Well done on the sales, I'm thinking of unlisting mine and putting them back up as bundles as it's been quiet for me the last few weeks. I agree with the postage, I've also lost out on a couple of Royal Mail items postage costs which was annoying.
Sorry your work gave conflicting information on the double time, as you say it's all extra money though so at least you'll still get something.
Sounds like you're nearly there with DD's room, be a nice little milestone once she's settled in there. They're not babies for long are they? X1 -
Dancing, I did that & bundled a few things up like leggings & t-shirts, it has worked for a few things but not all. I think some are just going into the charity bag.
Mind you some of the items I sold yesterday have been up for a few months and I was just about to unlist & add them to the charity bag.
The Royal Mail postage issue is quite annoying, much prefer when people chose Hermes.Yes hopefully we’ll get DD’s room finished this weekend, we only need to move a couple of things in, build the bed, put the wall stickers up & add the baby gate to the door.
The cot will be dismantled and will have to have a think about what to do with it. It’s done 4 babies as we got it from friends. Hopefully we can pass it on to someone.
I think I’m going to feel a bit emotional when DD is in a bed in her new room. 😭Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.2 -
I forgot to mention that DD was being very dramatic yesterday evening - DH had shut the door of the spare room while he dismantled the bed and she couldn't get in so proceeded to scream "mummy mummy mummy" as though she was being murdered.
When I came to find out what was wrong she was crying and in a total state so took her downstairs with me and she was sobbing saying "I'm not happy mummy, I'm not happy". 😂 All because her daddy shut a door on her. 🤦♀️

That’s a great idea Beanie, thanks. I know there is a charity nearby that takes clothes & prams so they may well take cots too. I’ll send an email and see what they say. 👍🏻Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. I have had a looong day and am very tired. DD’s new room is in good shape but not quite ready for her to sleep in tonight.
We should be able to finish it tomorrow so hopefully she will sleep well in a bed rather than a cot as I’m working early shifts from Sunday.
Hopefully we can clean the carpet in DD’s old room & build the daybed tomorrow as well. The walls will need to be painted but that will have to wait.
The hall upstairs is full of stuff, just hope we can find places to store all of it. DH has managed to fit quite a few things into the shed at least.
The men with the van didn’t show up this morning at the time we agreed! Sent a message and they replied oh yeah sorry one of the boys phoned in sick we can do 1pm. 😐 Not impressed but needed the stuff moved so agreed.
Was feeling stressed out with the mess of the house and then DH did a tip run with a few bigger things. He was meant to take an old baby seat and instead took DS’s high back booster seat and binned it. 🤦🏻♀️😭 I don’t know how he didn’t notice it was completely the wrong seat/different size etc. So now we have to spend another £60 replacing it. 😡 Not happy.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Oh and DS told me last night that I have a beard! I said I do not have a beard and he said, you do! You’ve got spikes in your chin! Spikes are what he calls his daddy’s stubble! Thanks a lot pal! I mean I have noticed a few more (blonde!) hairs in the chin area over the last few years but didn’t realise I had a beard. 😂

Annoying about the men in the van.Keeping on top of my ‘spikes’ is almost a full time job.Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k1

😂 paws I’m starting to feel the same way with the ‘spikes’ maintenance on my chin. 🤭 So kind of DS to point it out.
Although he heard DH snoring this morning and asked what the noise was. When I said it was daddy snoring he exclaimed “but it sounds like an animal!” 😂
Lovely sunny day today although frosty overnight. Should be able to get at least one washing hung out.
We need to move DD’s mattress and soft toys (a mission in itself) into her new room plus the doll’s house that has been living downstairs. Also need to build a child sized teepee tent & finish the wall stickers.
DH is going to dismantle the cot and hopefully put the daybed together. Then we need to find places for all the stuff sitting in the hall upstairs.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Out of the mouth of babies 😆
It reminds me of a time, many years ago, out on a date with an ex, when he suddenly said to me “are you growing a beard or just acting the goat”. I was a tad puzzled by this until it transpired I had an extremely long black freak hair growing out of my chin. I was only 21 at the time and absolutely mortified. He’s not an ex for nothing 🤣🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
