Thanks Beanie, yes poor DS keeps asking about his wee friends from nursery and DH was feeling bad and saying maybe we should have asked his best friend's parents for contact details so they could play in the park together or something. We do know what street they live on so could maybe just walk up and down until we see them. 😂
Both DH & I are on annual leave in the next few weeks so we're going to take the kids on some day trips to the coast and to some petting zoo/rescue type farms. Both of them absolutely love anything to do with animals or running wild so think they'll enjoy that.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Before I got my Fitbit, a few years ago, I used a pedometer and kept it in my sock. One day at work it managed to work itself to the top of my sock, popped out and shot across the floor right under a filing cabinet. Cue me lying on the floor trying to fish it out with an 18 inch ruler I managed to find in said cabinet. Attracted quite a few comments 😆🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Hi Velvet & eve, things are a bit stressful here due to us all being at home together plus DH was signed off work for a couple of weeks before his annual leave with a bad back again.

Hi all, trying to do a catch up post now. I really need to keep posting more regularly as it helps me to behave and not spend. 😳
In good news I have been keeping up with the exercise and am aiming for at least 30 mins every morning. Thanks for the Get Fit with Rick recommendation SA, I've been doing his walking videos and enjoying them although it has reminded me how unco-ordinated I am! The kids also enjoy dancing along to his music choices. 😂
I haven't actually lost any more weight but I know I haven't been as good with food as I should be. It's actually easier when I go to work as I plan out what I'm eating and take it with me and the opportunity to snack is vastly reduced.
This hot weather is killing me, I'm Scottish and have around 80% Irish ancestry, I'm not built for heat. 😭 The kids have been struggling to sleep at night with the heat and I don't think I've had a decent sleep for about a week now. One night DD was waking constantly then was sick all over her cot at 4am and the following night DS had a dodgy stomach and a poo incident in bed at 1am. 🤦♀️ So I was rinsing poo off in the bath at 1:30am and wondering why I decided to have children. 😂
DH has redone my cupboard in the kitchen and it's now a proper pantry with 4 built in shelves and a spice rack on the wall. It's still a work in progress, I also have a rack with adjustable baskets to attach to the back of the door. But it's made such an improvement and there is much more space in it now. 🎉 I will try and post a photo at some point.
In money news we have been far too spendy so have to reign ourselves in again. 👀 I sold all of the cloth nappy stuff I put up on Vinted apart from one nappy, I have left it up in the hopes it will sell eventually. Made around £40 so I'm happy with that, I've split it between the big 0% CC and the Christmas savings which are now around £210.
I had a lovely dinner out with my friends last week and then we sat in one of their gardens and had a good chat for an hour and a half. It was nice to have a bit of peace and not have anyone making demands of me for a while!Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Good to hear from you. I’m glad you like Rick’s walking workouts. He seems like a nice bloke and quite easy on the eye too 😉 It makes me laugh when that little box appears in the corner with the next step, I don’t know why, it just amuses me 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

How’s the exercise still going?
it’s hard not to spend money in the holidays especially with children! It’s always easier when they’re in school to keep a reign on money.
Hope DH’s back is improving.XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Hi all, thanks for stopping by.Yes SA, Rick seems pretty down to earth and laughs at himself a lot. DS keeps asking if we can put the man on to do exercises then dances about to the music. He also likes the fast run on the spot at the end. 🤣
Beanie I’m glad someone was getting benefit from the heat, I’m just now built for it! I did enjoy not having to worry about what to wear/chances of rain & also being able to hang lots of washing out to dry every day. It rained early this morning but has been dry since and is still warm but a lot more manageable.
Willow I’m still managing to exercise most mornings which I’m pleased about. I have been doing some short cardio time videos & walking ones. I can’t do much yoga as the kids just climb on me & it’s really not relaxing so I try to do it a couple of evenings a week when they’re in bed. Hopefully I’ll keep it up once I’m back at work.
DH’s back is much better although he’s still having to be careful. I’m trying to get him to do a bit of yoga and can see how stiff he is in his hips so stretching that area out would really help as well.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
