Mooloo. Can your daughter apply for universal credit? If she does she should be able to claim around 80 per cent of her childcare costs back. It will obviously depend on what total income comes into the household, her partners earnings as well, but you can work and be on universal credit.

Unfortunately he earns too much for any help, child benefits etc either. The problem is that there is a mountain of debt from before she met him, ( both of them but mostly him), and they are trying to pay it down as soon as possible to be able to be in a better position to buy a house rather than pay nearly £2,000 a month rent.

Oh Mooloo, chin up. We're all rooting for you. You seem to do amazingly well with all you have thrown at you. A hug from me.

Thankyou. I will bounce back in a day or two. Luckily Dgd is with her Mum, my Mum is with my brother and the shop is closed tomorrow anyway. My bf is over in Austria with work so I only have to look after me today.

Don't worry, it could have been worse at least he wasn't hurt and I am a pro at budgeting and juggling things.
It's just not ideal to come home too.
The sciatica is a nuisance but can be managed over the next few days (I hope)
I will be starting to take my Golden Paste again tomorrow too. My plan today is to have an early dinner, feet up and pen out. I always come to a solution if I write it down long enough!
After all the problems over the last 10 years or so, I no longer panic more than a few hours before I start to be focused and practical ( again hopefully)!

Found space at DGDs old nursery/now after school club for DGS4 in October so Biggest can come to work with me during term time. Allows her school hours and my Saturday girl holiday cover.
So now I will be able to have more social media updates and internet connection etc
As well as front of house etc
It will help me to spend time in the other site I plan to work in.
It is up to us both to work with it and make it successful.
I hope that will solve my problems and hers.
Unfortunately I have not come up with an answer for DS yet. I will just have to keep working on it.
I have no option now but to be successful and I will do everything I can to succeed.
    Two problems solved.

    Wednesday already.
I am not sleeping well. Sciatica mixed with a brain that won't rest keeps me awake. I ended up listening to one of my hypnosis tapes just after midnight, just to try and relax the brain. It helped me for a while.alas not for more than an hour or so.
So what will today bring? I am yet to know. I know that I need to unpack still, do the washing machine, etc
I need to change the beds, tidy up etc as after a week in an empty apartment my home feels rather claustrophobic.
I need to menu plan, I need to buy fresh vegetables.
I need to buck up my ideas.

    Suitcase unpacked.
    Two wash loads Done.
    Bank Accounts/money journal update
SOA done. Scary figures compared to 8 months ago. But not as bad as I feared.
Savings etc depleted, to a few hundred in an ISA I can't touch.
    Plans of action started.
Given DS £450 for a banger so that he can go home, and he can get to work when it starts.
Biggest to make sure that's what it goes on.
I have had a meeting with A supplier and purchased stock for the shop which I will be putting on the website etc soon, as well as being in the shop.
I have had a late lunch. But I decided not to food shop today, but to make do with the store cupboard items while it is only me at home.
I have sat with my feet up for a while and after I have written this I am going to draft a letter for the dress shop in Towcester.
Due to the retirement of Staff, and the start of dgs4 in nursery not being able to start until the end of September, I realistically can't start work in Towcester until October.
If the terms are still favourable.
Once that is done I am going to forget about doing loads of housework and do more business stuff on the computer instead.
