Willow, being able to hang the washing out makes such a difference.

Beanie, our snow has mostly melted away now but think it will be icy overnight.😩

After collecting DS from nursery I sorted out some clothes for a charity bag that’s being picked up tomorrow.

I managed to let some clothes go and also fit some of the dresses from the spare room wardrobe into my wardrobe. Still have a few in there though plus the coats/jackets.

Sent £10 to DH to pay off his car loan. Waiting on some cashback from £co and some money from v!nted sales.

It’s the cash transfer from my CC Beanie, we used it to pay off my car loan and buy new couches as it was 0% for 18 months. We will have halved the remaining amount by the time the 0% runs out so will need to look for a new 0% deal to transfer it to at the end of the year.

DD’s blind arrived today, hoping DH will put it up on Sunday then I can hang the curtains as well.

I gave the bathrooms a quick clean this morning and stuck the previous day’s cloth nappies plus night nappy in for a pre wash.

Also brushed the couches down to try and remove cat hair then hoovered them with the upholstery tool and turned all the cushions over. Hoovered underneath the couches as well as the robot hoover can’t get right under.

Took a container out of the freezer to work with a baked potato for dinner. Thought it was chilli, turned out to be goulash so still fine with the potato.

Using up some accrued annual leave after today so won’t be back at work for a week which is nice. Hopefully will have DD’s room sorted by then.

  • I’ve also been trying to cut down on washing. There are only 2 of us so it should be easy. Also cutting down bedding to 2 weeks or more, we shower every day so you’d think it shouldn’t be too difficult. I love freshly washed bedding but am learning to appreciate the positives of sheets smoothed by a light layer of grease 😅

😂 paws, that light layer of grease makes it sound delightful.

Once DD is toilet trained my washing will be cut down by one prewash a day and 3 big washes a week - 10 less uses of the wm! One of the drawbacks of cloth nappies I suppose.

Unfortunately DD isn’t really showing any signs of wanting to toilet train yet. DS was 3 & a half before he seriously entertained it and DD isn’t even 2 & a half yet.

So far today I’ve washed some dishes, done a nappy prewash and stuck the towels in to wash.

DS & I nipped out to the shop to drop off another parcel for v!nted. Only £2 earned but better than nothing.

DS got to pick something from the shop as a treat since it’s the weekend and he chose chocolate milk and a freddo bar for himself and banana milk and a freddo for his sister. I never usually buy him anything and he is always very good at accepting it when I say no so thought he deserved it.

Hoping to make some puff pastry ham & spinach pinwheels for lunch before DH goes to work. Better get a move on.

Managed to make the pinwheels (very nice and easy to make) and also a chocolate loaf cake.

Got the towels washed, dried and put away, big nappy wash done, currently drying and have DD’s washing in now which will go on the heated airer.

Took the kids down to my mum’s for dinner as my sister, 2 of my nieces and my great nephew were going as well.

The kids had a great time but were hyper and a bit late to bed by the time I got home. They were both asleep within 10 mins of going to bed though!

I’m going to have a drink and watch Ghosts on iplayer, it’s so funny. ☺️
