Lunches out sound Nice. Just a bit of something normal. Who would have thought have lunch out was a big thing! It is to me now. X

Hi Beanie & Nicnak, thanks. 😊 It was so nice to get out and have lunch after so long not doing anything! Although weird as the waiters and waitresses all had masks or visors on.

Two of the heucheras I ordered online were a bit worse for wear when they arrived, they had barely any leaves. I emailed the company and sent photos and they have refunded me the cost of both plants. 👍 Hopefully they will recover as they are now free plants. 😃

I have been busy clearing things out in the house as we had a charity collection bag through the door. Managed to get 4 bags of stuff out of the house, mostly outgrown baby/kids clothes. I have also sold some books and dvds to Ziffit and MM, was offered £15 for one box and £5 for the other. The £15 box was collected today and the smaller box is being collected on Monday. I already have another £7 worth of things to send to Ziffit but need to find a big enough box first.

DH has sold a lot of games, dvds and blu-rays to cex and dropped his box off at the parcel shop on the way to work today. He was offered £58! He's putting it towards things for the garden as we need to treat/paint the fence, add the boards at the bottom of the garden and the plants I bought cost £25 (with the refund).

We also have quite a few things that really need to be taken to the tip like a small fridge, an old office chair and a lot of junk that's currently stored down the side of the house. DH is going to look at the small businesses online that take all that sort of stuff away for a fee rather than faff about trying to fit it in our cars. He just wants to check that they're legit and not going to just fly tip the stuff though. We'll need to wait until our next pay anyway as very short this month due to my rubbish wage.

I took DS & DD to my brother's house yesterday afternoon so they could play with their cousins. DS got on a bit better with the cousin closest in age to him this time, they were running up and down the garden together with the dog chasing them. 😂 DS loved the dog and kept cuddling him. 💓 He's a very patient black lab but I still had to keep reminding DS not to be too rough with him or lean his weight on him.

My other niece who is 5 was more interested in DD than DS. She wanted to hold her and give her her bottle. Unfortunately DD was grumpy due to refusing to nap in her pram (she only wants to nap in her cot which is quite difficult when we're not in the house!) and her mouth was sore with teething.

Sashybo- could you sell the overgrown kids clothes in bundles  on FB marketplace?  I loved your description of the children together in the garden.  Precious times.

Hi Jan, will have a think about selling the kid's clothes next time I have a bag full. I just wanted shot of the stuff I had to be honest and a lot of it was already second hand from my friend whose DD is 8 months older than mine. I do have a pair of Clark's trainers lurking somewhere that DS only wore a handful of times so they might be worth trying to sell on.

That reminds me that I also found the newborn pack for my pram that was only used a few times so I may be able to sell that on. The pram I got for DS (which is now DD's) is basically a buggy but you could use the newborn pack to change it round to a flat pram when the baby was too wee to sit up. We also have an isofix car seat base and pram/car seat adaptors that can be sold on as well.

So we'll have a look at doing that soon, the extra money can go towards the O/D which we're going to end up back in after the bills come out at the start of the month (thanks to my rubbish wage). Once I'm getting my usual wage we should be able to get out of the O/D within a few months.

My DS & my niece were so funny in the garden, just running and laughing at each other and the dog. They would stop every so often to have a tussle and push each other as well. 😂 They fight like cat and dog half the time! I think DD was desperate to join in!

Was at the chiropractor again this morning, my back has been so sore since the first adjustment on Tuesday. It feels a bit better after today's adjustment plus I've done some yoga the last two mornings which has helped.

It was a miserable day yesterday and just didn't stop raining. It's looking a lot better today, hoping to take the kids down to my mum's for a bit soon.

My son and and partner have clothed Ava on a shoe string.  Lots of clothes from FB and as she`s only 15/12 I`d struggle to see any problems in the clothes. Lots clearly unworn.  Certainly there`s a greater market for it out there particularly as people want to avoid the shops.

Do hope your back feels better very soon - sounds very painful.

Hi all, thanks for popping in. My back is a bit better, it has been a lot worse in the past so it's not as sore as it could be. I was meant to go back to the chiropractor next Friday but don't have any childcare so have had to cancel. My chiropractor is on holiday the following week, so it will be over two weeks before I can see her again.

I'll need to try and do a bit of yoga every second day at the very least and hopefully my back won't get worse.

I took the kids out the other day, picked up my mum and went to visit my aunt as she had her twin grandsons over. DS enjoys playing with the boys so we thought we should take him over. DS was a bit of a pain as he kept running away down the gardens - my aunt only has a fence on one side and the other is open for about 3 gardens. Of course he kept doing it because he knew it was annoying me! I just didn't want him annoying my aunt's neighbours who were sitting out. 🤦‍♀️

The twins are about 7 months older than my DS but are very small compared to him - he looked like a big giant running about next to them. 😂 DD had fun sitting on a play mat playing with the toy cars, which she loves. 😊

I got back from my aunt's at dinner time, so was debating whether to get the kids' dinner on or get the nappy wash in that was hanging out on the line. DH had hung it out before going to work and it was dry as it had been a nice day. I thought about leaving it until after the kids were in bed but decided to just do it.

Thank goodness I did as it started raining as I was getting it in and then by the time the kids were going to bed there was thunder and the rain was pelting down!!

I have had a lazy weekend and not been up to much as DH was late shift, so I only got washings done and some hoovering. DS keeps asking when we can go out in the car again and telling me that he had good fun with the boys. 😂

I'm still waiting to find out about DS starting nursery, still don't have a date but should be in the next two weeks. I just hope it's not his first day on a day I'm meant to be working as I'll have to try and get it off. First full shift is on Wednesday this week, so that will be tiring for me.

I'm still trying to organise a retirement dinner for one of my work colleagues but most restaurants are not sitting more than 8 people together. I'm hoping we can have two tables as there will be around 12 people attending. We all work in the same office and most of them have worked through the whole lockdown together, so are happy to sit together. I need to phone the place I'm hoping to book and see if they will agree to two tables near each other. Fingers crossed.

I got a good deal on B00ts website the other day - got 5 tubs of DH's usual face cream for the cost of 2 as they were half price, plus there was £5 off a £20 spend and £3 off for buying online. 😁 I also got 3 months worth of DS's multivitamins for £6 instead of £12 due to stacking offers. 👏 Plus 25% cashback on £co. 😃 Pleased with that, DH won't need any face cream for the foreseeable future!

I love it when you have a bargain like that and get cash back. That is some deal though!
