Welcome to the thread kitkat. I'm sure you'll find the thread helpful in keeping on track. Post your menus each day if you like as this can help. The key to SW is planning, planning & planning!
Hope all goes well at the hospital Kathryn. Good idea to take a couple of Alpen lights in your bag at least you'll be able to eat something on plan. Hospital cafes are notorious for junk food and not healthy food. It really annoys me.
Not feeling brilliant at the moment as have just got back from the dentist and my lower jaw is still numb and feels absolutely enormous! DH has made me a cup of tea but I can't drink it at the moment but could really do with it but never mind the numbness will wear off in an hour or two.
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs on toast#
L - ham salad - lettuce, cucumber, tomato, grated carrot, pepper, beetroot, pickled onions, cornichons, spring onions
D - HM fish pie using salmon, smoked haddock & white fish topped with mash. Will probably add some peas to it. Syns will be for the sauce.
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - sauce for fish pie 4
Trying to keep syns low today as had a few glasses of red wine last night so went over by quite a bit!

:T well done mad with money and you too lush.HB - going to shove some Alpen light bars in my bag
That's a great idea as unlikely you'll find anything healthy in a hospital!
Why not try a pork joint lush? It's really good value for money. I just love this recipe:
http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/pork-recipes/6-hour-slow-roasted-pork-shoulder/
and it works just as well with bone-out but doesn't take as long. I don't use the veg for gravy just eat them as an extra side (or sometimes as cook's perks so they don't get as far as the table:o).
A house move is up there with divorce and bereavement as one of the most stressful times ruby. You're doing well to stick to plan when you can.:)
Aiming for a bikini body is a great incentive chocolate teddy. While I've not gone as far as underwear photos like tete and lantanna:eek: I do check in the mirror. Then if someone wants to whisk me off for a sunshine holiday I know I'm ready!;)Welcome to the thread kitkat. I'm sure you'll find the thread helpful in keeping on track. I've had a good SW breakfast (HEB toast with fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms and ham) but not sure of the rest of the day yet. I need to do my meal plan and shop. I'm feeling positive about the coming week as all in my control with no eating out in the diary.
Will report back later.0 -
First ever MSE post - just found this thread and getting so much motivation from it! I am doing SW from home as can't afford the online or group membership
I am loving all the ideas - I am so fussy so struggle with healthy eating and CAKE is my downfall! Any low syn cake recipes anyone can recommend would be much appreicated! It needs to taste YUM haha
So inspired by everyone's great losses! My target is to lose 4 stone and 8 lbs to get healthy and hopefully be able to keep up with the stamina of my two toddlers! I felt this was completely unachievable but leaving seeing that a lot of you have managed this!
L xxStarting SW Feb 2017 - Target to lose 4 STONE 8 LBS (64lbs)
12 weeks down (21/04/2017) - 19 lbs gone forever

Hi all
I heard on the news that veg supplies in the UK are still being affected by bad weather in Spain with rationing in Tesco and prices rocketing. This winter has been the worst we've had in 9 years and temperatures are still below average so it may be a while before the farmers catch up again.
Welcome to the thread PerthLady and Kitkat - feel free to join in the chat and ask any questions, there's a wealth of knowledge and experience available here. Kitkat - the current challenge ends at the end of February but there will be a new challenge you can join in after that.
Ruby - take the time you need to get your head back into the right place to follow the plan, as Maman said, moving house is a very stressful experience so you need to give yourself some slack.
Hope you get on ok at the hospital today Kathryna.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Chocolateteddy we are on the same trail. I have 10 weeks until my holiday so I am focusing on being the best I can be (at the minute) in 10 weeks. Project Swimsuit not bikini for me lol. Don't think I'll ever wear a bikini again lol.
Just written a plan for week one, targets etc to do and cross off. I'm better when I'm organised with lists etc. Like drinking 2 green tea a day, 5 cardio sessions and some weights exercises to get done etc. No wine just spirits
I'll not be at target by the end of the 10 weeks no, but I'll be happier with myself for putting the effort in now and will hopefully have a stone off. Just need to retain my focus for 10 weeks.
So tired today, glad I made Bolognese last night for tonights dinner.
Think I'll have an early night tonight and get caught up with some things on Netflix in bed.
Weigh in in the morning, would be over the moon with a small loss but I highly doubt it. Think I'll just pay and go if that's the case and go on to the gym before the consultant starts annoying me lol. Whatever it says its done and I'm already on to next week.
I hear avacados are the next thing there is to be a shortage of!0 -
Don't think we need to worry about a shortage of avacados - too many syns to waste for me! Think they're 7 for half of one.
Maman - I forgot to say about the stuffed chicken breast wrapped in parma ham. I had planned on making a chicken kiev but didn't have a HEB to do breadcrumbs so thought I'd just wrap it in some bacon to help keep the chicken moist. If the bacon burnt I thought I'd still be able to eat the stuffed chicken and just chuck the bacon. So that's how I've been making it for years but when I was in Tesco's just after Christmas I spotted a pack of parma ham in the reduced fridge so grabbed it. There was 12 slices so I split it into 2 packs of 6 and used 3 slices for each large chicken breast. Still have the other pack of 6 slices for another meal. Not on this month's plan but will probably be on the March plan.

