Hi Beanie & SA, yes my friend has been so generous and given me loads of clothes for DD since she was born. Some of it has still had tags on it as she's also been given so many things for her DD. She also gave me a pair of winter boots that are practically brand new, she was given them by a friend but they didn't fit her DD.
I managed to do some yoga last night, nothing strenuous but good stretch which helped me feel a bit better. It's sunny but cold again today so I should be able to walk into town later to meet my work friends.
Cashed another £25 out on OP but will probably be next month before that comes through. I have almost £90 of survey money put aside in case there are any really good deals on robot hoovers on black friday. DH of course wants the top of the range £500 ones!! I don't want to spend that much but if there was a really good deal taking it near half price it would be worth considering.
After Christmas I need to start putting all the survey money back towards debts and stop silly spending. I actually need to double check what I've got for the kids as I don't want to buy too much, they have enough stuff. I need to go through all their toys and see what is actually played with/what can be rotated better and what can be given away and/or sold.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Back again - I did manage to walk into town last week and had a nice late lunch out with my friends. I didn’t actually drink much and was home by 10pm. 😇
I went through the kids toys and managed to put some in a charity bag and give others to my sister for her grandson. I also went through the kids books and weeded out the ones that are too young for them now or have been wrecked.
I managed to clear a corner of my living room that had a big bag of toys sitting there so I’m pleased with that.
Have sold another couple of items of the kids clothes and anything that had been on Vinted too long has been put into the charity bag. There’s a collection tomorrow so that will be another big bag out.
I have quite a few things to add to Vinted so will try and do that over the next few days.I have managed to get about 75% of my Christmas shopping done. I’m on track to get it finished by the end of the month, hoping the kids’ camera I’m looking at for DS will have money off on Black Friday.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Continuing my update, I have decided to do a 1st of December box instead of a Christmas Eve one for the kids.I have pjs and Christmas bedding, sparkly drinking tumblers, Christmas socks, chocolate, a tree decoration and a wee toy each for the boxes.
I got the kids’ names laser cut from wood (Etsy) and will paint them then stick to the wooden Christmas boxes I got from home bargains.I thought it would be nice to do something similar with the boxes every year.Still planning on taking DS to pick his own Christmas bauble this year too.Bad news is I have put 1lb back on as let the exercise slip and was snacking again. So back to exercise yesterday and cutting down on eating rubbish again.
My car is due its service & MOT at the start of December. Hopefully there won’t be any unexpected issues with it.Feeling really tired & rubbish as the kids keep catching bugs and not really getting over one before getting the next. They’re taking turns to have terrible nights and I don’t think I’ve had a decent nights sleep for at least a week. 😭Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Beanie I saw it on another discussion thread and thought it sounded better than a Christmas Eve box as they can use the stuff for the whole month.I’ll need to bring all their Christmas books downstairs as well, they love looking through them.
DS keeps asking if Santa is coming tomorrow. 🤔😂
Had a slightly better sleep last night, got home from work about 11:45, was in bed by 20 past midnight and then up at 1am because DS had somehow done a poo and got it all over his bed and himself. 🤮
He had his flu vaccination yesterday, not sure if the (very unwell looking) poo explosion was related to that.DH said DS was chatting to everyone at the flu clinic asking if they were feeling ok, then was asking the nurse loads of questions. 😂 He is obsessed with Drs, hospitals & ambulances just now. 🤷🏻♀️
Got back to bed at 1:30am after stripping DS and his bed then putting a washing on and didn’t wake up until 8am so then had to run about getting the kids organised to take DS to nursery. We made it just in time!

I like the idea of the 1st December boxes too. They can get more use of the contents that way. Hope DS is feeling better today. Boo to explosive 💩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Thanks SA & Beanie, we have been struggling on, poor DS had a high temperature again at the start of the week for 2 days so was off nursery again. He's back now and was very happy to go in.
Still haven't been getting great sleep although the kids have slept a lot better the last 2 nights. I go to bed early but then can't sleep. 😭
I took DD to playgroup for the first time today, she enjoyed running about with the other kids and petting babies on the head 😂 (she loooooves babies) but after an hour decided she'd had enough and kept heading for the door shouting"home!" DS was very similar, he would like it for a while then go and get his jacket and bag and stand at the door. 😂
I have been trying to keep up with the housework and TOMM but failing quite spectacularly. I just need to get my motivation back, it was working and the house was looking much better.
I really want to get the small hallway repainted before we get our new flooring as there is crayon on the walls and the paint is rubbing off due to being rubbish. We haven't repainted since moving into the house as a new build 7 years ago. 👀
I roasted 2 pumpkins I had leftover from Halloween so have the pumpkin flesh sitting in the fridge now. I think I'll try to use some in a cake and the rest into soup but have to actually make myself do it.
I have listed and sold more of the kids old clothes and donated the books that were too young for them so have at least managed a bit more decluttering.

I think the whole of December box is so much better. I hadn’t thought of it but think I will going forward. It can have pjs in it and the advent calendar too. Thanks for this idea!September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x2 -
Spiced pumpkin stew is lovely with red kidney beans and dumplings made from natural yoghurt and SR flour - if you’re looking for ideas.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
