This week has flown by , work has taken over my days . I have done three 10 hour days , then gone swimming as well .

When it's sunny my job is never quiet , it's very varied and sometimes stressful but I enjoy it mostly. Hoping for a little quiet next week , after the school holidays are over.
It's slightly cooler today and is much more bearable. We have had none of the storms that have affected the country. The last rain we had was a week last Friday.
I managed 3NSD's this week and didn't go anywhere in the evening. I have my DGC tomorrow for the day whilst the parents go out doing other things , no rest for the wicked. I didn't have them Friday as their mum was off for the holidays.

Now ahem to Friday , confession time , I went on a shopping spree . I bought lots of new clothes , most are for my Australia trip , but some are for work. I also bought 2 new pairs of summer sandals . The total amount spent was £136.,96 . :eek:I had some in my clothes budget but will need to put some to it next payday. I used my credit card as well , but it will be paid off in full . I definitely don't need anymore clothes for hols , just a new swimsuit .The difference this time in spending was I went with a list of things to get and stuck to it, I tried some on as well so nothing needs to go back.

Food shopping today was £20.91 , well in target .

Just going to do some batch cooking. :A

I have made 3 portions of veg soup with a veg soup bag from Aldi about 69 p I think, I have put a few extras in left over from the week plus some GF pasta to make it filling.
I reckon the soup has cost about £1.50 to make.
Three bean curry I use 2 tins of Aldi mixed beans and the rest comes out of the store cupboard , chucked last weeks last couple of tomatoes in as well.. I use frozen onions , much better for me no waste . That probably cost about £1.50 to make as well.

Breakfast this week will be porridge on non work days and strawberries and natural yoghurt on work days.

Lunch on work days is always salad , I tend to see what is on Aldi super six and maybe put extras in my salad. My staples are lettuce, celery, tomatoes, peppers, grapes , few seeds . This week it will be chicken from the cold meat section at Aldi. Lunch when I am not working will be crackers , low fat cheese like Philadelphia but Aldi version with tomatoes. I always have at least 2 pieces of fruit at work.

Evening meals this week, will be pasta , roast beef, cauliflower mash and frozen veg. Fish pie homemade topped with potato , with some green beans .
Jacket potato with tuna and sweet corn .
Homemade soup with GF crusty bun.
Three bean curry and cauliflower rice.

Pudding is nearly always more fruit and yoghurt if I am still hungry.

All this talk of food has made me hungry.

Sounds sensible to me, especially if you worked to a list.

Well done on the sensible clothes shopping with list We all need clothes from time to time but I think clothes shopping can be a bit like eating sometimes - I.e. it can be mindless - either binge eating without thinking what's going into your mouth while watching TV for example, or grabbing clothes while shopping out or online without thinking what you really need or what goes with what you already have.

Sensible and healthy food planning as well Cumbria. :j

Great day with the little ones, their boundless energy , funny things they say and do makes you forget how tiring they are.

Now then for anybody who read my diary last winter may remember that through my long virus I also had a lump removed from my nose that turned out to be basal cell carcinoma . I am finally at the hospital tomorrow to start getting it sorted , they said 18 weeks waiting and it's not far off. Booked the day off , going for lunch with my friend after.

Lovely weather again today , but the air is muggy again this evening .

  • There's no shame in buying clothes when you need clothes Cumbria.

It's good news that you're having the carcinoma sorted, good luck with that tomorrow.

I hope all goes well at the hospital. An excellent idea to go for lunch with a friend after. I think any hospital poking around leaves us feeling vulnerable so it makes sense to have a nice treat straight after :)
