Your tree looks lovely and I hope that you start to feel better soon 😊0

Thanks Willow & Cranky.
Have had some breakfast and drinking some tea, my head is still really sore. Will dose up on cold & flu tablets soon and hopefully I’ll feel better soon.
Need to do the big cat litter clean and give all the bathrooms a wipe then brush down the couches.
Basically all the stuff I didn’t do yesterday!
DS & DD are already squabbling, mostly over a ladybird on wheels that they can sit on and scoot along. It’s actually DD’s but she’s only recently realised what to do with it so DS is used to having it to himself. 🤦🏻♀️DS also keeps luring DD into a room then shutting her in there. This has now progressed to DD learning how to open doors! Help!Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Well I still have the cold! But the kids finally seem to be getting over it and are sleeping better thankfully.
Today I finished all of my Christmas wrapping. 💃 🎉 I just need to get DH to help me build the kids' scooters next week. This is the most organised I've been, feeling like we might be able to have a chilled Christmas although we are both working throughout.
The family party was nice on Saturday despite me feeling rotten with the cold. It was good to see everyone, hadn't seen my brother for months as he is always working. His gf was fine and seemed happy to be there but all of a sudden decided she needed to leave after an hour. 🤷♀️ She ended up taking the car and leaving my brother and the my 2 nieces at our house. 🤷♀️
Everyone left around 6ish so we had a relaxed night as I had to get up for work at 5am on Sunday. Not back at work until 22nd December now though which is good.
Planning on trying to bake some ginger thins tomorrow. Also need to remember to try and get the kids to make salt dough with me at the weekend so we can do their handprints to keep.
Housework wise today was put a washing away, hang a washing up, do the quick wash of the nappies at the end of the day and then put another washing on a timer to be ready in the morning.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Well today has been a disaster, was woken up by DS about half 6 saying he had a sore tummy, he then spewed all over my bed so DH & I had to get up and strip it, our duvet was wet so had to be cleaned as well.
DS was then sick again over his bedroom floor, closely followed by DD saying "sore tummy" and spewing on her bedroom floor 😭
Both kids seemed fine all day apart from being grumpy then DD was sick all over her cot after her afternoon nap. It was in her hair and all down her so she had to go straight into the shower.
I then noticed red spots on DS's neck and discovered they are also on his back and stomach. His nursery teacher had mentioned that chickenpox was going about so it looks likely that he has it. So no nursery until at least next week now. 😢 He kept asking to go today.
The washing machine and tumble dryer have been on constantly today due to all the sick. 😭Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.1 -

Thanks Beanie, just seems to be constant sickness with the kids recently. I can’t remember the last time we all had a decent sleep.
DS has been surprisingly cheerful most of the time but is itching in his sleep. He also screeches like a banshee every time we put cooling gel on to help with the itchiness.
DD was sick again yesterday just after her lunch but hasn’t spewed since. She definitely isn’t right though so I think the spots will start showing up on her in the next day or two.Yesterday was a write off, I managed to do some washings and dishes and was about it. Was very grateful for the robot hoover doing his thing downstairs whilst I got the kids into bed.
Today I managed a couple of washings, hoovered both the stairs and upstairs in the house, cleaned the bathrooms and gave the kitchen a quick wipe down.
Also did a quick cat litter clean, washed the dishes several times and cleaned out the cat water fountain.
On top of keeping the kids alive and stopping them from annoying each other too much. DD hates it when DS is at home when he should be at nursery, she likes the chill time without him. 🤣
I made ginger thins with DS (he stirred the dough mixture twice 😂). He then told me what a clever boy he was for making biscuits. 😂 They’re not too bad but will probably adjust the recipe a bit next time I make it.
I need to put the marzipan on the mini Christmas cakes, will try and do that tomorrow night as I want to ice them on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Oh and I have decided to wait until January before getting my booster for the vaccine as I can’t chance being ill with any side effects right now.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
