I love aloe vera and have one at home. I keep having to repot the little babies and give them away as they just overtake the pot otherwise.
Hope the kids comply this week! xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Hi Nicnak & Beanie. 👋
Nicnak, the aloe vera I bought had loads of pups, I think I got about 6 new plants out of it! Kids haven't been too bad so far this week, although trying to negotiate with a 3 year old is somewhat akin to negotiating with a terrorist at times. 🤷♀️ 😂
Beanie, at times it certainly feels like that. 🙄 DH has his poor me moments (sometimes days) but in general is pretty good. Just gets my back up when he starts going on at me about how he is sooo ignored and unloved, usually after telling me I'm too stressed and need to relax! 🤷♀️ Yeah that's helping to de-stress me. 😂
DS got a big scratch on his face at nursery today from one of the other kids, apparently there was a fight over a sit in car. 👀 😂 Poor boy but he hasn't even mentioned it so it can't have bothered him that much!
Have spent the last few days trying to sort out the house but not really getting anywhere with it. I feel like all I've done is washing after washing.
I decorated the living room for Halloween and the kids are loving it as there are lots of dangly shiny decorations. 😂
Managed to do 45 mins of yoga the other day when DS was at nursery and DD was napping and managed 20 mins today, although DD was crawling around me whilst I was doing it. I had to keep an eye on her as she's into everything at the moment.
DS continues to eat strangely, sometimes eating non-stop and other times just picking at his dinner. DD is eating everything we put in front of her, she's loving food. I tried giving her her morning milk in a cup but she wasn't having it, crying and refusing to take it so I have went back to the bottle after trying for a few days. She'll use a cup for her water no problem but not for the milk. 🤷♀️

Might be a comfort thing with the milk. DD was the same with me. Her milk had to be in a night time bottle.
I might decorate our house a little if my back is better and up to it.
Have a lovely weekend.

Another one planning to decorate the house 🤚 we don't usually but DS1 is really keen & it will fill a bit of time in as the weather where we are is atrocious!
Hope you have a good weekend x1 -
Hi Nicnak & Dancing.
I like to decorate the living room for Halloween as DS loves it, we have some neighbours who go proper all out and do all the outside decs and lights, the kids love it. 😂 Don't think I'm quite prepared to go that far though!
Nicnak, DS had his bedtime milk in a bottle until he was over 2 but was fine drinking it out of a sippy cup during the day. DD likes her milk in a bottle full stop at the moment! I'm sure she'll use the cup when she's ready, I'll just keep trying every so often.
I took the kids down to see my mum today, they had their puddle suits and played in the garden for a while. DD was very muddy as she was crawling around on the grass and kept trying to eat fallen leaves. 😱 DS was loving running into the pile of leaves my mum had raked up.
All I've managed to do housework wise today is some washings and gave the kitchen a quick wipe down. DH hoovered the downstairs so that was one less thing to do. Aiming to clean the bathrooms tomorrow and maybe get into the garden if it's dry enough.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Good luck with the garden it's not stopped raining here. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Well I've not managed to get anything done in the garden due to the weather Nicnak! I hope it stops raining soon, I think my bare roots hedging plants are going to be delivered in the next week or two. DH & I need to get out into the front garden at the end of the week to prep where the hedging will be going. My mum is going to watch the kids for us so we can both go out and get it done.
Have had a busy week, just running about basically. Have managed to do yoga twice and although I've felt quite stiff the next day it has definitely done me some good. I worked two late shifts on DH's days off and he has been early shifts.
Poor DD was really sore the other night and I was up 3 or 4 times with her after getting home from work. She had bad trapped wind and was also teething, DH was up at 4am for work so we couldn't even take turns. DH had given her broccoli as part of her dinner because he forgot I told him not to 🙄 it always gives her terrible trapped wind at night.
DH & I went to ikea yesterday to look at tv units, we only need something for the sound bar to sit on and DH's game console so I wanted to get one that can go on the wall. We managed to get a unit for £40 which is pretty reasonable and when we get it built and on the wall it means we can get rid of the current tv unit and have slightly more floor space in the living room.
