Tkank you SA, Cherryfudge, SH and Lucielle.
DD3 is certainly a treasure!
Work is busier than ever. At Job 1, I have had to step up in terms of responsibility, for a temporary period. This has meant that I have come home absolutely exhausted, not so much physically, but mentally exhausted. Still doing the work at Job 2 so feeling just exhausted. Am hoping for a quiet weekend.
Last weekend I was able to see all of my children, not all at the same time , but at least saw them all. On the Sunday the weather cleared to be a glorious Spring day so we ( all but 2 of my children ) all walked on the cliffs for a while. It was so lovely to chat with them all and see them interacting with each other. My parents also came albeit not the cliff walking part, but it was warm enough for the first picnic of the year! Came back and got some peas and sunflowers sown. DD3 had bought me a new mini greenhouse for home as a birthday & Mothers Day gift, so I need to pot on the seedlings that are outgrowing the cell trays.
I also need to menu plan this week. This last week has been far too haphazard and I need to be better organised.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Did I miss your birthday? I seem to remember it's close to mine. I hope you had a good day!
This last week sounds exhausting. Here's to a quite, relaxing weekend.

Thank you Cherryfudge, Spendless and Lucielle.
Yes, Cherryfudge, my birthday is close to yours…combined with Mother’s Day this year.My idea of a relaxing weekend hasn’t quite happened as I envisaged…I’ve had about 4 hours worth of paperwork to do so SO was a star and went out and did the grocery shopping for me. His way of shopping is quite different to mine but am very thankful for his thoughtfulness. Youngest DD went to stay with her dad on Friday night. She was supposed to be back at a certain time…an hour later she wasn’t so I went to find her. She wasn’t at her dads…he had let her go to a friends without ascertaining which friend and when she would be back. Eventually located her to a town 30 miles away where she was a visiting a new friend that I had never heard of. I had the scariest hour driving to the town. It’s quite a busy place and not one I choose to go to normally. I am so thankful for DD3 and DS2 who were able to use social media to locate her so we could get her home safely. The ex wouldn’t even go to try and look for her. I don’t even have the words to describe how I feel about his lack of care for her.
Hoping for a more peaceful day today…paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Wow. I have no words for him either. I'm glad she's home though and you could find her.

That must have been very scary, thank goodness for the benefits of social media and sibling links. I'm glad she's safely home.

Jeez I don't know what to say. Teens/Tweens (which I'm guessing she is) can push boundaries about their whereabouts but add in the parent that was meant to be in charge both not questioning more in the first place and then not helping look when it comes to light no-one knows where she is! Glad the others were able to locate her and with several older siblings I suspect she'll have been told by them to ensure she's safe with her wherabouts and who she's meeting with known in future..
(I was once telling my own DD when she was 18+ about being aware of timings of trains and she answered she knew as 'she had been catching them all over since I was 14'. I said 'you mean 16' as this was when she started at college 40 miles away. 'Ahhh yes' she replied 'that's what I meant'. Hmmmmm and she was always at home overnight so they can wander during daytime too! . So I do know that you don't always know what they're upto but he still should have realised he needed to join in and help look for her!) .2 -
And that’s why I’ve a tracker on DS’s phone (though he tends to use it more than me to see where I am !)
