Hopefully it gets sorted. Nightmare about nursery though. I bet he didn’t cough again after that as well! It’s like they know!September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x1 -
Thanks Willow, DS had been moaning again about not wanting to go to nursery! Now he can’t go he wants to! 🤦🏻♀️Today I have put a washing away, hung one up, stripped all the beds and put half of the bedding into the wash.
It’s a horrible wet and windy day outside. Joiner was just moving into the living room last time I was downstairs so at least he’s getting there.DH & I emptied out a big cabinet in the living room the other afternoon as we needed to move it.We halved the amount of glasses in there (we had enough to run a small bar) and have managed to give them all away, mostly to my brother & his gf and my mum. So they are wrapped up & sitting in the spare room ready to be dropped off.Glad that we could rehome them as nothing wrong with the glasses, we just didn’t need 6 martini glasses etc 😂
DH also had some cigars and smoking paraphernalia in there which he binned. He went through a phase of smoking cigars about 10 years ago but hasn’t touched them since we moved into this house 7 years ago.
I might attempt some Christmas wrapping later. Depends on the kids though. The kids still aren’t great with this cold, poor DD looks like she hasn’t slept in weeks. I put her down early for her nap today, hopefully the sleep will do her good.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I decluttered the glass cupboard about 3 weeks ago (part of my sort your life out mission). Got rid of a load we don’t use.On Monday I found a box full of random beer glasses that his cousin has given Mr P. They don’t fit in the space I created. They say nature abhors a vacuum…Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k1

Oh dear Paws, hope you can shuffle some of the random beer glasses out of the house!
DS was back at nursery today and got up in the morning no problem and was really well behaved for me. 🎉
I managed to give the kitchen a good clean and have done 2 lots of washing.
Also managed to wrap all of the relatives presents and start writing some Christmas cards.I’ll wrap the kids & DH’s presents next week and then I’ll be done with that.
New flooring is all done apart from the last half of the front hall which will be finished after the new front door goes in on Monday. 💃🏻The floor looks lovely but all the furniture is sliding about. 😂 We need to order some floor protectors to stop the couches & furniture sliding.
The kids still(!) have the cold and I am really suffering with it too. 😞 My voice is coming and going and I just want to sleep. Cold & flu tablets are keeping me going for now.
Hoping to get the Christmas tree up tonight so that I can do some baking tomorrow.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.1 -
You’re always so busy. I remember being in awe of all the things you used to do when you were pregnant with your first one. You’d do a full days work, clean the house and then walk your heavily pregnant self on the treadmill for miles. I don’t know what you do but I got the impression it involved shift work and being on your feet a lot. You’re still the same! Even with two wee ones!Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k1

Thanks Paws, to be honest I feel like I don’t do much most days. I think I just have bursts of energy and get a lot done one day then not so much the next!
I work in the railway so a lot of shift work but on job share since having DS so work 2 days a week and a Sunday roughly every 3 weeks.
I got my new Christmas tree up last night & it’s very pretty. 😍 It’s a bit wider than I thought it would be but we have managed to move things around so it still fits.
The kids were delighted with it this morning although DS was more impressed with the Christmas truck! 🤣 It’s a wee advent truck but it’s too small to fit anything in really so we just use it for decoration.Just having a cup of tea and then will get DH to help me put up the foil garlands round the room. I love foil garlands they remind me of my 80s/90s childhood Christmases. 🤣
Hoping to get a cherry loaf cake made, chocolate orange rocky road and maybe ginger thins if I have time.
Also need to clean bathrooms, de fluff the couches of cat hair and do the big litter tray clean.

Your tree is beautiful. Love the talk of foil garlands, remember them well from the 80s 😆 I remember my mum putting up paper garlands she used to call trimmings, that would’ve been 70s.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Thanks Beanie & SA, I’m really pleased with my new tree, glad I bought it now. 😊
SA the foil garlands are up! One got very tangled and had to be binned but the rest are looking good, they are silver & gold alternating ones. 😂
Made cherry cake yesterday but it’s a bit dry, next time I make it I’ll add a splash of milk. I felt like the mix was a bit too thick when I put it in the loaf tin. It’s still edible with a cup of tea but will tweak the recipe until I’m happy.
Chocolate orange rocky road also made, it was fairly easy as all in the microwave. Only pain was chopping the chocolate.
Downstairs got a good tidy as we have family dropping in today for a Christmas get together.DH put rubber floor protectors down to stop the furniture sliding everywhere and they’re pretty good.Put stuff back into our big cabinet that had been emptied so we could move it for the new flooring.
Managed to cut down the contents and have fit two baskets in it that used to sit on top due to lack of space. 😀
Kids had an early night and slept well until 6am when DD came in with us for half an hour then back to her own bed.
I have had a rubbish sleep due to my horrible cold and terrible sinus headache. 😭Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.1
