Hi all, thanks for dropping in. I've been rubbish at updating again, the kids finally seem better but my mum is still pretty unwell. 😞
Dancing the eyebrow tattooing looks good but it took a long time because I have/had pretty thick eyebrows! My sister was plucking for ages 😂 it was a learning experience for her anyway. I found the numbing cream wore off quite quickly on me though so the actual tattooing was a bit uncomfortable. I was told to not to get my eyebrows wet for a week so my hair is a total mess as I couldn't wash it - I can wash it tomorrow and can't wait. I might even cheat and just do it tonight. 🤔
I've got my first Covid vaccine jag tomorrow afternoon, my appointment was next week but I got a cancellation to get it sooner. DH got his last week and had no side effects apart from a sore arm.
My DS is 4 today so I'm feeling a bit emotional, DH told him it was his birthday this morning and DS very politely said "No thank you". 😂 He loved seeing his teepee and birthday decorations up when he came downstairs this morning. ☺️ His favourite present so far is the wee wooden garage, he was playing with it for ages. DD has already scribbled over the cream teepee canvas with red crayon 🤦♀️ so I'll need to look at how to remove it. 😩
DS thinks he's hilarious because he keeps calling his teepee tent a peepee tent - the toilet humour is well and truly developed with him now. 🤦♀️ 😂
DD has been a devil recently - she has drawn on several walls with crayon and on the tv unit (thankfully not the tv 😱) and is having mega tantrums when she doesn't get her own way. She also quite enjoys banging her head off things to punish me for saying no. 😔
The outlaws will be up for their visit in a few days so I have to try and tidy the house a bit but probably won't get much more than the basics done. I also currently have a teepee tent in my living room along with the toy kitchen, ball pit, shopping trolley, doll's pram and 10 boxes (!!!) of toys. 😱 To be fair there isn't much in the way of toys anywhere else in the house but I do need to move some of them.

Thanks all, DS had a lovely day and really enjoyed his presents and cake. I took him to see my mum after nursery and he also saw some of his big cousins there too. He was delighted because 2 out of 3 of them were play fighting with him. 😂 The other big cousin is now disgusted by small children (she's nearly 13) and doesn't want much to do with them. 😂 The funny thing is that she is a twin and her twin still loves playing with her wee cousins, they are so different. Their big brother will be 15 in a couple of months and has always been great with kids, they all love him. I told him he should be a manny or a children's nurse.
SA, that's DS's new tactic - anything he doesn't want to do or isn't sure of and he says No Thank you. 🤷♀️ 😂 At least he's polite! Mind you he also has a new line which is "Shut up Jeffrey" in a funny voice. He picked it up from a tv programme with talking animals - Jeffrey is one of the gorillas and the alpha male always tells him to shut up. 🤦♀️ I have told DS it's not a nice thing to say and he can only say it to his daddy. 👀 😂 DH started it though because he keeps saying the line to DS. 🤦♀️
DD is indeed a madam - she looks like she's been dragged through a hedge backwards as well because she won't let me do anything with her hair. As soon as I start brushing it and trying to tie it up she starts throwing herself backwards into me to body slam me! 😱 I can occasionally get a hairband in but that's about it. Her hair is just starting to get long so it's quite messy and needs to be kept out of her face but she's not having it.
Dancing, is it a second child thing?! I don't remember DS being so bolshy! 😂 I'm sure I will need to vent, dreading this visit. 😞 We have lots to do in the garden so that might keep them busy as they like to "help".

I had my first Covid vaccine today, I now have a sore arm but no other side effects yet, hoping I won't get any as have too much to do and the outlaws descending imminently. 😩
I managed to do the big clean of the litter trays and hoover the whole house today. I also tidied & cleaned the boot tray in the utility room (that sounds much posher than it actually is - it's a plastic tray to stand you wellies/crocs etc on and our utility room is the size of a small cupboard 😂).
I've managed to get quite a few washings done over the last few days as it's been dry and sunny so much easier to get everything dried. I even washed the cat blankets and bedding - the first wash was still covered in hair after it finished (yuck) and then I remembered I still had a sachet of the Vamoosh pet hair dissolver stuff so stuck it in and put the washing back on. It did a great job. 😃 Today I washed & dried the indoor doormats - the back door one was filthy with all the mud from our wellies etc. Also got the nappy wash done and hung out.
Hoping to get the bathrooms cleaned tomorrow as bare minimum. Probably a million other things need to be done but I can't think.
I managed to tie up some of the honeysuckle's new growth today but will need DH to help me with the rest as we'll need some more supports put in. We also have a young honeysuckle and clematis that need some supports put into the fence.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Had to smile at DD’s drawing on things...developing hand eye coordination with the crayon! Can you put up some old wallpaper or a roll of paper with some blu tack, so that she can draw away, but it would save your walls?

Ahh yes...l remember DH saying to DD 'shall we put you in the bath now?' 'No thank you' came back 😂 she is now 8 and still isn't that keen..!1

When my DD was about 2 or 3, if she was suspiciously quiet elsewhere in the house and I shouted her, she would shout back ‘nothing’ which always confirmed she was up to something 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
