That's true Nicnak. I really need to properly clean the curtains as well and have no idea where to start! At least if I buy another pair then if I wreck the old ones trying to clean them it won't matter so much. 🤔

Beanie, I hear you on cats wrecking stuff, I don't know how many cushions and jumpers my cats have ruined with their claws causing pulls. Actually, the aforementioned curtains mostly need cleaned due to the cats as well. One of their litter boxes is near the patio doors and therefore one of the curtains and the wee swines lean out of the hooded litter box, ignore the mat I put in front of it and use the curtain to wipe their paws. 😯 I actually couldn't believe it when I saw them doing it!

I know I shouldn't laugh, but that really did make me laugh. They wipe their paws on the curtains! Sounds like my DD.

😂 Nicnak, it is funny but they really are wee bar stewards, they even have a mat especially to wipe their paws on but prefer the curtain. 🤷‍♀️

My Big cat is really naughty, he also likes to sit near the cat water fountain and splash people as soon as they turn their back on him. 😂 Old cat just gets in everyone's face (except DS's as he's not fond of small children), miaowing and demanding food.

I love how animals have personalities. I have a rabbit that I am sure thinks he is a kid. He sneaks into the kitchen on his belly and round the back of the table. When we go in , he jumps straight on the patio furniture and lies out with his feet behind him and everything. We have a night time routine and he seems to sit on the step now and wait for me.

😂 Nicnak your rabbit sounds like a character, yes animals are so funny sometimes and it's amazing how different they all are. My wee cat that died a couple of years ago now was tiny but totally dominated the boy cats in my house - her nickname was Satan's imp as she got into absolutely everything and genuinely thought she was a lion rather than a house cat. If there was a loaf of bread sitting out she would try to steal the whole thing (bigger than her) rather than just a bit of it and would growl at me for taking it away from her. 😂

Unfortunately she got a taste for silicone/plastics and started chewing it (and swallowing unbeknownst to us). Eventually some got stuck in her intestine, we only realised she was swallowing it when we saw her throwing some big bits back up. 😮 Took her to the vet and she survived the initial operation to remove the bit stuck in her intestine but died afterwards. It was horrible and we felt really guilty as we knew she liked chewing things and tried to put them out of her way but she always managed to get some. 😔

One of the vets I saw was really nice but the one who phoned to tell me the cat had died was pretty nasty and made it obvious that she thought I was a sh*tty owner who had neglected my cat. DS was only 10 months old and everything was so up in the air that I probably wasn't paying as much attention to the cat as usual but didn't really need that vet being nasty when the cat had just died, I felt bad enough! Plus we had forgotten to get the pet insurance renewed (first time parent baby brain) so we had a £700 bill to pay. 😱

Currently sitting out in the garden watching DS run about - it's lovely in the sun but the wind is still pretty chilly and very strong. DS is ignoring me as usual and throwing stones and attacking plants, so I have been shouting quite a lot and will have to take him in soon. 😐 He is really obsessed with the stones in the garden - for ages he would put them in his mouth because he knew I would freak out, now it's throwing them all over the place, especially near the greenhouse. 😡

He is very testing atm and is hard work, last night he screamed all the way up the stairs and through getting ready for bed because he wasn't getting a bath and he wanted one. 🤦‍♀️ He woke DD up and I had to do a swap with DH because I was going to strangle him. 👀

Have got two washings out on the line, think they're almost dry already as it's so windy. No real plans today apart from trying not to lose my temper with DS.

😂 Beanie, my DS likes to eat Dreamies when I hand them to him so he can give them to the cats. 😮 I live in hope that he can bribe the cats into liking him, hand him a dreamie, turn round and it's in his mouth 50% of the time. 🤷‍♀️ 🤣

 Yes, pets certainly are funny. They do all have unique personalities like we all do.
Cats are known to be independent so not sure how you could always prevent a cat from doing something unless you are watching it 24 hours a day. Hardly within your control. If the cat goes out, how can you stop it doing things inside unless you are with it? I have never had cats but assume my above reasoning about it is a reasonable assumption to make?
