any tips on how to make quark more edible? My partner made low syn oreo cheesecake with oreo base, quark, choc shot and sweetner and the overwhelming taste was the sharp quark. Not nice 😕
I hate quark. Tried adding it to various things and it just made it all taste ikky.
If I want something sweet I use yogurt and if I want something savoury I use cottage cheese.Zebras rock0 -
That is actually dangerous to be telling you that. I had a short sharp shock when my GP told me off for losing 8lb in a week- she said that's bad for you and particularly for people who haven't got their gallbladder. I've told my consultant my GP has told me not to go for any big losses and that 1-2lbs per week is a healthy weight loss so from now on I will be aiming for 1.5-2lbs and no more- and she was totally in agreement, she's told me I should listen to my GP and that's a respectable loss.Unlike my last consultant who told me my GP was wrong when she told me not to do SP, that she (my consultant) was right and I should continue to do SP. I ignored her and listened to my GP and I changed groups not long after!
Totally agree! I might still have my gallbladder if I had lost weight more slowly.
She really annoys me, she says to people you've only one off this week - what happened this week etc. I gave off to her a couple of weeks ago so she's not bothered with me since.0 -
At the hospital this afternoon for tests to hopefully find the cause of my anaemia. Really scared, but weirdly instead of doing my normal comfort eating, I am really off my food. Most of the lovely stuff I've been making ends up in the bin, and only really eating enough to be able to take medication.
Weigh in tonight and no idea how it will go. Not eaten much, but not burnt much off either. Sleeping so much and no energy
Good luck for later, get well soon (((hugs))) xStart BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -

I am so grateful that I have a lovely consultant. When people STS or only lose a little she is so positive and encouraging about it, and even for a gain she isn't condemning. Also when you say what you want to lose next week she is happy with whatever you chose.
Last time I did SW the consultant tried to pressure people in to big weekly losses, and one of the reasons I gave up, was because it was downheartening when you didn't achieve it. She would say stuff like 'you had wanted 4lb loss this week but only got 2, what do you think went wrong', and you just felt like a failure every week.Zebras rock0 -

:T well done on your loss topgirl. Hope Sadio proves worth the plane fare!:rotfl:
Never too late to get back on track starry eyed.It really does help to post regularly if you can.:)
Fortunately, I've never had a nasty consultant like some of you. Mine was nice but dim but I think I got to target in spite of her because I was determined. I've got a new one now who is a bit too loud for my liking but at least she's enthusiastic. I don't think they realise that not everyone loses regularly every week. I'm not talking about because you've had a weekend away or something but it's not always linear and regular week on week.
I re-did my freezer list on Sunday and it was looking low on HM ready meals. I did Bolognese for the freezer in the SC last night which I've portioned up and kept some out for my lunch.
Today's EE plan:
B:NAS grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with Bolognese and pickled cabbagesausage (2), mash, carrots, cabbage, cauli, fried onions
Syns: gravy and sausages0 -
Good Afternoon
I am having another day off work so will be 48 hours off going back tomorrow
Feel better now and hopefully back on the SW path.
Had nothing to eat from dinner/lunchtime Sunday til teatime last night.
Yesterday I had Options white hot chocolate , 1 coffee and was sipping water all day . tea was Slimming World Beef in Red Onion Gravy with Veg Crush .
Today I have had 2 coffee , sipping water and for dinner had a sweet jacket potato with baked beans . Not christened tea yet .
Feel slimmer my belly isn't swollen like it was Sunday0 -

Thank you
I'd have had a helicopter poised above the stadium with a rope ladder dangling down, and had him home for Sunday dinner
Fingers crossed.
I've bought some chicken mugshots for my work drawers for those freezing cold elevenses moments. It's so dark here at the minute0 -
There are a couple of posters, I know lush is one that buy muscle foods. I think the syns depend on what you buy.
I do - haven't recently as I tend to wait until extra lean mince is on offer and then stock up but I found a local butchers who do a good deal so I'm trying them for now
all very nice, the chicken breasts can have a bit of a funny smell as first but its from the packaging and 100% normal.
Shala, please remove me from the current challenge.
I'm not having a great time of anything. I sometimes feel quite down and useless and others I feel useful and positive.
Not at all helped by the fact that I can not do a thing with my weight. This week I gained 1.5lb and ate really well up until Thursday night when I weighed. Don't know what else I can try to be honest as I feel nothing I do makes a difference either way. Not helped by the fact that none of my work clothes fit/I don't overly like the ones that do anymore and I just feel a bit meh in general.
Finding I'm even avoiding calling in here despite me knowing its very safe and supportive
today:
breakfast: porridge pot (had to grab something quick on the way out of the house) made with water. not sure on syns
mid morning: 5 malteasers, hifi light 3syn
lunch: chow mein made with blue dragon sauce - 3 syns, hifi light - 3 syn
mid afternoon: special k biscuit break (1 of 2 pieces) 3 syn
tea: planning chicken with bacon medallion served with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pickled red cabbage, beetroot.
not drinking enough either. Think I need to get a big bottle of water and some NAS squash for at work************************************
