I love how he comes home so dirty. It reminds me so my h of DD. My mum used to dread picking her up to see what she would come out like. At least you know he's having fun!. It's great they've got chickens too. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Hi all. 👋
Will have to check out the Ace SA, that mud stain is not shifting.
Yes Beanie, pale blue not really a good idea for nursery!
Nicnak, yes he's filthy most days, they are always out in the nursery garden and even have waterproof trousers and jackets for the kids to wear. Who knows how dirty he would be without them. 😱
I only worked one day last week and am working one day this week as have annual leave to use up. Work are trying to say that everyone has to use their accrued annual leave up by the end of the year but that doesn't sound right to me as we've never had to do that before. 🤔 I have annual leave days accrued over 2 maternity leaves over 3 years so would never be able to use all of my annual leave days by the end of the year as I only work two days a week!
DH won quite a lot of money the other day, he budgets a certain amount every month and plays online (slots etc) as it's something he enjoys and can still do these days. Anyway we have managed to pay £1K off the debt with the winnings. 🥳
I still need to add some debt onto my signature though, as we had to take out another 0% money transfer to completely clear the O/D. With the bank charges it worked out cheaper to do that, so even with £1K paid off we still have near enough £3K on 0% CC along with the car loans and the garage conversion loan. We just got into a mess again with me being on SMP. I actually need to sit down and work out the current loan totals as well, I'm not sure what they are atm.
I cashed out of Youg0v the other day, the money was in my bank account within a few hours. 😊 So I used that money to pay for a few things I'd bought myself. I still have around £30 survey money that I can pay towards the debt, so that will probably go to the highest interest loan.
DH also ordered a magnetic board for the fridge so that we can write up a meal plan for the week and he has filled it in for this week. 👍 So we just need to find all our base recipes and put them together so we can look at them and decide what's on the meal plan every week. This definitely helps to keep costs down and help us be organised but I've just not had the mental energy to do it.
I've had to make up a days of the week and a weekend sheet for DS's wall in his room as he is getting very confused about what days he is at home and what days he is at nursery. I laminated the sheets and printed out a picture of a house and a picture of children, laminated them and have stuck some blu tac on them so that DS can move them next to the right day every morning. So the house is for when he's at home and the children are for when he's at nursery. I don't know if it's helping but it's worth a try, the schools and nurseries are on holiday this week, so DS won't be happy as he loves going to nursery.

Fab news about the win. The sheet for DS sounds good. At least he can see where he will be. Holidays will always cause an issue though!

Thanks Beanie & Nicnak, I have also ordered a simplified calendar for DS that sticks to the fridge. It has days of the week, seasons, weather, a little clock and how we're feeling today (happy/sad etc) as well. So DS can move those things about every morning as well, hopefully it will all help him feel a bit more organised as he likes a routine. I was looking at the wee calendar online last week but held off for prime day and it had around £5 off - as I also had a voucher from surveys it only cost me £3.50 in the end.
I have also ordered one of DH's christmas presents as there was a good discount on it and I had another voucher. DH has ordered a whisky gift set for his dad - a bottle and two nice glasses - and a sanctuary spa gift set for his mum for their Christmas presents as they also had good discounts. He's just getting them sent straight to them, so we'll just do a small box of treats, things like nice coffee, tea, chocolates etc and send that down nearer the time with the christmas cards.
Yesterday I got three loads of washing done, hoovered the living room and did the big clean of the litter trays. I managed to clear out the kitchen a bit more - we had loads of random stuff sitting in the fruit bowl 🤷♀️- so everything has been tidied up and put away properly.
I also made a chicken & onion pie with the leftover roast chicken we had from the weekend and we had that with new potatoes (still using up our homegrown ones) and green beans. DS was picking again at his food, he always eats much better at lunchtime than dinner. Poor DD has had a bit of a dodgy tummy the last two days and some yucky nappies but has been happy enough otherwise. She seems a lot better today though which is good. 👍
Trying to do some surveys, am only about £1.50 away from cashing out on onep0ll which is good. 😊 Having a bit of a nightmare trying to cash out from pinec0ne as they changed their cash option from payp@l to another provider, have had nothing but trouble so far, so not very good. 🤨Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I've had a busy week, especially as DS has been off nursery. I had another appointment with the chiropractor (pelvis/back slowly getting back to normal but I need to fit some yoga in every week for both my back and my sanity) and also my smear test which was fine although a bit weird having to wear a mask throughout. 🤷♀️
I bought some nice ground coffee, chocolate, olives and oatcake bites to go into a small Christmas parcel for the outlaws. I'll get them a few more bits to add to it as well, maybe some nice hand wash or something.
I cashed out £25 from onep0ll so just waiting on that going into my account then I can decide what to pay it off.
Back at work today so had a wander in town during my break and found some Ace liquid for whites in the £ shop so will give that a go with the stubborn mud stain on DS's polo shirt. I also found some reusable tote style bags with unicorns on them so bought one each for my wee nieces and can put their Christmas presents in them. They're not too christmassy so can be used for other things afterwards. 👍
The kids were both happy to see me when I got home today for about 5 mins then turned into greeting faced monsters. 😩 Think DD wasn't feeling very well and DS just followed me everywhere, I had only worked one 8 hour shift and they were asleep for 2 hours of it! Back at work tomorrow so hope they don't do the same thing when I get home again. 😱Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Oh forgot to add that the meal planning has been going fairly well and it definitely helps to know what we're having for dinner every day. Yesterday I made minestrone soup in the morning for dinner (and plenty left over for lunches) and last night I put everything in the slow cooker for goulash for tonight's dinner. DH made baked potatoes to go with it and that was us sorted. I did have to steal my mum's paprika though as we had run out and there were none in the shops nearest to us!
DS is still being very picky with his eating but DD loves her food and is trying everything atm. Hopefully DS will grow out of this phase soon as he used to be an excellent eater.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Thanks Nicnak, yes the kids often act as though they've been abandoned when I dare to leave them to go to work. 😂
DH is back at work on late shifts today for the rest of the week so it will be solo bed times for me. Fingers crossed DS behaves as some nights he's great and very co-operative and others he's hell on wheels. 🤷♀️ DD just goes with the flow although she does get a bit grumpy when she's tired.
Working 3 early shifts in a row was hard going, I hate getting up at 5am and my whole body was aching by the end of the 3 days. 😩 Still feeling pretty exhausted, at least I just have to do some housework today, look after the kids and drop off/pick up DS from nursery this afternoon. I have another appointment with the podiatrist tomorrow and chiropractor appointment on Friday. DH is watching the kids before going to work so that I can actually get to my appointments. 👍
DH is feeling sorry for himself again because apparently I'm not interested in him and don't pay any attention to him. 🙄 Why are men such babies, excuse me for having to deal with the kids, the cats, the house, my job and trying not to lose the plot. 🙄
I have given my two older nieces a small aloe vera plant each from the pups I got out of my bigger plant. I have bought terracotta pots for 49p and am going to paint them for them to put the plants in. I thought aloe veras might be safe as they don't need too much looking after. 😂 I also need to pot on my african violet cuttings, I'm sure my brother's gf will take a couple off me.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
