Had sw chips tonight for the first time - delish. Was celebrating losing another 3lbs at weigh in. Im really impressed at losing 11lbs in 3 weeks with making only minor changes to my lifestyle.

    Evening all
I've been away for a couple of days. I weighed in at a group in York where I was staying, lost 1/2. I didn't stay as I struggle badly with anxiety round people I don't know but I was pleased I made the effort. Unfortunately it was downhill from then on :D I had the evening meal paid for and I had garlic mushrooms, scampi and chips and a dirty great Dairy Milk sundae... whoops :o Then I had a meeting to go to next day and the food provided wasn't SW friendly... neither was the food in the goodie bag we were given... :D
However my infection seems to have cleared finally so I can get back to the gym and hopefully my losses should get better now. I tried some dresses on today and I can definitely see a difference- I tried a size 20 on in one dress and it looked lovely so I was pleased with that.

    Today's menu.
B: Raspberries and light and free yoghurt, HEXB HiFi Light x 2, decaf tea with HEXA S/S milk
L: Subway turkey and ham salad, 1.5 syns for sauce, water.
    Snack: mango chunks
T: 2 Heck Zesty Chicken Burgers (2) SW roast potatoes (1.5 syns for oil) mixed salad with extra peppers and celery, frozen yoghurt lolly (3.5 syns) water
S: Lemon drizzle Fibre One bar (4) 2 Crackerbreads with ham (2 syns) Fizzy Vimto Zero
    Syns: 14.5

  • Instead of the chocolate, I'm off to make myself a mug of options hot choc, only a couple of syns I think. Hopefully it will satisfy a craving.

I have one almost every night for this very reason! And yes, 2 Syns.

Well I really enjoyed my chips tonight, though they took a lot longer than the recipe said they would. How long do you put them in the microwave for Denise? Will have to try that, sounds easier than parboiling.

The burger in a bowl on the other hand was pretty tasteless. The gherkins were lovely though as were the massive portobello mushrooms. I'm stuffed now!

Well done on your NSV Mrs Ryan!

Tete I also took some underwear pictures yesterday for motivation and comparison at the end of this month etc.

9 weeks and I'll be on holiday again, got to keep reminding myself of that!

Must get the Birds Eye Fish Inspirations in, they would be a handy dinner for the parents.

Last night they had Salmon Fishcakes from M&S, salad and sw chips. I had a few SW Chips and Beans standing up whilst waiting on their fish cakes to cook lol.

I am knackered and the minute and really feeling not going to the gym. Just too tired to go at night after I have sorted the parents out.

Going to go on Saturday after group and then will have to get it squeezed in next week as it just makes me feel cross and horrible when I don't go.

Also TETE I have never tried Amaretto! Am I missing out??

I have caught up with some posts so first of all hugs to all but in particular to Kathrynha and Lushlifesaver. x

Thank you for your kind comments. Mamam - yes I'm trying - I paid £50 for a countdown this week and I don't want it wasted like other countdowns. I just want to get to target now and be done with it. I'm fed up with losing and gaining the same few pounds simply because I don't stick to the plan. Its a struggle but I'm hopeful that with exercising (the occasional run) that eating the odd extra syn here and there will even out.

On the subject of SW chips - I love them but its rare they cook just so - some are overdone and others are not cooked enough!

I tried the lemon drizzle fibre one bar yesterday afternoon and thought it was ok but not as tasty as the salted caramel fibre one.

That was my only syns until I got home when I measured out 25g of doritos (and was actually pleasantly surprised at how many you got for your 6 syns) but unfortunately I then ended up eating more doritos (unmeasured) plus dips with tea then matchmaker chocolates plus wine syns & a Malibu and coke down the pub (plus a few thin chips and a piece of garlic bread) BUT it was my anniversary and kind of date night so draw a line and try hard today.

Weather is awful and I feel tired and like I had 20 drinks last night- not just the two I had. I've had toast for my HEB this morning with marmalade (syns) and I'll start on my fruit soon.
Lunch is going to be goat's cheese salad and I think tea is going to be the infamous porky light sausages, sw chips, eggs and mushrooms.
    Have a great day all

    Happy anniversary Flat Eric.

I'm still feeling rather naff. Got results back from Tuesday, and they have found problems but thankfully not the C word in the area they were looking. They have however said it's not enough to cause such bad anaemia, so back at the hospital tomorrow for more tests :(

    Todays food plan:
    Breakfast - yogurt
    Lunch - steak and mushroom
    Dinner - stir fry
snacks - fruit and alpen bars

    HA - milk
    HB - alpen bars
    Zebras rock
  • Morning everyone!

Another wee pound off today. Ever since I have started at the gym, I'm only losing 1lb per week which I guess is better than nothing!

Hope everyone is having a good week!

I think you were quite restrained for an anniversary FE. Congratulations!:)

I have the same problem with SW chips but I'm going to try what denise said and turn them round during cooking. I have a fan oven so it shouldn't happen but it does. I parboil min for 5 mins and cook on one of those mesh trays. I find I get better results than with a baking tray.

Last night's meal was a bit disappointing but not hugely synful. It's a lovely pub, very convenient for the theatre but the food's going down hill. Everyone else had pies and they've become so heavy on pastry and low on meat nobody enjoyed them. I think it's cost cutting but if they drive away customers that rather defeats the object.

I liked the sound of the chicken in Parma ham denise. I've got lots of YS chicken breasts to find interesting recipes for. Did you make it up or is there a recipe?

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham, fried mash, mushrooms, tomatoes, spring onions with pickles
    D: SW Spaghetti Bolognese
Syns: Parmesan (but may manage to get this from HEA).
