I cashed out from Youg0v the other day and the £50 was in my account the same day. I paid £25 off my 0% CC and the other £25 off my normal spending CC to pay for some clothes I ordered.
I have set up the family secret Santa again for this year, so all the adults know who they are buying for. I just need to get them to put stuff in their wishlists now!We have a £30 limit and it means we all get something we’d like plus it’s less stressful. My mum opted out as she buys a few small things for everyone anyway. I tend to buy a small gift for everyone as well but only spend about £5 at most on each adult. My sister thinks I’m crazy even mentioning Christmas in August but I like to be organised. 😂
I broke my self imposed Vinted ban and bought myself a Nobody’s Child dress for £5. Plus postage it came to about £7.50 and when it arrived today it still had the tags on it! It was a real bargain as the dresses are usually around £35. So I was pleased with that.
I also bought a smart coat for DS for £3, it looks like it’s barely been used at all!
I sold one of the old baby sleeping bags for £2. I’ll probably add that to the Christmas fund. I’ve got my Christmas present list app open again & have been adding ideas.House is a mess and am behind with everything. The kids keep getting temps and are generally crabby so think they have a bit of a bug.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Some great shopping scores there Sashy! I love shopping early for Christmas but I don't always remember and it sneaks up one me.1

Hi Velvet, yes I’m quite happy with my bargains but have to stop shopping now! I can browse potential Christmas presents and that stops me spending on myself. I can also add things to my wish list for the secret Santa so that also stops me spending!
Last night I hand washed the smoky smelling minion, he smells better but I think he’ll need at least one more wash. He’s drying out in the spare room and I’m hoping DS doesn’t spot him. 😱
I also washed a couple of the dresses I’d bought for DD secondhand. Everything I’ve bought has arrived smelling and looking clean but I always give them a quick wash anyway.
DS had a poo incident in bed then wiped it all over the wall. 🤢 So we had to sort that out at 10pm last night. I managed to clean most of it off the wall with baby wipes (I always have an emergency packet for cleaning as I use cloth wipes for the kids now). I think I’ll need to use a magic sponge to get the last of the staining off though.
This morning’s incident was DD falling/being pushed down the stairs. All I heard was thump thump thump then DS saying uh-oh. Never moved so fast in my life, poor DD was just stunned and luckily wasn’t hurt. DH was not remotely concerned and said why was I getting stressed? Hmm because she could have broken something/seriously injured herself?? 🤦🏻♀️Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Oh know about DD. I start Christmas shopping in August too. I think it stops the stress and gets me organised xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Oh dear Sashy. I have a similar story from when I was a kid. My mum was fed up with us and sent us to our room for a nap and said she didn't want to hear from us until she said so. My younger sister took her nappy off and proceed to spread its contents on every surface but I was too scared to yell out to mum for fear of getting in trouble. When she finally came in I pretended to be asleep 😂1

Willow - yes it helps to stop all the Christmas shopping stress. I like it when I can finish it all by the start of December at the latest as well.
Looking forward to taking DS to pick his bauble for the tree as it will be the first year he chooses it rather than me. I like to get the kids one bauble each a year and keep them separately so they’ll have a collection each when they leave home.😂 Velvet I think it was a wise decision to pretend-sleep.I’ve had to wash the minion toy another 2 times. He smells better each time but still smoky. 😞 Maybe airing him for a few days might help. 🤷🏻♀️
I didn’t get much done in the way of housework yesterday apart from washings and stripping then remaking my bed.Whilst doing that I was listening to some of the neighbourhood kids arguing about the rules of a game they were playing. 😂 Only because my window was open & they were right outside!I did manage some exercise but spent half of the time doing it also shouting at DS & DD who kept carrying on and getting (literally) under my feet. They were rolling about the floor. 🤦🏻♀️Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. I did three early shifts at work at the start of the week so have been feeling a bit washed out.
I've managed to keep up with my exercise most days although when working early shift I was trying to go for a fast walk on my break whilst I popped into the shops I needed to buy things from. Today I'm having a bit of a rest day exercise wise and will do some yoga once the kids are in bed.
I've managed to lose around 8lbs since the end of June which I'm pretty happy with although I still need to lose another stone and a half. My eating hasn't been great so if I can do better with that then I think I can lose more. 🤞
DS is going back to nursery on Monday and is getting his full hours so will be in 9am-3pm and will get his lunch there. He's so excited about going back to see his friends, he really needs the extra stimulation now.
DH is being a pain as he's back at work and grumpy. He leaves a trail of destruction behind him and then flies off the handle if I ask him to do something. 🙄Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Oh dear, sounds like a few men I know!
Great about DS abs nursery though. Sounds like he’s pleased and it’ll be good for him to be out again.XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
