all of those, he's not fussy! 😂 I need to start looking properly.
Yesterday I did more washings, including the kids bedding which was all dried and put away. I washed the towels last night and half dried them in the tumble dryer then hung them outside this morning, they didn't dry all hard so that's good. At least it cuts down a bit of the td usage, I hate hard towels - my mum & MIL prefer them. 🤷♀️
I also did the big litter tray clean which was really needed and assembled DD's new teepee tent in her room, much better quality than the previous one!
Today I have hung 2 more washings out on the line, the first is mostly dry already. I cleaned the bathrooms and emptied the bathroom bins whilst DH took DS to nursery and DD pottered about. Then hoovered upstairs and got the kids' clothes ready for tomorrow and pjs ready for tonight.
I'm going over to my work friend's house later this afternoon for some dinner and drinks, there will be 4 of us and I haven't seen the others for ages. I'm taking some rhubarb & ginger gin with me as don't want to drink too much or anything too strong.
Went out to collect 2 parcels and drop one off for v!nted and when I was out I bought some tonic water, tulips and chocolates to take with me to my friend's. It's a lovely day so I can walk to hers and DH will pick me up on his way home from work tonight. My mum is watching the kids so I can go.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Thanks Beanie, I had a nice time, the food was lovely and it was nice to see my work friends. I have had a sore stomach all day though as I was drinking. 😞 I didn't even drink that much! I think my body is going off alcohol!
Have washed the cat's blankets and bedding today, they are all hanging out on the line now so hopefully will dry. Old Cat was outraged that I took all his blankets away and is in a proper huff.
DD is having a nap so I am going to lie on the couch for a bit, hopefully my stomach will feel better soon. Need to walk down to collect DS later and will try to have an early night as up at 5am tomorrow for early shift. 😭Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Glad you had a nice time. If you don’t go out much maybe your body isn’t used to the alcohol. I sometimes get a sore tummy if I eat out as restaurants often cook food in oil which irritates my stomach as I rarely use it. From experience once you’ve had kids your tolerance to alcohol lowers significantly. I only need to walk past a pub now and I’m tiddly 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Thanks SA, yes I think my body is definitely not used to drinking as much alcohol in one go as it was before kids.
Was early shift at work yesterday and today. My mum kept the kids over last night and had a bit of a nightmare with them. 😱
DS has a bad cold and is coughing constantly. He tested negative but really isn’t well, I’m stuck on the couch with him sleeping on top of me now. He won’t go and lie down for a nap but will sleep on me! Reminds me of when he was a baby, he was always a contact napper.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Poor DS was sick all over his bed at bedtime 😩 unfortunately he was also sick over 2 of his library books! I don’t think we will be able to save them, DH rinsed them as much as he could but they’re not looking good. ☹️Hoping DS sleeps through and isn’t sick again. Also hoping DD doesn’t wake up at 3am to have a tantrum which has been her usual the last few weeks. 😢 I have had a headache for 2 days and can’t get rid of it.Got 3 washings out & pretty much dried before the neighbours behind us decided to start a barbecue next to the fence and the smoke was billowing right over my washing line. 😠
Managed to sow some cucumber seeds and potted up some violas I had bought earlier in the week.
Hoping to have a peaceful, non-sick filled day tomorrow. 😐☹️Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0
