I bought my first Ninja just over a year ago, I now have 3 and haven’t used my oven in over a year. Once you’ve used the pressure lid the first time you’ll realise there’s nothing to be scared of 😆

Glad you had a good sleep Willow.

Thanks Bop & SA, I went and found the instructions for the pressure cooker lid and now have my pork shoulder steaks in the ninja.

I have scaled down a recipe I found online for bbq pulled pork so hoping it turns out ok. I have some tortilla wraps and sour cream so could maybe do a sort of fajita type thing with them for dinner. 🤔

We have had the ninja for a few months now but I have only really used the air crisp and grill functions on it. It’s really good and pretty easy to use although all the functions can be a bit intimidating at first!

It does save heating up the oven for one or two things. 👍🏻

I haven’t got round to making the soup but will do it tomorrow after going for my booster jag in the morning. Also need to drop off my vinted parcel.

I have emptied and cleaned the kitchen bin, done the daily light clean of the litter trays and put away one washing & another on. Gave all the bathrooms a quick sink and toilet clean as well.

Have been for my booster and dropped my vinted parcel off. DS ran into nursery today - I think he was glad to be back. 😂

Have hoovered upstairs and as much cat hair off the couches as I can and turned all the cushions, why is it such a tiring job??

Robot hoover is finishing off upstairs for me, he does a deeper clean so like him to go over after the big hoover. It’s amazing how much stuff he still picks up in a disgusting way. 😂

Going to make soup shortly, big nappy wash is on and towels are ready to go on next.

Emptied the dishwasher and just have some handwash stuff to do.

Hoping the booster won’t make me ill, DH had terrible headaches for a few days afterwards. 😟

The pork shoulder steaks turned out very well in the ninja. 👍🏻 DH & I had them shredded with wraps, rice, sour cream and spicy bbq sauce. Next time so think I’ll add some type of beans as that would be nice.

Well my lateral flow test was positive this morning, was feeling ropey and developed a cough yesterday afternoon so thought I’d better check before my chiropractor appointment this morning.

Was actually quite shocked when it came up positive. 😱 Was feeling really achey last night as well as hot and cold but thought it was side effects from my booster.

Still feeling really achey, have done a PCR so will hopefully get the results in the next couple of days but that’s me grounded until next week. 😭

DH has to self isolate as well because he is 1 day off the 14 days since his booster that would qualify him as fully vaccinated. 😩

  • Oh sorry to hear you got a positive result, it's all feeling very unavoidable at the moment isn't it?
Hope your symptoms don't get any worse, perhaps DH could get started on sorting some of his things in the 'room of doom' while he has a bit of extra time? 😉
    Take care xx

Thanks all, still feeling pretty much the same, at least I’m not feeling worse.

Dancing 🤣 if only DH would agree! He says he’s waiting for an offer on fees from eb@y before listing a load of stuff that’s currently in the room of doom. I’m pretty sure there’s other stuff to sort through but he’s not interested. 🙄 Too busy playing with his 3D printer. 🙄

DH spoke to the nursery and they said DS can continue to attend as long as he is testing negative on LFT every day and DH who is taking/picking him up is also negative. Both are for the moment which is good.

DD isn’t great so suspect she is positive which wouldn’t be surprising as she spends most time with me. Don’t want to test her though as it’s bad enough doing DS (screaming and fighting galore).

Have hung up a washing and put 2 away. Also put another washing on and moved into the TD. Apart from washing some dishes & emptying the DW that’s the extent of my housework today.

  • Your DH is so much like mine, I feel for you!

Pleased you're not getting any worse, hope DD is okay. I can understand you not wanting to do the test on her as it's such a stressful thing to do.

There's a lot of Covid cases in my boys school so I've started day lateral flow tests, DS2 screams the house down & runs away to hide every time so it's a big work out each morning, hate it! X
