Exciting when it’s time to start sowing again! I have the sweet pea seeds ready, just lacking the time in daylight hours to get them started!

I know Beanie, tbh I probably should have chased it up but I didn’t. 🤷🏻♀️HSL I’ve just been lazy! Hopefully I’ll get the seeds sown within the next week.@boxofpaws we have one of the 3 tier Lakeland dry soon heated airers. We got it from the Lakeland eb@y outlet as it was much cheaper. I think they sell returned ones on there as it said there would be minor marks etc. There was a small scratch but it wasn’t noticeable.
I like it and washing does dry quicker but it took a bit of getting used to in terms of the best way to load it. It has helped me cut down on using the tumble dryer although I still use it for towels, bedding & the cloth nappy inserts/liners/wipes.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I’ve had a fairly lazy weekend, my mum picked DS up from nursery on Friday & kept him overnight. She took him into town on the bus on Saturday and they had a wander and then lunch in a coffee shop. He loves going on these wee outings with her.
DD & I went down to collect him in the afternoon and stayed for dinner. Within 2 mins of getting home the kids were fighting & chasing each other around with plastic golf clubs repurposed as sticks to hit each other with. 🤦🏻♀️ They were dispatched swiftly to bed to give me peace. 🤣
I used a survey gift voucher towards some of the posh l’occitane Shea butter hand cream and only paid £6 “real” money towards it. Am@zon must have been price matching as there was 20% off, it’s usually £21 for the big tube and I only get it as a present.
My sister dropped off two bags of clothes from my cousin for DD. There are loads of pairs of trousers and tops, pyjamas, vests, a few dresses and jackets and some boots and sandals. DD took an instant like to a grey leopard print faux fur jacket and was walking around the house in it for ages. 😂I’m going to have to go through all her clothes again. It feels never ending as she has so many!
Gave the kitchen worktops and hob and extractor hood a clean along with the sinks. Big nappy wash done and another washing put away. Washed some dishes. Looked into the spare room at the mountain of cr*p in despair and walked out again. 😩
Got to go, kids are arguing again. 😒Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.1 -
I finally managed to get some sweet pea seeds sown this morning, along with jalapeños and lobelia.
DD was enjoying running about in the garden and digging with DS’s mini trowel. I think she’s going to want to help with the plants this year.
Woke up at 5 to 8 and DS has to be in nursery for 9 so was running about to get ready. Still managed to hang DD’s washing up before we left so did quite well in the end and we weren’t late.Did some GFWR & then Zumba on y0utube. Have put another washing on, hoping it will stay dry so I can hang it out for a bit. It’s been nice & sunny today although still cold.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Hi all, have been lurking about but too lazy to post. 😂
Took DD to get her feet measured the other day, she was the size I thought but better to get her checked. Left £38 lighter 😭 with a very cute pair of black patent shoes for her.She wasn’t happy about taking her boots off and had a bit of a tantrum in the shop. She also tried to kick the poor man measuring her feet. 🤦🏻♀️So she has 2 pairs of shoes, a pair of boots and a pair of wellies that fit now. The boots & wellies are half a size bigger so will do slightly longer.
I cleaned all her smaller shoes/boots/sandals and put them up on v!nted. Sold 3 pairs in a bundle already, only £5 made but better than nothing.
Also bought a pair of trainers for her on there, £4 including fees & postage. 🙂
I have a big bag of clothes to sort out & put on as well. Will do that over the next couple of weeks.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.1 -
DH & I went out the other night for his birthday and had a nice steak dinner. Got a good deal on 5pm and the food was lovely. Our dessert had obviously been forgotten about and was slightly burnt though! The waitress was very good and didn’t charge us for it. 😊We went for a couple of drinks afterwards then headed home. I woke up about 3am with a terrible headache and realised it’s because I had half a bottle of wine.I really can’t drink it anymore, I didn’t feel good at all the next day either. So no more wine for me, I’ll stick to beer or gin (and not too much of that either 🤣).
DH put up a curtain pole in the room we’re going to move DD into in the next few months. We have measured for a roller blind and curtains so just a case of pricing up and seeing how much they will cost.
I have already bought wall stickers (unicorns & stars) and a unicorn light shade for the room.
We also tidied up a bit in there (as it’s the room of doom) and have a better idea of what is actually in there.Managed to throw a whole binbag’s worth of stuff out and recycle another big pile of paper.
My mum is going to take the spare bed and is going to swap us for the day bed she has.The daybed will go into the small room once DD has moved into her new room. I can then paint my rocking chair & old chest of drawers and move them into the room too.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
