Boo to the car costs, it's awful when you get s run of repairs 🙁
Had to chuckle at your muddy bank incident, sounds like something that would happen to DS2 and I, not so funny when it's you though & pleased you were both okay. Hopefully DD will get there a little earlier with potty training that your DS 🤞both my boys were 3 before they seriously considered it but we got there in the end.
Sounds like you had a relaxing Saturday, hope work doesn't exhaust you too much x1 -
Thanks Dancing, just seems to be one thing after another with DH’s car right now. 😟
Yeah the muddy slope wasn’t fun at the time 😂 It was just one of those times where DD was just out of reach the whole time I was chasing her and then I just missed grabbing her before she went over and down.Yeah I’m trying not to stress about DD toilet training as it didn’t do any good with DS, he just did it when he was ready. Although even then he needed a lot of marching to the toilet as he wouldn’t go if left to his own devices. 🤦🏻♀️Work isn’t too bad so far but definitely feeling tired. 5am alarms are never fun though. 😭Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Poor DS has a slight ear infection, he had a really high temperature yesterday and still quite high this morning so DH had to keep him off nursery and take him to the doctors.
DS is fascinated with doctors so he was quite happy to go and see one. 🤣 He also got a lollipop so even better. His doctor is an older Spanish man and is so good with kids. 🙂
I didn’t get a great sleep as DS was up a few times in the night. DH got up with him most of the time though as I’m early shift.
I ordered some flower seeds today - marigolds, calendula, violas and also some jalapeño seeds. Got a free seed tin to store them in as well. Not really a necessary purchase but will be good to get back into the garden.I keep meaning to get my sweet peas started indoors. Maybe I’ll manage it this week.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Thanks Beanie, he got over it really quickly and pretty much back to normal now.
Yesterday on my break at work I spent £18 on next size up clothes for the kids in a sale. I got a t-shirt & 2 jumpers for DS and a dress, long sleeved top, leggings & gloves for DD.
My sister then said she has clothes for DD from my cousin whose DD is a year older. So I won’t buy her anything else for now. 😂
I got home from work and walked down to collect DS from nursery.
Then changed the kids sheets and put them in the wash and rearranged the washing that DH had hung up on the heated airer.I put a few more things on v!nted and then brushed the couches down in an attempt to get all the cat hair off. Then used the upholstery attachment on the hoover and also turned and swapped all the cushions around.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Today I hoovered upstairs and cleaned the sinks & toilets in the bathrooms after having a shower.
Have also put one washing away and hung another up on the heated airer but have had a lazy day apart from that.
Feeling very tired today but glad I got a couple of things done. The weather is quite horrible now, really wet and windy. Of course the wind & rain got worse around nursery pick up time so DD & I looked like we’d been dragged through a hedge. 😂
Going to try and do some yoga once the kids are in bed tonight. I need to get back into the habit of exercising every day again, have fallen out of it since having covid.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Weighed myself this morning and have put 4lbs back on. 😩
I did do 15 mins of bedtime yoga last night but it was just stretching and not very strenuous. 😂
Managed 25 mins walking with Rick this morning, just need to get back into the habit of doing it daily.
DH is annoying me and sometimes I wonder why he is such a man baby. 😒
I just want to sleep. ☹️ No matter how much I sleep it doesn’t seem to help though.Just caught DD drawing all over the side of my white dressing table with pencil. 🤦🏻♀️Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. You’ll soon drop that 4lbs, don’t despair. I don’t know if you listen to podcasts but I can highly recommend The Secret World of Slimming Clubs. It’s absolutely hilarious and takes the micky out of slimming clubs and diets. I’ve burst out laughing in the street listening to it.I ran out of Rick workouts I hadn’t done so have started Walk at Home with Lesley Sansone, also very good. I really love the Run, Walk, Lift ones as they’re a mix of things and the instructors keep changing.Men eh 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Thanks SA, I’ll give the podcast a listen when the kids are in bed, they never give me peace to listen to anything when they’re about. 😂 They can be fine and doing their own thing and as soon as I try to listen to something they decide they need xyz or feel the need to fight or talk very loudly. 🙄
I managed more Rick yesterday, I don’t mind doing the same ones again as I have no co-ordination so it gives me a chance to do the routines properly. 😆
Will have a look at the others too though. 👍🏻I got a letter out of the blue from my doctors surgery asking me to make an appointment for a fasting blood test. Apparently they now want to monitor women who had gestational diabetes with an annual blood test. I’m pretty sure I was meant to get the first one when DD was 3 months old, not 2 years and 3 months old. 🤔
Anyway, appointment made for just over a weeks’ time. Fingers crossed my blood sugars come back ok. I was borderline/ just on the cutoff for gestational diabetes so hoping I’ll be fine.
DD has a health visitor check up next week, I think it’s the first time they’ve seen her since she was a baby due to covid.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
