Thanks all, the outlaws have always been awkward and a bit odd to say the least but the lockdowns etc seem to have made them even worse plus they are both getting older and even more set in their ways. They have fallen out with even more old friends!

DH is getting very frustrated with them, they never comment on the presents we buy them so we don't know if they like them or not! I'd rather know so we don't buy them things they don't want or won't use!

Cranky that's a good idea about the small presents, thanks. I'll maybe try this with DS next year. 👍

I really need to get some housework done today but have no motivation. I've already put 2 loads of washing away and hung one up. Have also changed the kids bedding and have got the sheets to wash.

Could do with mopping the floors downstairs, giving the bathrooms a quick wipe at the very least and de-furring the couches and turning the cushions over.

Being shouted at by DD because she wants a drink, better go. 🙄

Well now I’ve been pinged by the covid app so have to self isolate until I get a PCR test. If it’s negative and I have no symptoms I can go back out as I’ve had 2 doses of the vaccine.

The people at work who have it said the symptoms didn’t appear for about 3 days and it’s more like a cold.

So anyway my LFT was negative this morning and I have done my PCR and sent it back. Will just keep doing daily LFT’s while I wait for PCR result.

Due to self isolation I can’t go to work on Friday so have an extra day off. Hoping I don’t develop symptoms as don’t want the kids to have to get tested again! 😩

So far today I’ve done some get fit with Rick and had a shower.

Housework wise I have hung one washing up and put another away. One is sorted and waiting to go in the machine but nowhere to dry it so not putting it on yet.

Have also brushed the couches but not hoovered then it turned the cushions yet.

Gave my en-suite a quick clean after my shower but still need to do the main bathroom and downstairs toilet.

Ok so most of the cleaning did not happen, I put on my second washing then remembered I needed to do a nappy wash, the inserts & night nappies are now in the TD eating electricity. 😢

After getting DD out of the bath I noticed some wee spots on her neck and near her ear so I think she might be finally getting the chickenpox. I kind of hope so (as long as it's mild like DS's) as that means it's out of the way. I put her her in all in one pjs so she can't really scratch anywhere just in case. Also gave her a dose of antihistamine in case of itchiness.

DS being the delightful child he is took exception to something I told him to do and slammed the bathroom door in my face and locked himself in. 🤦‍♀️ Incidentally he was naked at the time as I'd just got him out of the bath. He then refused to come out for at least 5 mins and I was starting to panic wondering how I would get him out. I went and dried DD's hair, shouted through the door a bit more then gave up and he opened it. 🤷‍♀️

He then had a fit because I read DD the story he wanted me to read him - he was sitting next to us at the time! And it's actually a book I bought for DD's christmas that DS has claimed. He then insisted I read it again to him on his own in his own bed. 🤦‍♀️

Hoping to make some cherry cake tomorrow and possibly more ginger thins if I have the time and/or patience. Need to go to bed as I'm so so tired but know when I lie down I won't be able to sleep. 😭

Oh Sashy I feel your pain - my 2 are absolutely traumatized at the thought of PCR tests and I've had to utilise wrestling moves I didn't know I had to get them completed in recent weeks 🤣

Your DS sounds like my DS2, walks to the best of his own drum & defies all logic!

Hope you do get some sleep and that your PCR is negative and that DD doesn't get too poorly if she does have chicken pox, it's just one thing after another with little ones isn't it? The side of parenting no one writes about in the books🙄 xx

Dancing, getting a 4 year old to co-operate with a PCR test should be a specialist subject/sport. 😂 It’s like wrestling with a screaming octopus. 😱
    😩 One that bites. 😱

My DS is very stubborn and just refuses to do things he doesn’t want to. He also has a temper and seems to take after my side of the family where tempers flare quickly but also cool down quickly.

My LFT was negative again this morning, keeping my fingers firmly crossed and still have no symptoms.

Managed another GFWR walking workout this morning. DH was in the next room but the kids kept coming to me for a drink/fruit/trousers that were falling down (skinny DS) 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 I don’t know how many times I said “ask your daddy” whilst side stepping around them. 🤣

DD is a bit more spotty today but not too bad so far. Just keeping her dosed up on calpol and antihistamine and rubbing cooling gel on her spots every so often.

I have done no housework AGAIN, I really need to move my butt and just do it. I did my usual of one washing put away, one hung up and the night nappy on a quick wash before big wash day.

I listed a few things on Vinted, some of DS’s old Christmas jumpers as they’re ones that DD probably won’t wear or get the use of.

I need to write up shifts etc on the new calendar. I have already sorted out any shift swaps (only one for me in January) and babysitting/nursery pick ups and drops off for the month ahead.

I need to work out my survey earnings for the year. It’s motivating to see how much extra I can make from it.

Looks like I’ll end the year at 13lbs lost in weight since June. I’ve not been trying very hard he last month or so so will need to start eating better again. I definitely think the intermittent fasting does help me cut down but I need to ideally eat less carbs and sugar (my core diet 🤣).

If I could lose another 13lbs in the next 6 months that would leave me around 7lbs away from my ideal weight. I’d be happy with another 13lbs though!

Well done on the weight loss👏 It’s hard to fit everything in with young kiddies so don’t beat yourself up, the housework can wait.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Thanks SA, you're right, some days I can get more done than others and sometimes I just don't have the energy.

I managed to write up my shifts on the new calendar for January and February plus any days that nursery will be closed. Oh and what bins go out every week because I can never remember.

I also gave the stairs a quick hoover and the bathrooms got a quick wipe. Tomorrow I need to make red cabbage for NYD and the cherry cake that I didn't make today. DS might "help" with the cake. 😂 He usually gets bored after stirring for 2 mins.

    I have added up my survey totals for 2021, I included receipt apps and cashback received as well;

    Cash £717
    Vouchers £700

I'll need to compare with last year to see if it's more or less.
