Congratulations on your engagement, Honeysuckle! I wish you every happiness for the future.
The tips situation sounds really unfair. 😡
Does your SO contribute to food and other running costs when they stay over weekends? Perhaps you can say goodbye to job 2 when he moves in.2 -
Thank you Lucielle, SH and Kittykattykate.
Kittykattykate- yes SO contributes by buying all of
the food which has allowed me to cut back on a shift at Job 2. His approach to food buying is different to mine but he is mindful of the need for high iron foods!! We both pay for activities at the weekend if we take the combined children out. After we’ve got married ( and got through those costs) I hope to quit Job 2! SO would prefer me not to do Job 2 as he is concerned about the amount of hours I’m working. We’re not planning a big wedding, just close family and a couple of friends but even small weddings have some cost element!!
The last working week has been very challenging. I’ve been moved around in Job 1 and it has meant a different cohort and lots to figure out!
I had to go to hospital this week and was so relieved to find out that my latest blood test results show my iron level is back to normal. We are all very thankful and relieved.Had a lovely evening with DS1 and his fiancée. He is coming around more and for that I am hugely thankful.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . SO sounds wonderful, Honeysuckle. I remember you saying how much he has helped you cart load after load to the tip.
I’m so glad you’ve met him. Nobody deserves to be happy more than you!2 -

We are trying to sort out details at the moment. We’ve narrowed it down to 2 potential dates but need to decide on which one!

Well done the debt payment.
Good that you are getting closer to a wedding date. Feel free to ignore me but I'd want a pre-nup if I ever remarried.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
