Beautiful pic. Bless you enjoying a rare time at home alone. The last time I got excited about having the house to myself was during the pandemic when for some reason DH and DD were out at the same time. We'd had weeks/months of all 3 of us at home 24/7. DS having chosen to stay in his student digs with his then house-mate, who today is DIL. Nowadays I spend almost 50% of the week by myself.2

Thank you Spendless, Cherryfudge, SH, SA, Willowtree222, Lucielle and OBL. I do feel very blessed to be able to live where I do and to have grown up with such views. I often remind my children that we must be thankful and not take it for granted.
Back to early starts today and Job 1. It was lovely to have a week to just be. The lettuce seeds sown last week are through as are the cornflowers. I always love this time of year!
Moneywise, I am conscious that spending on food is rising again. I think some is due to prices and some down to balancing feeding 5 for much of the week and 9 at the weekends. I’m still menu planning but need to be more efficient.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Can understand the food issue. I go through the same thing, with just me (and the dog) for most of the midweek, then doubles with DH here Fri-Mon. Smaller numbers but same principle. It's hard to work out what is needed. I seem to have 3 scenarios, loads of food, empty shelves or my current state not enough food that goes with; something else!3
