Thanks all, I was actually expecting to have put a bit of weight back on when I weighed myself the other day and was really surprised I’d lost more weight.

I’m trying my best to do some exercise every day, cut my portion sizes & not to snack.

The other thing I’ve been trying is intermittent fasting, so leaving at least 12 hours between my dinner and breakfast.

Something seems to be working although I do need to eat less sugar and carbs but that is a work in progress as I love both.

I recently rediscovered plain bread after not eating it for years and it’s so good. DH (who is English) insists on calling it Scottie bread 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣. I keep telling him it’s just called plain bread but he won’t accept it. 😂

Oh forgot to mention that I finally gave up waiting for DH to repair or replace a couple of broken cupboard locks (the safety ones that stop the kids opening cupboards you don’t want them to) & just did it myself the other day.

So that’s the cupboards under the kitchen sink fully secured again (one door had a broken catch) and the cupboard lock in the utility room also replaced (another broken catch). I also removed a further broken lock from a cupboard that doesn’t really need it anymore.

It only took 10 minutes, I don’t know why I didn’t do it earlier. DH just kept saying he’d do it and never got round to it.

This was all prompted by my moving the contents of cupboards around to try and make them more organised.

It’s still a work in progress as one cupboard is a mess and the other has a weird mix of stuff. I want to move my dishwasher tablets/rinse aid/cleaner but can’t think where to put it.

I’m happy with where the tea towels/bin bags/reusable sandwich bags etc all are now and where the baking trays and pots are although they still need organising properly inside the cupboards.

Hi Sashybo... I remember you have spices on a rack.  Is there a deeper one you can get for a base cupboard for DW gear storage?

😂 Beanie, it's so good, I go through phases of buying it - I saw one of the men at work making toast with plain bread and had to go and buy it! He told me he never eats "pan bread" not a description you hear much any more.

Hi Jan, thanks for the suggestion, I really need to look at some proper cupboard storage ideas. I wonder if I could swap some things out of the pantry cupboard and move the dishwasher stuff in there as a temporary measure. 🤔

I just need to have a think and be in the mood for a bit of storage research/online browsing.

It's a lovely sunny day here, I have one washing out on the line and another nearly finished in the machine so will get that out too. I still have to stick the nappy wash on but that will likely end up on the heated airer overnight.

DH is oiling the wooden garden furniture whilst it's dry outside and DS is having a run about. DD is napping so I actually have a bit of peace (it won't last), she was up several times last night and told me her tummy was sore. She had a yucky nappy after breakfast so she might have a bug.

I should really be doing some cleaning as the house is a bit of a pit after me being at work the last two days but I just need a rest for now. I've already hoovered downstairs, cleaned all the toilets & bathroom sinks, got the towels into the tumble dryer, out and put away and put another two washings on.

SA, I used FitOn this morning for my warm up before some speed walking with Rick. 😂 Thanks for the recommendation. 👍 The kids were running around me in circles whilst I was doing it, DS being off nursery is hard going as he winds DD up and they're both hyper. 🤦‍♀️

Trying not to spend anything until the CC bills are generated in the next few days. It's payday today so we can pretend to be rich for a couple of days until all the bills need paid. 😢 I have spent more than I should this month 😞 although some of it was towards Christmas which I have money saved for.

It looks like my grade is going on strike next month as the company has been messing about for 6 months refusing to give us a pay rise despite working all through lockdown and saying we should be grateful just to have a job. They have finally made an offer but it's awful and will eventually cause staffing cuts as part of the conditions so looks like a strike is on. I'll lose 4 days pay during the proposed strike dates which is not great as it's about half of my wage. 😢

Not good news re the strike.
Will the union give you any strike pay?
Take it you can't take AL?

Glad you liked FitOn, I think it’s brilliant.

What a pain with the strike and losing pay. It annoys me when workplaces say you should be grateful to have a job. No they should be grateful they’ve got good employees- especially at the moment 😡