Back from the hospital. Not good. I'm back there again next Wednesday. Not in a fit state to say more at the moment.
Cereal bars came home in my bag. Just feel sickZebras rock0 -
Oh no Kathrynha - big hugs to you. Don't know what else to say really, but you know we're always here to lend an ear xxx
Welcome Kitkat (I'm so gonna crave them now!) and PerthLady!
Hope you're getting settled into the house now Ruby!
Wow GT, shortbread is really Synful - no wonder it's so delicious
Ohhh Maman imagine if your reward once you were 'bikini ready' was to have some hunk whisk you away to a tropical isle! I'd have been at target and beyond two years agoI heard on the news that veg supplies in the UK are still being affected by bad weather in Spain with rationing in Tesco and prices rocketing. This winter has been the worst we've had in 9 years and temperatures are still below average so it may be a while before the farmers catch up again.
Ah this made me chuckle as I spent Oct-Dec 2006 in Seville and it persisted down for about two months solid during that time. And I lived in a house with no central heating (which is pretty common there) so all our clothes were just constantly damp and foisty smelling, good times.
Well done to those with losses and STSes, it's all good at this stage of the winter months I think!
That said I was disappointed with a 0.5lb loss, although it is well deserved. I am going to be a lot stricter with myself this week, and not allow weigh day treats to turn into a weekend of debauchery.
I am off out for tea shortly though and so excited for my parmo - a local delicacy, if you don't know what it is google it and be horrified!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
A loss is a loss tete.:T
Hope the scales are kind to you tomorrow lantanna. Even if it isn't a loss you've not let the parents drive you to drink or to the Chinese. Will they need you again next week?
Sorry to hear you so stressed kathryna, not knowing is so worrying. Do post any time you feel like it.:)
perthlady, welcome! In general, people seem to find online membership isn't worth the money. You'll pick up most of it from the early posts on this thread and anything else you want to know just ask. The 7 day menu plan and Google in general is good for recipes and ideas and there are some at the start of the thread too plus many of us post daily menus. I find I get most success from adapting 'real' recipes to SW and sometimes all you need to do is use Frylight instead of oil. What sort of things do you like to eat? Are you up for cooking from scratch with toddlers?
Thanks for the chicken recipe denise. I'll add that to my list. I did my meal plan and shop and bought even more YS stuff in Sainsbury's. They had both BGTY sausages and burgers so I'm having some tonight as I'm feeling lazy.
Plenty of veg still available at the moment lois, despite the media stories although can't see why people should need to be rationed to buying 3 iceberg lettuces each! I bought some kalettes to try. Super 6 was good in Aldi: chestnut mushrooms, mange tout, asparagus, chantenay carrots.
So EE plan for today is:
B: NAS grapefruit, ham, fried egg, HEB toast, mushrooms and tomatoes, HEA milk for teas
L: lentil and veg soup, apple & cottage cheeseBGTY burger (1 syn), fried onions, SW chips, mushrooms, tomato, green stuff (asparagus, mange tout, broccoli)
Syns: weekend wine!:T0 -
Hello, kitkat71 and PerthLady91.
The problem is, beanie, that there is still naughty food on the naughty step, I’ve discovered.
Wel done, Mad and Tete.
“it’s unlikely you'll find anything healthy in a hospital!”
Too right, maman. BTW I looked up the pork recipe and I thought that it was a fish in the roasting tray on top of the veg! Still looks tasty!
Sending hugs, kathrynha.
Those were particularly big and buttery and delicious shortbread fingers, Tete – they usually come in at about 5 syns per finger.
Friday
Breakfast: boiled eggs & hexb soldiers spread with laughing cow light triangle (part hexa)
Lunch: chicken & pepper salad with lime & chill dressing (guessing 3 for oil)
Snack: hi fi mint bar (3 ½ )
Dinner: baked potato, prawn mayo (1), salad, apple
Snack: rest of hexa cheese & grapes
Total syns: 7 ½Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400
