Thanks Willow, Beanie & SA. Honestly sometimes I think DH is going through a male menopause. ๐Ÿคฃ He is tired from work though so I try to give him a bit of slack, shift work is horrendous at times. He did come and say sorry so thatโ€™s something I suppose.

I had quite a lazy day yesterday apart from the usual tidying and washing. I did do half an hour of yoga after the kids went to bed but picked a routine that was too advanced so couldnโ€™t do half the poses. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Still it gave me a good stretch and Iโ€™m feeling achey today.

I reorganised the tea/coffee cupboard as there was too much in there & DH kept balancing packets on top of each other so it was all falling out every time the door was opened. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ Instead of tidying it he would just get annoyed and throw it all back in. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Today I did some speed walking with Rick on Y0utube which the kids kept trying to join in with. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Then hung out a washing, put another one on, hoovered and then cleaned out the litter trays.ย

DS helped me to put the clean cat litter into the litter trays after I washed them out. He loves to be helpful and when I said I was going to have a cup of tea he went and got a mug and the milk out of the fridge. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Managed to get my second washing hung out as well and the nappy wash in the machine.

I thought I was organised for DS going back to nursery but realised he only has 4 pairs of joggers which are long enough for his big lanky legs.

He also needs bigger socks and more boxer shorts as the ones I bought recently are a bit baggy on his skinny waist. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ Sometimes he refuses to wear them as he says theyโ€™re too big. He also needs velcro trainers in a size up as the nursery like them to have trainers they can put on themselves.

I also had to order more name stickers for his nursery clothes. Iโ€™m waiting until next week when the monthly spending CC resets before I order the new clothes he needs.

Thatโ€™s lovely he got you the milk. DD has got me a coffee in bed before now from
The machine so not boiling but I had to thank her and then ask her not to because of burning herself. I think most of it was on the carpet on the way up to be honest ๐Ÿ˜‚ย

๐Ÿคฃ at your DD Willow, itโ€™s nice that she tried though.ย

DS loves to be helpful but is getting quite bossy and likes to tell me what to do a lot! He also likes to tell me to โ€œCalm down mummy!โ€ and his new tactic is trying to put his hand over my mouth to stop me talking! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ He really is getting a bit too cheeky. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yeah I used to get the hand over mouth too. I felt awful saying to her I needed to supervise as she was desperate to do something nice.ย

Hi all, I've had a busy week getting DS to & from nursery, he is loving the full days. He was great on his first day back and was so excited he was asking to go as soon as he got up in the morning. He told me he loves nursery while we were waiting at the gate. ๐Ÿ˜Šย

He was getting tired towards the end of the week so needed a bit more persuasion to get out of bed. ๐Ÿ˜‚ He walked in the gate on Thursday morning with a grouchy wee face.

He's getting good practice eating in the school cafeteria as he's getting his lunch there every day and has a choice of 3 mains plus soup as a starter. There's been a bit of a mix up with the parent pay app and they are currently charging us for his food but when we queried it they said that was wrong and lunches are free until he's 8 (I think). So the school office are sorting it out, the app is quite good as it shows his choices for his lunch so we know what he's eating as he doesn't always tell us. I asked him yesterday and he was adamant he had chicken and potatoes but the app shows fish and chips. ๐Ÿ˜‚ย

DD is desperate to go to nursery as well and keeps trying to follow DS in, unfortunately she doesn't get her free hours for another year though. She has been enjoying the days at home without DS taking all the toys she plays with off her mind you. I'm hoping my mum will watch her one day a week when DS is at nursery so I can have a break when I'm not at work.ย

I was working Wednesday & Thursday late shift this week so DH picked DS up from nursery. I've just found the nursery jumpers from those days in his washing basket ๐Ÿ˜ฑ one is covered in playdo and the other has tomato soup stains all down it plus the general dirt all over them. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ I've sprayed them with elbow grease then soaked them before washing but who knows if it will all come off.

Thanks Beanie, I thought it was something like that.

An update on the nursery jumpers - turns out the playdo covered one isnโ€™t even DSโ€™s! I have put his name on all of his jumpers & this one doesnโ€™t have any name at all.

Itโ€™s also a smaller size so of course DS has left one of his brand new jumpers in the bigger size at nursery somewhere. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ I just hope they havenโ€™t given it to another child to take home and Iโ€™ll never see it again. It cost me ยฃ12!

  • Oh no! Hope someone spots the label so it gets returned, you've just reminded me I need to get the boys new school things labelled up before they go back on the 2nd. Although I currently have no jumpers at all for DS1, I ordered them from the school supplier early July but just had an email to say they won't be delivered until at least the 10th!
