Thank you Cherryfudge.
This bug is really horrible. I've been off work today as well and despite resting all day, still feel washed out:(. My lovely mum came up yesterday and caught up on a couple of chores for me as I've felt so rough. DD2 has had to do the school runs for the others.
One joy has been seeing the pink camellias through the bedroom window. Their beautiful colour has been in such contrast to the grey sky.
Not leaving the house has meant no temptation to spend at Mr T's on the way home and the diesel is lasting well in the tank. I gave given £30 to DD2 to pay for the petrol she's used conveying her siblings to school. Thankfully DS1 is able to get to his bus independently.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . I think I'd better prescribe another day in bed, or at least at home.
Isn't it useful when the children learn to drive?! Mine give me lifts from time to time, but most of all they can drive themselves to things - and do the late-night taxi service for each other!
Camellias are lovely. We have two crocuses, much to my surprise, but the beautiful pink camellia two doors down won't have any colour for a while yet. We have a Viburnum Bodnantense Dawn by the front gate and it's in full flower with the sweetest scent. I'm so glad I got it.
I do hope you feel better soon.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thank you Wannabe and Cherryfudge. Your prescription was necessary Cherryfudge, although I did go out to go to the doctors mid morning and was so exhausted by doing that, it was straight back to bed on my return. I now have antibiotics to take.
I'm very thankful for DD2 being able to drive. She has been a star this week and managed Tescos en route back home to pick up top up things. I will try and do a grocery order on line to be delivered. Thankfully the freezer is full, so I can do some meals from there.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

The other benefit to being home is that the puppies have been slightly less destructive this week.:cool:paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Hope that you're starting to feel better now HSL. It sounds very similar to what I've had (except I couldn't get a doctor's appointment so I've just treated mine with painkillers) and it's been quite unpleasant. Not giving up

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes. I've had a decent night's sleep...helped by using some Vicks. It helped my breathing which in turn helped me to sleep better.
I've been in such a bubble of exhaustion that I haven't tackled any figures or budgets so must catch up a bit today.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.
