Meals to have been using up yesterday's left overs. Soup at lunchtime and tonight's offering will be veggie pie and roastie made from left overs and I finished a pack of puff pastry.

Managed to get the kitchen done so I'm doing some cross stitch now while food cooks.

Dh is back at work tomorrow so tree will come down then.

Welcome to all the new flyers.
Hope the poorlies are starting to feel a bit better.

    Hi all

Nice day out with my boys and DH. I am just tidying around, sorting out my work handbag and mentally preparing myself for tomorrow!

atb work is tricky. I have somehow ended up with 2 part time jobs. Job no. 1 is close to home, well paid and secure but I dont get on with my boss very well, however, he is past retiring age and when he leaves I will very likely be offered his job. No idea when this will happen and if I am really honest I dont enjoy the work that much! Job no. 2 is also well paid and flexible, I work mostly from home. I enjoy this job more but the owners are talking about selling up.

I could try and find one job that pays enough but it would probably have to be full time and at the moment I am at home 3 afternoons a week. At some point things are going to change and then I will have to make a decision, for now it makes sense to sit tight and try and make the best of it.

Anyway, I am rambling, off to gather up some shoes and coats (why do they leave them all over the house) and try and chill out.

I am a bit late but wishing all flyladies a happy New Year.

All decorations away have sorted them out and managed to get rid of one large storage box full -just bits that never get used but are kept and stored year after year.

No return to work for me tomorrow as I took early retirement last November - May look for something else but not rushing into anything but good vibes to all who are going back after the break.

just going to sort kitchen and dw

    hugs to all

well I have two knackered knees so cleaning lower cupboards is a nightmare
I sympathise; my left knee was damaged in a car crash in 1990 (basically, my leg tried to occupy the same point in the space/time continuum as the steering column) and it was never actually treated; and these days, having been walked on heavily for all those years because putting any weight on the left one hurt, the right one has come out in sympathy! Never mind cleaning lower cupboards, just getting something out is a game!

I have, however, managed all of Level 1 today before pain (knees, arms, hands, shoulders, back) got the better of me. Also the [STRIKE]tat[/STRIKE] decs are now stashed out of the way in the loft, and Mr LW has dusted all the high areas that I can't get to. Entire bungalow has been Dys0ned also. Oh yes, and I've done 2 WM loads - one of Mr LW's clothes, and one of mine.

My plan is to run with my own Master Flying List and see how much of it we can clear this week; though I have to go into town tomorrow IF the GP surgery have actually done my repeat prescription request. *crosses fingers*
Will be using the Official List as inspiration for where to concentrate on.:o

Valli , Thanks. Also I notice you put your washing out, do you live non uk? Mine takes 3-4 days to dry in winter here , quicker for me to do it in the house on an Airer (or 3) because we get no sun from November-march in our garden (boo) . Or do you have some magical drying trick?

No, I live in the East Midlands! And I don't get much sun on the back but if there's a prevailing wind it usually dries. The thicker stuff didnt get bone dry, but dry enough to iron and leave on the maiden (which is Lancashire dialect for clothes horse). I have two lines, one along the path and one diagonally across the lawn. I learned, years ago, to peg out my washing wearing wellies.

    Washing ironed and on maiden.

Need to vacuum round now, post decs clearance.

Been out all day today in Bath - lovely place to visit. Bought a book and a few odds and ends but had a really good chat with a lovely friend of mine and made the world a better place .... or at least we think so!

Flying wise, took up some clothes which shouldn't have been down here but that's about it unless you count decluttering anxieties and worries from a very concerned 10 year old boy - breaks my heart when he's like this and nervous about going back to school tomorrow :(

    thanks natty fit the thread

wow 2 pages already, I've been out all day so only had chance to skim read.

I have done level one easy without having to clear anything else first, that for me is an achievement. Also cleared out kitchen cupboard 4, washed up and sink is shined.

Back to the paid stuff tomorrow , will be in work mode so hopefully get a bit more done then.

I would like to try to get up a bit earlier so I have a hour in the morning before work but I need my sleep so may struggle with this.

What time in the day do others set aside for the housework?

Another long time lurker here... I just wanted to say thank you for the lists. They are inspirational. I may not make even level one on some days but this group has been such a support over the last 3 years, so thank you. Valli's sign offs have become my mantras....but maybe that it why I have 2 full freezers!! Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks. Maybe this will be the year that I finally get the courage to de-lurk!:o

Lovely to see some lurkers posting - sometimes I forget you're there!
Off to work in the morning for an inset day, so don't know if I'll get any list done. But house not looking too bad. Finally.
