Thank you SH.
Today has been a positive day. I did spend some money taking 4 of the children to the cinema to see the new Sing film. We went at a time when all the tickets were the cheaper children’s price. I feel that I must try to plan in some fun times. I do try to do as much free fun stuff as possible which I know I am very blessed in having so many outdoor options close to home to facilitate this but DS3 asked today if we could visit a zoo and it was just a reminder to myself that it’s ok to do some paid for fun things as long as I’ve budgeted for it and planned for it. I did a couple of extra shifts last week at Job 2 which have ultimately paid for our time out today. I did really enjoy the film 🙂 - think I successfully, though not intentionally, embarrassed the pre teen by bopping my way out of the cinema😂!
The trip out meant we were already in town to get the grocery shop. DD4 is becoming as proficient as DD2 used to be, in grabbing 2 pieces of paper for the menu plan and subsequent shopping list!! We spent £88 but that did include a new pair of trainers for DS3 as his are starting to fall apart and about £10 on cleaning products as we seem to have run out of everything at the same time.
I’ve got a couple of jobs done today that have needed doing...the locksmith is booked so that I can open the door that I haven’t had a key to, since it was replaced about 8 years ago. Didn’t even have a key when the ex lived here🙄. Also got a letter written to the mortgage company to request removal of the ex from the mortgage and the transfer of equity.

Awe glad to hear you had a nice time at the cinema. Does the mortgage news mean that you can stay in your current house and not have to move.4

That's so good! Apart from it being your home and the children's home, you've invested time, energy and money into it - and it's a major stressor out of the way if you don't have to look for somewhere else.Honeysucklelou2 said:

Thank you Cherryfudge - Yes it is a huge weight lifted. The uncertainty of the last few years has been a bigger weight than I’d realised. It also means that the tiny mortgage overpayments I made in 2021 will be in my favour and will have reduced the balance albeit in a very small way.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . This is wonderful news! Did you think this would be the outcome and does that mean most of the main problems are at an end?2
