Gosh everything is so much further on. Love camellias, I doubt they’d grow here despite having the right soil I think the wind would finish them off!

Hi Lucielle, I don`t know where you live but I`m in suburban Bromley. I have about three camellia and the best is a Camellia Williamsii which flowers just around Christmas time. They are easy to look after and don`t become diseased.3

This one was in flower at the NT garden. At home I have a Camellia Williamsii that flowers from Dec until March. Incredible - certainly brightens the garden when nothing else is growing.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Today has been more of a busy practical day. I got some work done for Job 1, picked up a prescription, got youngest Dd checked out at the pharmacists after the dr said she would get a phone consultation next Friday, dealt with 2 or 3 loads of laundry and got a little bit of gardening done. DD2 popped round for a cuppa which was nice. I’m struggling with the beginnings of a cold…so now catching ip
on diaries while I rest.

I love camellias. Mine is the proud owner of two buds but it only bloomed for the first time last year so I'm doing my 'proud mum' act. I've probably said before that we stayed in a hotel with a garden full of camellias in Australia, in September. They and the daffodils were in full flower. Part of me now thinks they are an autumnal plant.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