I really want new flooring and couches for the living room but will have to wait until at least next year when we have paid off our 0% CC balances. One is at just over £700 and the other is around £1800. I need to confirm the amount of the bigger balance with DH and set up a new snowball.
The couch we have is just too big for our living room and takes up too much space plus it's just not very comfortable. I'd like to get a two seater, a three seater and an armchair if we can fit it in. If we ever get the sunroom built we can move the kids' toys in there and that will give us a bit more room as well.
So far today I have hoovered the living room, done a washing, did the big clean of the cat litter trays and did most of the online shop. Need to agree next week's dinners with DH and then we can finish it off. I also managed to book our Christmas food delivery slot as Mr A has released them for delivery pass holders now. I'm working 23rd & 24th Dec so have organised it for 22nd.
The weather is very wet and windy today so I'm not planning on leaving the house, just going to stay warm with the kids. DH is working but will be home for dinner, I'm going to make a baked macaroni so hopefully DS will actually eat some of it.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. The weather has been horrible Beanie, DS has started copying me and saying every morning "Oh what a horrible day!" as soon as I open the curtains. 😂 He does this even if the sun is shining, which admittedly is rare atm.
I seem to have pulled/hurt something in my hip, so it's quite painful just now. I did some yoga tonight after getting the kids to bed, think it helped a bit to stretch it out but it's still sore.
I managed to pick up a Christmas fleece blanket for DS for £5 from Mr A and also got some christmas pjs for both kids from Bee&M. I also picked up a sheet mask for my mum for £1, a small tin of shortbread for PIL for £1, a tray for Santa's snacks on Christmas eve for £1 and a storage basket for DS's books in his room for £4. I also went into H0me bargains and got apple & cinnamon and gingerbread wax melts - 79p for 8 melts isn't bad.
I totally forgot to look for silver foil garlands for my Christmas decorations though which is annoying. DH broke about 3 of them last year taking them down. 🙄 I got good ones from Wilk0s, with 2 in a pack for £1 last year but they are sold out online just now (plus the delivery is £5!!!) and the nearest Wilk0s shop is awkward to get to. I need to remember to look in any bargain type shops for them, so annoyed I forgot earlier today.
The retail park I went to was really busy, I was shocked at how busy it was for a Tuesday afternoon. There was no way of distancing in the shops either, I just ran round both bargain shops really quickly and grabbed what I had come in for. I think a lot of people are thinking that Scotland will be following England into another lockdown and are shopping accordingly.
I need to try and get a Dr's appointment for DS as his constipation just seems to be getting worse, he's going at least 4 or 5 days between poos and it's a real struggle for him every time. 😣 I don't understand it as he has a lot of fibre, eats fruit and veg, loves things like prunes and dried apricots and drinks a lot of fluids but still having problems. I've been trying lactulose which helped for a bit but isn't doing much anymore. I think he really needs something stronger to clear him out and then go on a maintenance dose for a while.
Anyway it will be a nightmare even getting a phone appointment as it's so hard to get through, you can only get appointments from 8am and most are gone by 9am, which is when I finally get through most of the time. 😖 It's not a good time of the morning for me as I'm trying to get the kids up, organised and fed as well. 😠
I also need to phone the school office to get an appointment for DS's nursery parent's evening. That is going to be a phone appointment too but the online booking system isn't working, it keeps saying there are no teachers assigned to my DS. sigh 😔
Then at the end of the week I have an eye test - I definitely think my eyesight has gotten worse since my last check up. ☹️ I had laser eye surgery 8 years ago to correct horrendous short sightedness after wearing glasses for 20 years. At my last eye test two years ago the optometrist said one eye was borderline for a prescription again. ☹️ I've been noticing recently that I'm squinting a lot so definitely think I'll be getting glasses again. It was a nice 8 years without them!! At least I won't be as blind as I was previously.
