😂 SA, I’m not surprised you were mortified at the time but it’s funny now.Yesterday we got loads done in the house which was great but knackering plus necessitated the kids watching quite a lot of tv.DH dismantled the cot and we emptied the small room. I took all the wall stickers down and the walls were a mess so we decided to quickly paint the room as it’s small.DH then cleaned the carpet and built the daybed. It looks so much better now despite the dismantled cot being in there.
I need to paint my rocking chair and get new cushions for it. Not entirely sure where to look for those. 🤔Didn’t get round to building the teepee tent but will do that today after work. Also need to fix a few small things and move the doll’s house. I want to get a rug for the floor but no rush.We cleared everything out of DD’s room that shouldn’t be there so she could sleep in there last night.
She did really well for her first night in a bed. I did have to stay with her for the first half hour but then she settled and was happy chatting to herself and let me leave after that. She woke crying about midnight but she had a really bad cough so that’s what woke her. We gave her cough medicine and DH stayed with her until she settled.
We still have lots of stuff in the upstairs hallway which is making me agitated so hopefully we can find somewhere to store it or get rid of it.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Great result on DD's room.

Beanie, I have moved it into the wee room just to get some space but have a plan for most of it. Just need to make myself do it! 😳
A charity are collecting our cot this week, I also have a bag of baby blankets they can take as well if they need them. Glad that someone else will get the use of the cot. Thanks for the suggestion Beanie. 👍🏻DH went to put the teepee tent together and it was missing the plastic connectors for the poles. 🤦🏻♀️ Emailed the seller and they are sending some out which is a win as I bought it 4 months(!) ago and hadn’t checked everything was in the box. 🤦🏻♀️Got £5 from Vypr so have added that to my Christmas fund. Some v!nted money has also been paid off the CC and DH’s loan.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I’m exhausted after 3 days of 5am starts, then coming home to deal with the kids & the housework.I don’t know how full time working mums cope. Mind you I also don’t know how stay at home mums cope either. 😂 Job share is best for me for now.
DH did 3 washings yesterday and got 2 of them hung out so that was good. I brought them in and put on the heated airer for a few hours. The nappies had to go in the tumble dryer unfortunately as he did that washing last instead of first and hanging it out. 🤷🏻♀️He also went and built the bed that we swapped with my mum for her and took the correct car seat to the dump. DS went with him and was all excited. 😂
DD had a rough night on Sunday, she was coughing again and rolled herself out of the bed a few times. She then lay on the floor like a starfish wailing.
Last night she slept like an angel and didn’t wake once, obviously that meant it was DS’s turn to wake up crying instead. 🙄
DS now has the cold from DD and is very grumpy. He keeps crying over silly things, think it will be early dinner, bath & bed.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I've tried full time, part time and stay at home and I still don't know what's best 🤣 one day at a time is the best we can all do with little ones I think.
Hope you get a decent sleep tonight 🤞 usually in my house if I've had a night each of the kids getting me up DH tends to snore on the 3rd night and keep me awake 🙈🤣1 -
Bless DS being excited to go to the skip!
I remember my DS being the same.

I have been busy today with the housework so think I’ll chill out after nursery pick up.Have de-furred and hoovered the couches and turned all the cushions. Hoovered upstairs and changed all the bedding. Daily nappy prewash done, another washing done & hung up and bedsheets in the wm. Cleaned all the sinks & toilets in the bathrooms. Emptied kitchen bin and food bin then cleaned them. All recycling put into the correct bins.Unpacked some books in the new spare room and packed others away so was able to get rid of a box. Also put bedding on the daybed and spare pillows in one of the drawers.
DD’s cot was collected by the charity along with a bag of clothes, a bag of blankets and a baby pod type cushion.Moved the heated airer & 2 normal clothes horses (folded) into the wee room. Only have 3 bags of stuff to work through along with a bag of clothes for charity and a box of books. 1 bag has lots of photo frames, we need to print some photos, get them in and up on the wall, 1 has small storage boxes that belong to DH and the last one has a random mixture of stuff.I also have to find somewhere to keep my stuff for v!nted - the stuff for sale plus the packaging I’ve saved to use. I put quite a few things that hadn’t sold into the bag for the children’s charity that took the cot.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Thanks Beanie, think I’ll need an early night now. 😂
The teepee tent connectors arrived…along with a full new tent. 🤦🏻♀️ I tried putting the one we already had together but it’s really rubbish quality compared to the one DS has. I’ve messaged the seller again asking if I can send the new one back and just get a refund. I’m not hopeful, just wish I’d opened the box and looked at it properly when I first bought it!
