Thanks all, DD won't have a clue what's going on but DS will be very excited about the birthday cake. 😊 I think DH is going to make a sponge as he's managed to get a couple of days off. I just need to wrap her fairy house including fairies and care bear as that's all she's getting from us.

I have ordered a couple more Christmas presents as Boots were doing FCUK gift sets half price. I can use them for my nephews and give them some socks and cash to finish their presents off. I'm really pleased I got them half price as I was looking at buying them full price last week. 😃

I have also ordered some tops for all 4 of my nieces, so the wee girls are done, just the older twins to buy for. Have already bought them socks, lip gloss and face moisturiser so will get a few more wee bits then add some cash and they're done.

I've pretty much finished buying for the kids, just need to get them christmas pjs nearer the time, another small thing each and some chocolate coins or something for their stockings.

I need to nag everyone in the family secret santa again to add things to their wish lists so I can also buy my secret santa gift. 🙄 I have no idea what DH would like either, I also need to buy a small gift for my nephew's gf who is pregnant and a few wee token gifts for family. I'll probably also need to organise some sort of presents for the outlaws, I'm thinking some skincare/bath stuff for MIL that I can get sent straight to her and will probably leave FIL to DH. He'll probably just buy him a bottle of whiskey tbh.

I've seen a nice handbag I'd like and have been sent a 25% discount code for the site so will probably buy that then give it to DH to wrap. It's a lovely leather bag so a bit more expensive but very good value with the discount code. 👍

  • Wow you're sounding so organized with Christmas, I made a good start and then nothing for a few weeks - must do better.
Hope you're all managing to get more sleep now DS is more settled in nursery.
Sounds like DD will have a lovely first birthday, lucky girl 🥳 x

Hi all, thanks for the birthday wishes, I can't believe how big DD is getting. 😭 I'm already looking wistfully at tiny babies. 😂

Had a busy day today as DS had his MMR booster jags before nursery. When we got to the clinic he was walking along quite happily until we got to the doors and then he screeched to a halt like a dog realising it was being taken into the vets. 😂

He did walk in after a bit of persuasion but I had to carry him into the room where he got his injections. He did really well though and didn't cry. Whilst he was there they offered to give him his flu vaccination as well so that we didn't need to come back again in a separate appointment, so he had that done and again did really well. When we got outside I gave him a wee packet of milky way chocolate stars so that cheered him up.

After nursery drop off I took DD to lunch with my sister and my nephew's gf. The owner of the restaurant we were in is such a nice man and loves babies so he kept talking to DD, calling her bella (he is Italian) and gave her a balloon, a fidget spinner (which mesmerised her!!) and some free ice cream. 😂 She even smiled at him and she hardly ever smiles at people she doesn't know, unlike DS who would go away with anyone and says hello to strangers on the street. 🤦‍♀️ 😂

When I picked DS up from nursery he was totally covered in mud, there were even splashes on his scalp. 😱 He's having nursery photos taken tomorrow so who knows what state he will be in by the point the photo is taken. 👀 He always comes home bogging. 😂 His hair is usually sticking up every which way like Boris's as well. 😱

I've had to put a washing on to try and get the mud out of his (light blue) nursery jumper and (white) polo shirt. The jumper cost £12 (!) cos it's got the logo on it so hopefully it will wash ok! I did buy two, so at least he has a clean one for his photo tomorrow, well it will be clean when he goes into nursery anyway.

Well, apparently DS needed some "encouragement" from his key worker for his nursery photo. 🤔 I'm not sure if that meant he was crying, wouldn't smile or was refusing to sit for the photo. 🤷‍♀️ Will be interesting to see the results anyway. 😂

Popped out to Mr M's after dropping DS off at nursery and got a few things that we couldn't get in on our online delivery. I also picked up some chocolate oranges to use in christmas presents as they were down to £1. I have hidden them from DH so he can't eat them! Also picked up a small nectarine scented candle as a small christmas present for my brother's gf. Just going to give everyone a wee token thing with socks or chocolate, the candle was only £2 so that fits the bill. 👍

Oh and the nursery jumper needed stain removal treatment (twice) and three washes to get the mud out. 😱 I still haven't managed to get it out of the white polo shirt and have given up for now. He came home with his second nursery jumper all dirty today and he smelled like chickens. 🤢 I think he must have been helping to clean out the chicken coop at nursery. He loves those chickens. 😂

Ace is good at getting stains out of whites. The photos might be interesting then 🤣 One thing for sure they’re always expensive 👎
